    I love it! I've never seen such thin-walled PVC, though. If I find it, I'll do this.

    So, the circumference of the round pipe should be about the same as the girth of the square pipe when finished? That's how you select the size of the boards you insert to stretch it?

      Think so and wondering something similar.
      I need to convert a cylindrical pipe with an 11-inch circumference into rectangular dimensions 2.25 by 3.25 inches (the 4 sides of which equal the circumference). But I wonder if the woodworker must give me one piece of wood to that entire dimension or alternatively, if that will be too precise and hard to fit, should there be multiple pieces (that add up to make the total)?

      @@ecomamaadmin3328 Yes. If there was a proper way to do it it would be like that. I'd also wear some heat resistant gloves when working with heat and such.

    I see you didn't use schedule 40 pipe - that would not be so easy would it ?

    Hi, I want to convert a cylindrical pipe with an 11-inch circumference into rectangular dimensions 2.25 by 3.25. I Does the package somehow become airtight? I need protection from ambient humidity. If this doesn't provide that level of protection, how can I tweak it accordingly? Should the woodworker give me one piece of wood to that entire dimension or are multiple pieces (that add up to make the total)?

    • @edeaglehouse2221
      @edeaglehouse2221 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It would be a little difficult to stretch the pipe over a single piece of wood at once. Ideally, two pieces should form opposite sides, with some spare room in the middle so you have slack to pull the pipe over it. Then drive a wedge between the pieces to force the pipe out to the final dimensions. The walls will be airtight as long as you don't puncture them while stretching the plastic. You can still use PVC cement to attach PVC ends and make the final piece airtight if you want. Not hard to slice a piece of pipe and flatten into a sheet for all sorts of uses.

      @@vietgarden8417 he asked for a long pipe .. not about the diameter. Because I have the same thoughts. You did that just with a very short piece of pipe. How "easy" is it to do that with a long pipe?

    Hello, can you provide a link as to where I can buy a pipe like yours? All the pvc pipes at Home Depot and Lowe’s are very thick and not as thin as yours.
    Thank you for your video!

      Look for discharge PVC pipes (the water that goes to the sewer), those have thinner walls because they don't work under pressure, common water PVC on the other hand work with pressure, that is why they look so sturdy and robust.
