I don't think i've ever seen a channel go from solo creator to animation collaboration team in the way that you've all pulled it off and it's a very unique style that's a great addition to an already unique video format. Amazing work Noodle Team™
I agree. Though personally, I prefer the more simplified animation from previous videos. This is a tad overdone for my taste but that's just me. Don't get me wrong, it still is super charming.
Loving the animation, the wiggly lines bring a more organic feel to it, honestly. Still loving the videos :D
@@lucasbarriosp His older videos were always in this style.
(PS: if u need any animators, I know a guy. Hint hint. Hint)
The animation is so smoot
I'd like to add that in Most Wanted's game files, there's police dialogue that has cops gargling in their own blood after you crush their cars, which is unused to keep the age rating down.
REALLY?
@@ElysiumGD Yes. It starts at 13:02 in a video called "Need for Speed Most Wanted Unused Police Dialogue by Sage Ages (Re-Upload)" .
thats brutal
Holy shit that's metal
wtf that's kinda dark, glad they didn't. Don't wanna feel bad about destroying them cars
I'm legitimately upset there isn't a part two. This ended just before Need for Speed Carbon, one of my favorite childhood games
I was thinking that! Carbon is so good!
@@spicynutmeg9743 bro i also played carbon as a kid but no way that shit wasnt mid. it was just most wanted at night and the few additions they put in were gimmicks at best. sad too since the canyon racing couldve been way cooler if it wasnt like just the boss battles.
I hope part 2 is coming soon :(
Man i loved most wanted. I never played it myself I was too dumb and girly. But my older brother used to play and essentially my job was to play the passenger seat and relay to him what the next move from the cops were. It was a super fun way to bond and get involved without being given a dummy controller. We'd go on *forever* him on the wheel and me listening in on whatever radio garble was goin on just to announce when and where the next tack strip was gonna be. Deadass felt we were The most badass bonnie and clyde sibling team on the run lol. I miss those afternoons so much.

Same with GTA too lol

😂I totally forgot they disable the pause but in a pursuit! They should bring that back and have it Multiplayer 😨☠️
The section of the video was made well because game is so good as well
Everyone just talks about most wanted and shit. Why no one cares about carbon? It's my favorite one( even tho it's short as fuck)

hey csx, didn't know you were here! :)
Most Wanted was peak gaming in my youth, the racing, the city and the best OST of any racing game I've ever played ❤
Fun fact: EA had an exclusivity contract with Porsche that lasted 16 YEARS. This forced the other racing franchises to use relatively unknown brands/tuning shops that were famous for modifying Porsches, like RUF and Gemballa, to fill the Porsche gap without getting in trouble.
Yup in Gran Turismo 3 it was RUF

I guess this ironically created more competition for Porsche
@@milktar2182 yeah. Ruf became a really big deal for the mainstream because of that.

If the chase goes on long enough, some of the cops will literally say "OK I've had enough, I'm running this guy off the road."
It's great.
thats pretty much like real life
PIT maneuvers are the shit
And their excitement when you crash or get trapped too
8:03 I didn't see this coming, like instantly dying from laughing 🤣 more of these if there's a 2nd part of the NFS history video I hope😌
I love how much effort you put into animating this. I'm blown away. History is actually fun to learn, sometimes!
I always love it when Noodle wrecks his house, and instead of it being fixed by the next scene thanks to "cartoon-magic", the house just stays demolished for the rest of the video.
The hole doesn’t just stay for the video, it’s there f o r e v e r
It's gradually been acquiring more and more damage overtime. XD
had to go back and watch those videos again.
This room is going to turn into a pile of like six bricks four videos in the future
Makes you wonder what he is doing with his channel's revenue if he refuses to even start repairing his house. I can see him eventually squatting someone else's house in a video or two.
Noodle seems like the kind of guy who has a lot of good memories playing Need for Speed: Underground 2 and Burnout 3 when he was younger.
🤚
👌
burnout 3 was my jam
Nfsu2 was the best
blur
You really did put a lot of effort into the animation on this. I even appreciate the atmosphere that you created or since I previously watched the video wherein you specifically drove my attention to how you can affect the atmosphere for like a solid 20
Omg, I'm astonished by the quality of this video. Part #2 please 🙏🙏🙏
8:09 The “Kubrick Stare" is one of Stanley Kubrick's most recognizable directorial techniques, a method of shot composition where a character stares at the camera with a forward tilt, to convey to the audience that the character in question is at the peak of their derangement.
What is deranged about this man? This is a muted reaction to need for speed music compared to the average reaction.
How do I keep seeing this lol
Dude that one shot had me wheezing for like 5 minutes it’s so goofy and stupid and amazing I love it
I think it’s funny that he continues to purposely interpolate his work as a funny gag.
If that wasn’t interpolated then whoops.
If I see one more comment talking about this perspective shot in any video with a single frame of it again, i’m going to be perfectly fine with it but slightly annoyed.
this man could make a video about any topic and I'll watch
hello big meme guy
Like, for example, about the differences between Presta valves and Schrader valves :D
Just like NakeyJakey xD
I Haven't subbed to anyone in years, but the quality of that intro, and just that so far, has me completely hooked in under 45 seconds, that animation was super well done and funny as hell.
This is one of those videos that are just perfect, i do not think anyone can top the quality. Every now and then i return to watch this one more time.
The absolute state of that disc at 10:23 made me scream in horror
Would you believe me if I told you that's how I got it from the store, or that depending on which Xbox you put it in it still reads fine

