The legendary F-4E is coming to DCS World, and is now available for pre-order!
Thank you for all of your passion and support. DCS: F-4 launches this winter and we can't wait for you to experience this cold war legend.
TAKE NOTES ED. This is the kind of company that needs maximum funding. They actually push the envelope and make NEW stuff for the game.
Yeah unfortunately the last time HB made ED look subpar it resulted in much less support from ED. Still waiting for the SC Tomcat bugs to be fixed. Not being able to launch 4 Tomcats in rapid succession is a stupid problem to have.
For the flight milsim u should say...all détail like This...send this to higher level.. it's not a game even tons of people are playing with..but truly, it's a pure madness simulation ❤❤❤❤
DCS World by HeatBlur Simulations
@@Dyson_Cyberdynesystems Very true, ED has egg on their face from being showed up by a better company and they are very vindictive about it.
I don't think that's true at all; I think that's a made up scenario you've created in your mind for some reason.
Wow. 40 years of combat flight sims I've been waiting for a _good_ Phantom to fly. Thank you.
Welp, there she is bud. Gunless & Double Ugly.... It's gonna be great! 😈

As a DCS player in Japan, I really wanna say thanks for creating F-4EJ livery. I just can't appreciate enough.
You sure it's just the livery? I think Heatblur is insane enough to sneak in the Kai fully
There was literally a track on Meteor's album named "Kai"!
Along with the Showtime 100 of VF-96, the Japanese Phantoms are the best visually, I can't get even started talking about the blue RF-4E and how beautiful she is
@@BenderIsGreat_34 If they do I'm cumming in my pants lmao
@@w00per8the Kai sounds far fetched.... And maybe Aerges would do something crazy like that.... but I'd be ecstatic if even the base F-4EJ is present beyond a livery even when its inferior in every regard. There's definitely more important variants like a wild weasel phantom though
I think back to the Jane's simulators of the 90s, and I'm so jealous that young people get a platform like this as their starting point. This looks absolutely unbelievable.
Young people can never appreciate the same way because they never experienced the journey to get there.
@@ghostviggen As a young person i love dcs and gonna get the f4 for sure and enjoy it !
@@russiabear4044 I’m sure you will, but imagine waiting 40 years for this.
I'm really happy that "young people" enjoy this type of hobby so that it can continue to be funded and develop and get better and better.
To be fair I haven’t had as much fun since the Janes series. I just don’t have time for DCS modules can’t they please fix the game mode for those of us that miss survey sims?
Heatblur, you guys did it right. I was an F-4E crew chief. I sat in that cockpit more than most of the aircrew. Your detailing is exquisite, even down to the rattle of the egress escape tool. That made me laugh out loud. I thought it was so cool, I showed my wife, she thinks that I'm a idiot. What does she know? I'm getting my own F-4 again!
😂🤘🏼🤘🏼
I can't wait to hear what people like you and your colleagues have to say about the module, too cool.
Muhahaha, this comment nails it - thanks for sharing your opinions, and those of your wife (I had a similar experience, rolling eyes included ;-))
that wife part hits home brother hahahaha We know what we like its not for everybody but fk it..... its for us!!
They will never understand. And that’s fine. 😂
They mentioned jester in an A-6… this made my whole year.
Heatblur really knows how to do this. The best.
I'd want to change Jester's name in the A-6 to Virgil Cole.

Rewatch the F-14 reveal trailer
this trailer made something else stand up for me
As a junior 3d environment artist, I'm stun at the level of detail of individual mesh. Even excluding normal details made by zbrush, the material work is nothing but incredible. This level of work is mostly seen in extremely high budget film, so to see this level of quality in a game is mind blowing.
The amount of material elements this thing used is probably 100+
Cheers from another Enviro Artist mate! ;)
The rigging, texturing, remeshing that would've gone into this is mind-blowing to even comprehend!
As a professional 3d artist in game dev industry, I agree with you.
Have to hope it doesn't impact performance much...
I know a good quote from a book I have called “Phantom Over Vietnam”.
“If you stop for a moment and imagine the wildest, fire-breathingest, farthest-out thing in the world, and then let your imagination out one more notch, you’ve got it indexed. It was a healthy Phantom hauling buckets into its element… coming off the catapult where it’d gone from zero to one-eighty in two and a half seconds. The word for it is awesome.”
Poetry
Great book - the pilot who wrote that had a head like a computer, calculating those bombing sequences - incredible!
Words can't express how awesome this release is. I'm overwhelmed with information and excitement, this module is Phantomnominal.
Isn't it just Phantastic!
i phucking love it
This is the way.... 07's
when this hits dcs e store the servers are going to go BOOM BOOM.......lol
I’d definitely say it’s Egg-Cellent!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
That hotkey that brings up the manual page on whatever switch you select should be a standard feature on all modules, it would help so many players. Keep up the excellent work as usual HB!
One reason why the Phantom was very loved was its greatest strength
It can do it all
CAS, Interception, BVR, WVR, Ariel Photography, Carrier Ops., there literally was a Phantom for the Job, and it did it well
For the last thing you will see from a Phantom, is the smoke it will leave you in
If the F-4E module is as good as the F-14 tomcat, this is going to be phucking amazing.
And Jester 2.0 will probably be amazing
It will become probably even better then the tomcat, judging by heatblurs history of pushing the boundries above and beyond
It's gonna be better!
6:15 screw it, if they pull off everything they say in this video, this will probably be the greatest DCS module in terms of simulation ever made. Thousands of pieces with simulated damage/wear-wise, from light bulbs and tgp motors? Insane
Don't you mean Phucking Phantastic?
The interactive hotkey help inside the cockpit is a great idea! Also great to see Meteor returning as a composer for the OST. It will surely be a blast!
Game-changing to be able to read up while in transit to the AO.
wish they would introduce voice commands so I could uninstall Voice Attack

