    If the valve completely fails can that stop the engine from starting up

    Good morning sir i have a problem with may everest the code is p0088 and its fuel rail sensor (high) and my amperes reading on Suction control valve a is 2.5amp car wont start sir. Please help me is this sunction control valve fault or fuel rail sensor thnk you very mucj

    Will they play up when cold and then be ok when hot ?.

      Yes these electrical solenoids can play up when hot 🙂

    Can it cause them to intermittently cut out at idle by any chance?

    You have just described the same issues with my mk7 2.4! But am not sure how to correct it? New subscriber btw 👍

      If it's definitely the SCV then it needs replacing, but it's often replaced with the PRV. These then both need a relearn using ford software FORscan/IDS, so it requires extra tools or an idie with he relevant software

    Need advice guys... Mk7 first start and drive belt on is not starting just with Quick starter ,after warmed up it starts...once removed the drive belt it starts easily even cold or warm.
    Checked all the pulleys and everything ...all look fine 🤯 anyone experienced similar before ? Whats the problem ???? Help please 🙏🙏
