As an Idaho native, this is one of my favorite channels. Haven’t ever been to the plane crash but I’ve heard plenty of stories about it. Beautiful shots!
Thank you so much dude!! That means a lot to me. Man its worth it if you can make it out there!! Shoot me an email if you need any advice cuz it can be hard to find.
thanks for posting great content. I enjoyed your Moab videos also. the B-Roll of the mountains, lakes and other scenery is a good addition. I will never get to see these areas, so its great to see them on a video.
Thanks so much!! I try to include b-roll where it fits comfortably because it adds so much context to the video. I’m so glad I am able to take you to these places with my video work!! That makes it worth it 🤟🏼
Southern Utah, red rock and sand. Northern Utah green and mountains. Sounds like you need to see more than southern Utah, Moab. One of the reasons I love Utah. Within a short drive I can get it all. Family is from Idaho. Northern Idaho is beautiful, mountainous. South eastern Idaho, Idaho falls…. Flat… windy. Point is you can never judge a place by one area of that place. Love the channel and becoming a fan real quick. Great job man!! Hope your channels grows!!
Oh man you have no idea how much I want to ride northern Utah and even parts of Wyoming too!! I totally agree with you, I only see that piece of Utah and I really wanna see more of it. I wanna ride warner valley too the next time I’m back in southern Utah 🤟🏼 Super stoked you like the channel man!
I’m a lifelong 4wheeler, overlander! Just getting into the motorcycles because my wife and kids arent in to the back country scene. Idaho BDR is top of my list! Which brought me to your channel. And you’ve done an amazing job capturing the beauty everywhere.
@coryfarnworth1010 right on dude! I highly highly recommend the Idaho BDR!! It’s an incredible route. Maybe one day I’ll try to get a crew of viewers of this channel and do a BDR together. I think it would be cool!
That would be cool!! I have had plenty saddle time on road bikes. Owned a few for years. I don’t have the skills you and your viewers probably have on dirt bikes. But hit me up when it comes time. I’d love it!!
Browsing through TH-cam Videos and found your channel. I definitely stumbled onto Gold. Excellent production and narrating. I understand how much work goes into producing these videos. Here's to wishing you the best for the future!!! Keep it up, You will grow your subs X10.
@@madjack_757 It was EPIC! I rode the trails on the 4th. There was very minimal bike traffic. One trail I rode, I've only ridden it 3 times before - 2015 was the last time, then I think 2008 was the time before that. I can't remember when the first time was. I should have went back up there at least one more day for more trails, but I got lazy and did a ride on my DRZ. Doing trail rides reminds me of why I really like my EXC-F! I've always been a bit apprehensive about going out on solo trail rides when I do it, but after watching a bunch of your videos, I think I'm cured now.
@@DualSportDoug Thats awesome!!! Yeah I think having different bikes for different purposes is really important. I'm stoked I helped you get back into doing solo rides!!
@@madjack_757 My Friday DRZ ride was a 180 mile ride up towards Lake Chelan and back. I'd never be able to tolerate that on my KTM. Long rides is why I keep my old, antiquated DRZ.
Dude I’ve never gotten the chance to ride there! I really want to tho! You should get some footage of the place and post it so I can see what it’s like 🤟🏼🤟🏼
Sometimes. At slow speeds the fan is desparately trying to keep up. Some of the mods I want to do are upgrade my cooling system and increase my oil volume to compensate. Nice!! Did I meet you on Prichett?
It would be awesome if you listed the gear you use in the description! I'm in the process of trying to outfit myself and my 690R and really value the gear you decide to use. I learned a lesson the hard way and am now shopping for some good knee protection, lol.
In July I am slammed with work, but in August I am hoping to film a new series entirely about my gear selection!! Keep a lookout for it because gear questions are so common and I really wanna showcase the things I’ve found to be the most useful. Oh nooooo! Did you hit your knees on some rocks??
@@madjack_757 Awesome, I'll be looking forward to it! I banged my knee on the top triple clamp and split my knee open. Thankfully no joint damage. Funny thing is my riding pants suffered no damage. It was a very low speed get-off, but now some type of soft or hard knee protection is needed.
@ipdjbt dude! That’s so gnarly! Sometimes blunt force can just split you open.. really glad to hear your joint was fine. Hopefully recovery is going well and make sure to keep those stitches clean 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Honestly I think either option is a good choice. The only thing I can say negative is that these 500s are very maintenance heavy. Though, they can do anything which is a huge step above other dual sports. I actually have huge plans to build out the husky! It's just a matter of sourcing the money for it. I am hoping to begin selling some merch thru the channel at some point and offer memberships to try and fund it. I think the rekluse could be such an amazing upgrade.
@@madjack_757 Not sure what content you plan to do for the memberships, but if it was content about riding techniques, planning trips, bike maintenance, anything BDR related, and how to shoot content like you do, I would instantly enroll.
@habibi750 yeah I still gotta figure it all out. I think I’d do early access to videos and a few series like how to film and whatnot. Stoked to hear the support for it!!
Idaho Viewers: Please keep trail names / coordinates out of the comments and if anyone wants information email me privately 🤙
Such an underrated channel.

Nice! Looks like a cool ride. Thanks bud.
If you want to see bears on the trail then ride an E bike and sneak up on all kinds of wildlife!
I just finished a weekend of similar riding up in WA State on my favorite trail system, which opened up for the season on the 1st.
Nice!! How was it?

Was out there a few weeks ago. We were trying to find the route up to the crash but was unlucky to find the correct trail
If you can make it to the edge of the lake, the trail forks left and right. Take the right hand trail and you get around to the plane!
Do you ever have an overheating issue? I met you once in Moab, great vids, keep them coming

3:09 OOPS! I did that a few times this past weekend on my EXC-F 450. The second time I came to such an abrupt stop, I ended up dropping the bike.
Hahahahahahaha
Been enjoying your videos, what mirror and mount are you using?
In this instance I think it may have come with the bike but I’m not sure. Now I use double take mirrors!
I’m stoked you like the videos!!
How long (in miles) is this track (Part 1 and 2)? Wondering if a DR350 would be a worthy bike for this ride?
The whole loop was about 12 miles. I would also say the second half is probably the longer of the two if I had to guess.
What chin mount do you use?
I run a pretty standard mount that you can find on Amazon. Nothing special, but reliable 🤙🏼
Just curious, is there a reason you chose to buy a husky over the KTM?
Also, any plans for a Rekluse clutch in the future?

Thing is way too loud. Need stealth sound to help keep the trails quiet and secluded. Cheers.