My dad really enjoyed this video. He flew RF-4Cs out of Udorn in '68 (14th TAC Recon). Got his 100 Missions N Vietnam, Roadrunners, Thud Ridge, and other patches. He mentioned that the first E prototype was a modified RF due to the similar nose configuration. At 89 he won't be playing DCS but maybe someone will make a movie from your models he can see sometime.
You guys at Heatblur push the very limits of this simulator experience, VERY good job, to all of you people involved with this project.
I didn't think anything was going to get me out of the Tomcat and then this comes along. And in a few years, I'll be saying the same thing about the Phantom when you release the A-6. You guys are truly amazing- I seriously can't thank you enough.

Hello there
ED is always an exeptional trailer producer, but you guys at Heatblur surpassed any trailer ever made. Let alone all the features and customizing. Incredible
That song is perfect for this! I still get goosebumps thinking about the skill of those pilots, their loss ratio and the sheer scope of everything going on at that time! The phantom was the best airframe that I've worked on. Absolutely loved it!
Honestly I'm almost, ALMOST, most excited about the small quality of life things coming with this module. Things I have dreamed of for a long time now. Hotkey+click on a switch to open the manual to that specific page? Oh my god, every module needs this. It's SUCH a good idea.
That's amazing! I worked as a crew chief on the actual aircraft at 7:32 68-480 Ramstein 1981
So many cool people in this community
They did it. Absolute madlads. Leve of detail and new mechanics blew my mind. Keep pushing that line, Heatblur. Setting the standard other have to try hard to reach!
Thank you heatblur for pushing through and being patient with the comments from the DCS community. You guys delivered beyond expectations.
If you dont make Robin Olds available as an avatar youre seriously missing a once in a lifetime opportunity. Just sayin...
They hit this one out of the park. WAY more cool things than I thought would be included. Pushing DCS farther along, Way to go Heatblur.
standing ovation for you all at Heatblur. You should be proud of sticking to your standards and releasing fantastic works of art and simulation and not compromising on releasing incomplete products to the state of early access in the name of profit. I havent played DCS in a long while now. I've just been doing other things. But I will purchase your aircraft just on principle for your dedication to your work so that when I get back in the DCS mood, I'll have it there in my virtual hangar. Congratulations on completing another iconic aircraft for us all to play with.
Every time you guys release anything you raise the bar and put everyone on notice. Be proud you have created an amazing company and products. Thank you for your passion and dedication and bringing dreams to life as well as preserving these incredible machines in a way we can interact with.
Components based simulation is the future. Heatblur really outdid themselves this time. They set a high standard for fidelity.
The F4 changes DCS and all flight sims forever.
I was fortunate to work on the F4 Phantom Marines 6060 PR, I was in awe of it then, and still to this day. Looks impressive.... can't wait.
pilot customization might not seem like a big deal to most people, but its HUGE for immersion when you spend so much time playing with friends and taking screenshots and videos. i can't be more excited for this
That would make even more sense if ED decided to make DCS more ArmA'esque and allowed for controllable avatars. Being the pilot and not the plane itself really makes for better immersion.

