    I like it, gauging for straps to blockwork, most of the time it never works block when we get to it

      Cheers mate! I always go slightly above my marks so if anything the block above the strap has to be notched slightly rather than cutting the one below 👌

    Good video! Quick question when you have pre made ladders do you normally set the first truss to suit so you don't have to rip down the soffit or do you rip it down? I've seen it done both ways but prefer to set the first truss to suit, just wondering what's your preference? Keep up the good work!

      Set the ladder to suite the soffit yes if u can

      Yes mate I always set the truss up to suit ladder and soffit size 👌 a lot easier that way I think too. Cheers for your comment 👍💪

    Do you fix the trusses to the wall plate when you stand them up or do you just put nails either side of the truss to let it slide forward or back to line through?

    • @ashleydavenport3794
      @ashleydavenport3794  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We just get it to the mark and then when we have about 6 trusses up, line them all in nicely and nail them in to the wall plate 👌 cheers for your comment! 👍

    No chance of falling off of that. Not familiar with the orange stuff inside y'all are walking on? I've built a thousand houses and have never seen that used.

      Hahha no! It’s good stuff. Called gm crash deck. Makes it easier to work off too. All sites round here are using it now 👌

      Most of them are mate, a few might be closer together that’s to make sure the loft hatch lands in the right place on the 1st fix (loft hatch is shown on the roof drawing). Cheers 👍
