- This video I take you on a trip to the 2024 Davenport, Iowa train and memorabilia show. Included I show you all the items that I picked up and all the items that you would’ve wanted.
Marx guy here, always remember, " one man`s junk, is another man`s treasure". Those two circuit breakers are just that. That`s some train haul, you managed to gather up a lot of vintage. Which to me is what the hobby is all about, who needs new.
I’m really getting used to your comments and I really like them them a lot.
Old stuff is the best because I can figure out how to fix it. If it has a circuit board. I don’t want it unless it’s free lol😂
Nice Haul! Thanks for sharing!
Looks like a real nice show! Was excited that you showed the S scale American Flyer trains. All the TH-cam guys ignore us! Then the nice S Scale layout was cool! The Wood work diarama was amazing! Great price for the AF sign. I paid 10 for mine about 25 years ago.I was going through a large parts cabinet yesterday and found about 10 drawers or projects I bought Cheap over the years. You remind me of me lol. Thanks for sharing! Enjoy the trains! Cbtrainnut
Nice haul at a great price! The red flat car is either 6111 or 6121. They came with either a pipe load or log load. They were also available in yellow or two shades of grey
That's my gold van toward the north end there. My youngest son spent a good 20min enjoying that hand build saw mill.
The red flat car is a Lionel 6121 (made in 1956-57) and would carry pipes or logs...
That flat car probably had three wooden dowels representing logs. My first train set from 1957 had a gray version of the car.
Red Metal flat car halled pipes I believe.
I have a few Marx pcs in my collection from my childhood i also have a 999 that runs really good
The red Lionel log flat car i do not know the number. I have grey long flat car.
Red flat car pprolly hualed pipe or telephone poles
Looks like it was a great show, Derek.
If you have trouble finding a boiler front for that Lionel locomotive, you could cut the boiler front of a broken Marx 490 shell if you have one lying around, and fit that to the Lionel.
Ben @benztrainz did a video where he did that to a Lionel 8601 and it turned out really nice.