Yet again, Heatblur goes above and beyond. They are the gold standard for modules and I for one am super impressed. It was a no brainier and a complete "shut up and take my money" moment.
I am listening to old fighter pilot songs from the Vietnam war at work and thinking about how great it will be flying the Foxtrot Four, Phantom II with the Red River Rats and Col. Olds.
Now we get to ride this emotional high and do it all over again with the A-6 intruder.
Devil 505, feet dry.
1:42 I can not wait to play a big mission like this with a large formation of F-4s and have that time where you all meet up to refuel in air and with the new coms that is gonna be AWESOME
This is not a DCS-Module.
This is a celebration.
Holy moly....
Whoever made this trailer.... holy hell. I am totally new to DCS and flight sims.... and this trailer gave me goosebumps and made me almost tear up from how epic this is.
I dont even know how to fly the first plane I bought, but im already buying this.
The first 3 minutes are just pure combat aviation glory! 😄
Making trailers has become an artform, really.
Well done Heatblur. I am not that interested in F4, but I'm buying it anyway to try it out and to support the amazing 3rd party devs, who not only deliver the module, but implement a ton of features around it. I wish one day these features will be translated into other modules in DCS, from F10 menu to instruction manual. Fantastic ideas you guys (and delivering it)!
One of the most beautiful trailers I've ever seen. Amazing job, Heatblur.
Heatblur absolutely knocking it out of the ball park once again.
SUPER excited for the Phantom we all know and love!!!
This could be the most detailed and accurate simulation of an aircraft ever created for a flight sim. I am so hyped.
In 1981 I pulled lone sentry duty on two fully armed F- E's and a KC-135 on the ramp at Shemya AFB, Alaska.
Soviet Bear Bombers would fly by in international airspace and our guys would intercept.
I used to pray for them to scramble because it was so freaking boring back then. I never imagined I could someday
"fly" one in DCS.
I feel like this is worth it for the on-the-fly documentation alone. Actually being able to know what every switch and button does with a simple click instead of needing to google a tutorial or guide will make the learning process that much faster and enjoyable
I worked F-4E/G radar (APQ-120) for a long time, and I'm looking forward to seeing the DCSG radar scope in this simulation. The radar was part of the Weapons Control System, as was the AIM-7 missile firing system (lockon, launch, guidance), and AGM-65 missile firing system as well (not to mention the ASG-26 Lead Computing Optical Sight System in the -E, and ASG-30 in the -G))
What would be the expected range for the radar, cant find much on it
@@mamo4731 Actual (not estimated) radar ranges are typically highly classified and because nobody bothered to file a FOIA request they probably never got around to declassifying it for the Phantom, or because there might be a couple allies who still operate it. It will be up to Heatblur Simulations to answer what to expect in DCS. What we will get may be in some ways influenced by reality but is still not strictly bound to it. They are trying to create a convincing lucid dream, not a reality.
The maximum range was 200 miles, but lock on was limited to 50 miles. There were range settings of 5, 10, 25, 50, 100 and 200 miles if I recall correctly @@mamo4731

In Heatblur we trust! You guys really go above and beyond for our satisfaction. I’m going to have so much fun in VR with this one.
Always super impressed with how you guys not only bring in a high fidelity module but also how you push the platform as a whole. Looks fantastic
Pretty neat features regarding the in cockpit tutorial/manual and pilot customization. Hope this plays out well.
I grew up 5 miles from the 147th ANG at Ellington AFB. The Phantom sites and sounds, and sometimes even smells, were part of my childhood. Thank you for building this.
What I love the most in Heatblur modules is the *clicks* sounds inside the cockpit (levers, metal stress, etc). Even this type of audio it adds a lot of details. I'm sure there will be in F-4E also.
The extra stuff included with this module is amazing. On my way! To prepurchase
You did it once again Heatblur, Bravo! It was an instant buy for me and I can’t wait to see some of the new things transfer over to the Tomcat! This has far exceeded my expectations for what would be included.
My mind is blown about the attention to detail here, this is the ultimate fighter jet simulator fantasy. Alone the slow-motion vapor over the wings just give me chills. I was not sure I needed this, but now I need it now! (And oh my god, I'm looking forward to the A6 getting the Heatblur treatment).
I got the F-14 Tomcat a few months ago and am in love with it. When I was in the USN aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt CVN-71 I can remember them covering the flight deck and hangar bays. Dozens of them. We had VF84 and VFA-41 (Jolly Rogers and Black Aces) and the plane captain for VF84 was in my bootcamp company and he would let me sit in the cockpit and look around. In DCS, the Jolly Rogers HiVis livery was the exact bird the CO flew off our deck. It looks so good! The wear/tear is just right, the soot from the engines, the grease on the landing struts...all right there. This looks as good or better. Really looking forward to it. Already downloaded the NATOPS!

Heatblur NEVER disappoints!
Of course, it's all awesome. It's Heatblur.
Two things: I do hope that your adding all these tremendous interactive popups is optional. I still want the raw experience (short of being in the plane).
That said, the Phantom burned dirty. Are you keeping the exhaust trails in there? I remember growing up in Virginia Beach in the 80s, and the Phantoms always had at least a little smoke trail behind them.
All that said, I love the looseness of the cockpit and structure.
Blown away. I would love to see this amount of training detail included in all new DLC modules.

Pretty sure they’ve teased that they’re waiting for just a few more dominoes to fall before they can do it. I know we were close to having the final piece of the pie, but ITAR restrictions nixed that a few years ago.
