I am watching very closely, especially with Simon’s instruction. Because next month I will start to renovate my New France home in Perpignan. I am a young 68 year old woman, with zeal to get my new home (built in 1800) into great shape. Thanks for all this instruction! ☺️
@aelenecollins7279 - wow congratulations to you on your future endeavors with your new home. That is just wonderful, you will be fulfilling one of my old (in the past) dreams. I wish you the best in all you in your new home.
Well oiled team now. They had that floor and room framed out in nothing flat. Projects will just get completed faster and faster now. Hope Billy’s wallet can keep up! Cheers!
The scaffollding is working like a charm. They can cover more area at one time. I absolutely love the comraderie between Simon and Yanis! Wonderful to watch.
We have been following you since the Covid years. Love seeing your team and the amazing diverse skills that are transforming the Convent. You Petherick's are so talented. The organ relocation and rebuilding was so wonderful!
@@KatMer6163I’ve watched several people doing ceiling murals. They usually lay on top of a scaffold to paint , as you also have to be very steady handed with all the tiny details. Not sure how practical that would be for plaster boarding😅 And when you lay down, your arms get numb from the lack of blood flow to the hands . So no matter how you do it , working about e your head it hard on your body😔
Another beautiful day of progress to see. It is so wonderful to see such genuine care and respect between friends and family. Thank you all for all your talents you contribute. You all work so hard and so well! Simon explains things so well, and Yanis always works so hard - you all are absolutely amazing!!! Please be safe and know that you're in our prayers every day🙏 May the Lord bless you and keep you; may He show you His favor and have mercy upon you; and may He watch over you and give you His peace. Numbers 6:24-26🕊
So much inspiration ! Hard work but mixing in laughter and patience , along with skill- Well, you guys make it look so easy !!! Never lose the friendship that you guys have built !
When we did ceilings in long rooms (like banquet/classrooms) we used 3 sets of scaffolds. All lined up. As we finished the first. That was moved to the other end. Thankfully they had wheels and locks. But 4 folks could switch off. 2 folks plastering the ceiling, or painting later, and 2 folks movinf the scaffolds, getting paint or plaster, etc.
Simon and Yanis are buds for life, I feel. We all love the comeraderie they have. It reminds me of my older and younger brothers. Great job, guys. You will have to mix up the work maybe if your necks are too sore.
i've been putting off painting my ceilings for years because of the Pain in the Neck. i sooooo feel ya Simon. what a job!! (massage "and my neck too". 😝)
When my Daughter was painting our ceiling in the lounge her neck was suffering and I had the idea of placing a neck rest (like you have in a car and it rests around your neck) around her neck she found it much easier. Just a thought 🤔
Yes like a travel neck roll would work perfectly. I have bone spurs on my spine and leaning my neck back sends me into vertigo.. I have been trying to find the perfect type of neck brace..that doesn't make you sweat 😊
So pleased to see you making such progress! Such a huge project you have taken on and everyone is so committed. Wishing the best for its completion and for all involved.
Great job Gentlemen. This is going to be so beautiful when done too. I am amazed at the sheer size of this room especially when it was much different before you stripped the old walls down. It is great to see the original brick/stone walls and joists. Have a great day
My student apartment was 18 square meters! The room is about 4 times bigger.😆 I had fellow students whose apartments were even smaller and some had to share an apartment or just a room. It's nice to have space, even if you don't need it. I'm happy for you and wish you continued success! 👍💛
I broke my neck when I was hit by a car. After months of physio I still had a stiff neck. Painting a large high ceiling was the only thing that freed up my neck 👌
It was great watching the studs at work ...........oops, I meant the stud work is progressing! Like Yanis having his coffee in the opening scene. Brings back memories of the Folgers coffee commercial. "The best part of waking up, is Folgers in your cup".
It looks like the dining room ceiling is a bit more wonky than the kitchen ceiling was. Simon is going to work his magic and it will be beautiful! Lots for Yanis to learn still. "it's all in how you hold your mouth" as my Dad used to say.
One of the things about Yanis that I notice is his patience with you all speaking English - and not just speaking English, but without slowing down or omitting slang. I wonder if you all kindly put in the effort to speak French when not recording content.
I'm at the point of mixing my jobs up so I can save my back. If Simon's neck starts to suffer and it will, maybe, have another job on the go where he can look down. or stuff the wall cavities. Yanis is capable of doing some of the screwing and Simon could be cuttin'. DOH! I see that's happening already.
Billy and Gwen haven't determined yet. They did weddings at the Chateau in the beginning, but didn't want to continue with that. Billy has mentioned hotel rooms, or apartments, or Gwen's retreats. The town Mayer inquired about rental for city events. A mystery for the future!
Would it make sense to cut the plaster board lengthwise for the ceiling instead of widthwise? You'd only need to pieces per section that way instead of 3, which means fewer cuts.