Thanks for The high quality videos and awesome animation dude. Keep keeping it real.
You are probably one of the best content creators I've ever seen your work is so clean. please keep it up.
I love how the cops dialogue in Most Wanted, it's so well made. The getting more and more intense vocally over time, the one other game I know actually does that, is Pay Day, the longer the heist has been going and the more they are in active combat, the angrier and more pannicked the player characters voiceline become, like, reloading, if it's stealth and all the player's going to quitely say something like "changing map" in a calm, focused tone, if the civilians are starting to disobey and roam around they'll sound a bit more frustrated, if the cops start ariving, when detected they'll start talking normally, saying things like "I'm dry, gotta reload" in a clear tone, as the fight keeps going the player will shout more, like if they're losing their manners, until they start screaming and swearing "SHIT'S FUCKING EMPTY GOTTA RELOAD!" until they just go nut and start complaining about shit, it's a pretty neat feature.
Well, hell. Now I gotta play Payday
Spec Ops: The Line did some similar stuff as the story progressed. As combat got more hectic and the characters got more stressed, their dialog would go from the standard and professional "Cover me, changing mags!" to a sentence using what I'm sure was every swear word the script writer could think of at the time.
Being chased by the High Speed Task Force in Need for Speed Heat at night has the same thing as your heat increases - the cops openly comment on you "returning for more" and insist that this time they are going to bust you unlike the last chase.
They also loudly blame their car for not being fast enough or their fellow task force members for being too slow to back them up should you escape, which is great.
Kind of reminds me of how GTA does it. And while it's hilarious how they do it, the seriousness of Most Wanted's police radio makes for a great tone shift and strong tension.
@@andrewduong2740 the best lines are in san andreas lol the cops on the choppers "hey! i can see my house from here!"

Don't forget continuity, the broken house doesn't magically repair itself
Can we just appreciate the continuity in noodle's videos when it comes to his house? Like, first we were all so impressed with the fact he kept the carpet damaged and then a whole fucking wall is destroyed, and now pretty much the entire thing is completely DECIMATED because of all the crazy shit that goes on in the videos, and I was watching and thinking "wow haha he should make reconstructing the house part of the videos too" and later that's *exacly* the excuse he gives to end it?
Yep, lots of detail to continuity. Like how at 8:25 he crashes through a wall, then at 9:00 the wall is back, then at 9:18 it's destroyed again, and then the wall comes back again at 9:36, sticks around until 11:46, before mysteriously being mysteriously destroyed again one second later at 11:47. It then comes back at 12:22, and gets redestroyed at 12:47.

