    Stonnie, there are a million dog training videos out there. I think the reason yours are successful, and why people are drawn to your training style, is because of what you said in the first two and a half minutes of this video. I know I’ve been guilty of wanting perfection with animals (even with my kids) FAR too early. Your positive attitude toward dog training comes across from the first video in this series. Thanks for putting these together. I’m watching in preparation for my first lab, hopefully by Christmas!

    "The only need that I have is to enjoy the time I spend with my dog."
    "That dog ends up happy and looking forward to the next training session."
    Perfect! Stonnie, you are the Bob Ross of dog training.

    This is a great series! The dog understands what you want each and every time. I love how you built a friendship while setting the foundation for a smart, balanced dog. He looks like he loves working with you. Great stuff and it's really inspiring me to get a pup. Cheers!

    I cant show you any videos yet because I haven't got my dog! I can tell you that I have watched this series multiple times trying to pick up on every detail you explain! That being said, I want to be certain I know what to do as soon as I get my pup because this will be my first time training. I have used your tips on my buddys lab and she took to it very fast I was amazed. Huge confedience boost! Thanks brother!!!

    Thank you so much for these videos! My black lab puppy is coming home later this month but these videos are helping me prepare. I’m hoping to have the perfect duck dog/hunting companion and watching your videos is giving me the confidence and knowledge to be successful.

    Stonnie thanks a lot for all your training videos. I never had a puppy before and someone gifted me a chocolate lab of seven weeks. I am seeing very good results after following your instructions given on videos. We miss Mr Goat in your 10th part.

    Hey Stonnie, thanks to the last video my lab fetched for the first time on Tuesday! And did it so well, she repeated the process at a distance at Obedience Club with other dogs around! So excited! I have hope that she might make it to a tracking/hunting dog some day!! - Fiona

    I made some Kentuckey chicken the other day. You should make a piece on fried chicken and try to sound as southern and comforting as you can... Just wanted to say that, great video and all the videos are coming in useful. Wish you would do more water and outdoor work with dogs, maybe even some scent hounds. I got a little series running on my Redbone and thinking of making a thank you video to you for all the help.

    What if you had a dog that wouldn't pick up an object even when thrown? Would you shape the behavior with a clicker? I tried to find a video demonstration of it because I think you mentioned having one but I can't find it

    What are the treats do you use and how much do you usually give them a training session. Also can you use a blowup pool instead of a pond

    How do you work on keeping the dog from shaking after he gets out of water?

    Hey Stonnie, I have just recently purchased my own little chocolate lab she is 7 weeks old. I was wondering when is it a good time to start training them to hunt?

    • @StonnieDennis
      @StonnieDennis  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +calvin beman All dog training starts off the same way, to be honest. Get a whole bunch of socialization, build a strong motivational base, and teach her situationally appropriate behaviors. Specific things are easy to teach later, if a dog has a strong foundation...