From a 66yo woman, you're an inspiration!
All the best with the renovation. i'm coming to the end of mine. its all worth it in the end.
Wow, that’s great!!!
I wish you all the best for your new adventure 😊😊😊

Go Girl! 😊

I have great empathy for anyone who has to work on a ceiling! 😮
The scaffollding is working like a charm. They can cover more area at one time. I absolutely love the comraderie between Simon and Yanis! Wonderful to watch.
It’s so nice to see the dynamic duo together again!! Great job Yanis and Simon👍🏻
Todays end pose by Simon and Yanis 9/10 - A double thumbs up and smiles😊 Beautiful!
We have been following you since the Covid years. Love seeing your team and the amazing diverse skills that are transforming the Convent. You Petherick's are so talented. The organ relocation and rebuilding was so wonderful!
thank you 🙏
I am on team Simon. Working overhead is the worst for your neck and shoulders. You have my sympathies.
Michaelangelo worked laying on his back. The Sistine Chapel ceiling took much longer than the convent ceilings.

Thank you, Simon and Yannis for doing the neck breaking work. Great work to both
My neck hurts already, from knowing what you two lads have ahead of you.
Alex and Yanis, make it look easy, but it's not easy, such skill!
It’s coming along quickly now, love to you all xxx💕💕💕
So fun and relaxing to watch. Would love to see how things are going in Simon's house. 😊
So much inspiration !
Hard work but mixing in laughter and patience , along with skill-
Well, you guys make it look so easy !!!
Never lose the friendship that you guys have built !
Billy you looked great up on Udea!!!! I would love to see more riding!!!
You guys make me feel like I could go and renovate a home myself with all of Simon’s wisdom
What a team Simon and Yanis make. A well oiled machine. 😊
Another day closer to a beautiful dining room 😍
When we did ceilings in long rooms (like banquet/classrooms) we used 3 sets of scaffolds. All lined up. As we finished the first. That was moved to the other end.

You guy’s make it look so easy when I know it isn’t. 🙏🙏🙏Blessing’s
You all do such amazing work .. the stud work alone shows how much care you putting into the projects .the friendship you all have is refreshing too

I’ve also put off helping my daughter paint her ceilings. We are both dreading it.
Lovely father / son relationship between Simon and Yanis. ❤
Great job cracking on. 👏
They even start to look alike😂
They act like boyfriends, IMO. 😊
They act like best mates. It’s great to see.
When my Daughter was painting our ceiling in the lounge her neck was suffering and I had the idea of placing a neck rest (like you have in a car and it rests around your neck) around her neck she found it much easier. Just a thought 🤔

Great idea for us all ❤
Hi all I’ve used a rolled up large bath towel it helped as I didn’t have a travel pillow
Thank you for that tip.i have some ceilings to be done and suffer with neck problems.i am deffinitely going with this when i get to this job.
So pleased to see you making such progress! Such a huge project you have taken on and everyone is so committed. Wishing the best for its completion and for all involved.

