Can’t believe you are from the region. We drink with the gang from Lake Liquors all the time- Great bottles Hope you enjoyed your time back in the region:
From NW Indiana too and still there. I remember going to the old Zunis in Lowell and watching some guys play in some band there years ago 🤔. Don’t mind the Region 5 and Fenwicks bottles, really like Fenwicks restaurant. Cheers
I’m in Lowell just a few miles south of Cedar Lake (and Lake Liquors). I shop at Lake Liquors often. Rick (the owner) is a great guy. I’ve got the 6 year and love it! Still have to pick up the 9 year, but will definitely get it. Thanks for the review.
Club D , haven't heard that in a while. Grew up in Highland used to walk past and hear the music rocking as a kid. Those Region girls are tough!Good memories.
Ha!! Dawn finished her degree at Purdue Calumet in Hammond, IN.. She lived in Griffith for a few years at the Mansards!! Small world! Heard of the "region" but not Region 5, can't wait to check them out!!
Girl after you with a knife huh? Was this where the early start of your affinity for running is rooted? 🤔😅 Sounds like a couple of pretty intriguing and delicious bottles. Hopefully will make it down this way at some point :)
Chicagoland meetup this Saturday! Only a handful of tickets left. Get yours here: www.eventbrite.com/e/whiskey-acres-meetup-tickets-1053795242939

Supporting local is great - hope to find a bottle someday. Cheers

Shout out to the Region and the Five! I have been lucky enough to try the 6 and enjoyed it. Also, love Phil's trip down memory lane.😊

Rick is a riot. We try to spend a few hours with him whenever we’re passing through.

Greetings from Portage!
Phil, glad you chose Julie and not the knife girl.
Do we know Julie wasn’t the knife girl?
😂
Then Julie found whiskey and her knife days were behind her. The Region Rules! Happy ever after! 😂
Love that you support other people’s dreams!
I enjoy the 1816 rye from Fennwicks. I have the 6 yr region 5. I enjoy it as well.
Awesome! I grew up in The Region!

Phil went to summer tennis camp at the Mansards when he was very young, and both of us attended Purdue Cal for 2 years. Crazy small world!
You’re near my old hood!! Grew up on IL side of the border in Hegewisch neighborhood… actually lived in the “region” for a few yrs in Highland. 🎉
Highland is where Phil's from. Small world.
Very cool … I’ve got fam in the area still.
WHISKEY CHEERS 😎