I'm playing Horizon Chase Turbo (got it for free last year on epic store). It is completely inspired by 80s/90s games. Nitro is there. =)
@@JolgeableHorizon's biggest stylistic influence was Top Gear for the snes which also had nitro
The fucking gesture animations are amazing, holy shit. They're so expressive with every little movement and crazy face. And I love you can see the tiny difference in styles with each animator doing different shots
Oh man, I loved Most Wanted on the 360. The perfect (for the time) combination of Burnout's car combat and Driver 1's psychotic police (with cheats). So much fun.
NFS3 was so much of my childhood, and the 2 Undergrounds were such a product of the time. The music is singed into my brain
Man please please PLEASE do a part 2 I grew up on NFS and would love to hear about the turf wars in carbon and the whole "overarching story" of that Ryan Cooper dood. Love the video!
Forreal I'm coming back to this video every couple of months because it's so damn well made. Normally with videos of this quality the commentary is more serious but this is both high quality and comedic
I was really disappointed when he didn't mention NFS the run, imo the best NFS and its highly slept on n' overshadowed by most wanted
@@papaspoon1550 I played through it, decent story but eh gameplay was lacking imo
Dude yes Carbon was amazing I loved the turf war aspect as well as the gameplay shift to canyon duels and I loved all the in depth customization it had! I grew up on the PS2 version of Hot persuit 2 then carbon and the chases we're just as bat shit insane. It was really fun! Would love to see a video covering that.
100%, especially with the release of unbound!!
8:01 this part fucking slays me, i grew up with porsche unleashed so seeing this animation go with activator made me lose my shit laughing hysterically
i love this video
It’s interpolated
>:[
Activator is when shit gets real
What song is it?
@@walidhammadou4605 it makes it even more absurd and adds to the funny yeah
I don’t think I have ever seen an AD with this much fascination 😭
I get the style kinda changes a lot, but honesty, I like that. Each animator gets their own little twang to it and they feel like they deliver jokes in their own way.
I like that :D
Great vido noodler
I played underground and then got into burnout for the funny crashy
Hi ross.
*video
Seem less blend of 2D and 3D, the classic Noodle thing of adding his little drawn man into existing scenes and clips, all tied together with an absolutely astounding opening that just screams his understanding of "Sick nasty racing games of the late-90s to early 2000s" and what they shot for during Underground and beyond. Glorious
I consistently come back to this video like every 2 months because it is such a vibe
The production value has sky rocketed. Amazing animation presentation.
8:03 the animation and the editing is getting so good on this channel, definitely worth the long wait for a new video
That part is one of the best things I have ever seen on this video sharing platform
@@sk8erbyern i love the face zoom in
It’s so beautiful.
God, this was a great video. I laughed, the animations and edits were GRAND! GRANDIOUS! WoNDerFul! Loved it, gonna show this to my grandkids.
I love the introduction of this video, it's just so cool!! :D
Never knew that chase music on NFS MW was adaptive to the situation in the chase. But I always had the feeling that it fits too perfectly every time. I was too dumb or too involved in the chase.
Isn't entierely true, it's mostly relative to the position of the cops being closer to you or not. ( And a few other parameters like the player's speed and such ).
He wasn't lying about the game having 4 themes in total though, but the 360 version sometimes shifts themes from time to time.
@@ScarLeRenard That's still cool though, because the game's...let's just call it "The Director" AI, is recognizing what's happening in the game, _in real time,_ and adjusting the score accordingly. _In 20-fucking-05._
I don't think that properly happened again until Mick Gordon did it with Doom (2016). No, I do not count games that change from ambient overtures to combat music, because the tracks aren't adaptive - they're static.
@@NaruSanavai " In 2005 " isn't that much of a big deal, it's not because the industry standards have gone to shit that it's a billion dollar feature.
Even the second Need For Speed had dynamic music, i mean it was simpler, but still.
@@NaruSanavai NFS 3: HP had something close to MW. The music changed from parts of the tracks and there was a different music for cop chases, but the didn't change based on intensity.
And when you're in cooldown, the music change for something calm but, also, thriller
God I'm in love with how expressive your animation is
fr also really smooth.
its a whole team of animators so graet job to them!
Like with cars
My first time playing this was from the magazine insert in Road&Track. It came as a CD in the actual magazine, which was the style at the time.
NF3 also had a soundtrack that adapted to the gameplay, as well as cops plotting road blocks on the radio, and they got angrier and angrier as time passed, and accents that changed depending on the track. When NFS4 introduced tracks in different countries, they also changed the cops' language depending on where the track is, as well as the speedometer (km/h or mph).
I was a bit sad to see Carbon missing from the chapter list, but after hearing you talk about Most Wanted I realized Carbon is basically a nighttime Most Wanted.
true.
Carbon was my introduction to the series and that game slaps ass so hard
Sad that Carbon legacy got boil down to "nighttime Most Wanted" when is improve on so much thing that Most Wanted fail at
Calling it a nighttime most wanted isn’t accurate imo. Carbon more so focused on the story side of things and slapped in the cop system as a last minute thing since cops barely have any impact on the game
Yeah but the first underground and carbon are forever my 2 favorites
23:45 - I played NFS MW so many times.. and i still get chills when i listen to that soundtrack.. such an amazing game.
I love how much you spent on Most Wanted. That game was incredible.
man every once in a while i come back to your videos because SOMEHOW your vids make my downloads faster, especially from sketchy ps2 rom websites
Little funny story here, My dad worked on Underground 2 and I told him about this video cause he was pretty proud of what that game turned out to be. When he learned that there was a part in this related to underground 2 he asked if i could show it to him and I gladly went to the segment to show him. He then verbally said "I wonder what this guy is gonna say about it" and when I hit play I just so happened to scroll riiiiight at 13:58 It was a good reaction.
that's so cool! which part did he work on?
@@dannycar25 Senior art director
4:55 i'm not gonna overlook how you put that filter on your animation. That really gave me a 2001 Cartoon Network nostalgia rush of some kind.
Lol A Nice touch!
You are way ahead of our current understanding or creating art! Keep up the work!
ive never had an ad make me sub til now, great work
This is easily the best video youve ever done from a production standpoint, WOW. The amount of times I was genuinely taken aback by the editing choices, comedic timing of your jokes, and ESPECIALLY the animation is insane and I doubt I can ever appreciate the amount of effort and dedication this video must’ve taken enough. Insanely good work dude.
I slowed down the footage just to make sure he wasn't interpolating the footage like he did in that hacker vid and yep it all looks great and extremely well done
Holy shit the “my favorite TH-camr” moment floored me.
I wonder who it was but also that’s just so heartbreaking and infuriating and just god awful.
Incredible video. Incredibly real moment.
Who was he talking about? Was it from the TH-cam recommendations video?
who is it?
im also curious. i have no idea what noodle was alluding to.
Maybe it was just a joke?
It was a joke he wasn't talking about any youtuber