Well done you boys....what great workers....
Stunning job..Janis and Simon..keep cracking on!!
The high quality of your work and exceptional work ethics is OUTSTANDING‼️🔥😍🙌🏻
What a smart way to insulate and plaster the ceiling but just look at the kitchen. See you tomorrow Yanis.
Well done guys 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏💙💙💙
Sweet. Sweet.
nice to hear Simon speaking in French to Yanis 👍
Brilliant job again our Heroes👏👏👏👏👏🥳👌👌

Yannis your English is getting better and better 🎉
Could I suggest Simon and Yanis try a Michelangelo move One more layer of scaffolding and they could lay on their backs!!!! 👨🎨👨🎨
On the bright side . . . these are 18" X 4' boards being installed overhead and a lot lighter than full 4' X 8' boards.
You guys are doing an amazing job!! I guess you cannot feel your neck anymore after such a day!!
I broke my neck when I was hit by a car. After months of physio I still had a stiff neck. Painting a large high ceiling was the only thing that freed up my neck 👌
Did you just volunteer?😅😂😂
Thanks
Instead of patron xxx💕💕💕
Super episode! Lovely progress! 😊❤👍
I might be watching too much. I've started calling our Home Depot store Brico without thinking.
Simon and Yannis are a great duo, they just take it their stride.
That’s some hard work! Well done!
Amazing!
Awh I need a coffee mug to add to my morning❤
It was great watching the studs at work ...........oops, I meant the stud work is progressing! Like Yanis having his coffee in the opening scene. Brings back memories of the Folgers coffee commercial. "The best part of waking up, is Folgers in your cup".
Hey guys ever thought of using a plaster board screw gun, a lot faster than individual screws….Kiwi
Impact driver!..👍
Man that’s a lot of work 😮❤
Cheers! Brilliant to find your channel and looking forward to catching up on your journey!
Hey Yanis, your english is really coming along. How is their french?
Billy,Yanis,Simon my crew. The work is never done. Until tomorrow. My loves, please take care and stay safe. Love ya 🍺🍺🍺🌹😇🌞🌈🇺🇸🕊🙏❤️👍

Do what now?
It seems alot easier with the scaffolding ❤
A drag racing helmet neck brace would work perfectly as a neck support
Great work lads 👏👏👏👏
Aaaand relax 😊
Great you guys wish I could have a 🍺 with you all . Love ❤ you in Michigan. 💪👍🐸🍺
happy day!!!
Lost track of yiu for a long time. Now playing catch up
See you tomorrow 😊
Je épatée que ce chantier ce fasse si vite avec une si petite équipe 👏😉
That's a mouth full!
“Billy blue boy” 😂😂😂
😊❤
My neck hurts just thinking about that ceiling
👍👍❤️
Wish the videos were longer, at least half hour, I always look forward to watching the improvements.Does Simon have a channel?
Simon said from day 1 that he does not want to have a channel, but would let Billy keep us up to speed on occasion. Which he is doing.
Have to adjust for the wonky bits.
Ain't that true in many parts of life 😊
I've done a massage course. Shame my passport isn't up to date 😂
And my neck as well 🤣
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Next time you’re disassembling a mortise and tenon joint, drill out the peg rather than trying to pound it out. Much easier.
😊
Can we just talk about the fact this dining room is bigger than the three bedroom house I’m currently living in????
Fiber tape is interesting!
❤
Billy in your next QandA time if any do you have a time frame for up and running kitchen and dinning room as an working event for the bussiness
🌻
It’s nice to see you treat yanis. As a family member….
I didn't know there were Yanks in the video!
He probably meant Yannis
@@toddperman8265 yep! I just noticed that he already edited it Yanis. Thx!
😊🏴
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️😇
Does anyone recall how to access the 3D tour? A current one would be awesome.
I bet yall have a fortune invested in sheetrock!
🥰🦄🏠

Is Simon working on his place on the weekends?
Where can I buy that Pethericks coffee cup?
I’d love to do that too x
It hurts my neck watching. Swap out.
I bet the builders 250 years ago would have killed for a nail gun 😂
This is going to be a long haul and hard graft....steady away lads.
❤🐨
!!!
What is the convent going to be used for once the renovations are completed? Thank you
Weddings and other formal activities I believe I heard.
Billy and Gwen haven't determined yet. They did weddings at the Chateau in the beginning, but didn't want to continue with that. Billy has mentioned hotel rooms, or apartments, or Gwen's retreats. The town Mayer inquired about rental for city events. A mystery for the future!
Is the work in the old kitchen restoration on hold oron Michael's channel ?
The Chateau kitchen is Michael's baby. Currently he is cleaning the wall tiles, which might be awhile and he felt was redundant to film.
Believe he is working on his roof before winter and all the windows need to be painted and stained before going in, plus putting in the glass
