Matt never apologize for not being able to be on the water brother! I'm speaking for the TB family we all would rather you not be on the water till your 110% mentally and physically. Then to be on the water and you not be focused and hurt yourself worse or take even longer to get better. Just know no matter what God has a plain for you and everything that has happened. Just to see you back in a video smiling and full of life again is all we need. Thanks again for another amazing video! #TBStrong

These are some of your best videos, just sharing your knowledge gained from experience. I fish straight tail worms about 90% of my time on the water and everything you said can be taken to the bank (no pun intended). No clickbait, no drama, just laying it down. The rest of youtube should take notes.

I love shaky head fishing! Just started it this summer, and I've been experimenting using tons of different types of plastics, not even just worms, to give the fish something they may not have seen much before and I caught my PB on it, 5lb 6oz! It's not a lot at all in California I know, but in New Jersey, it's pretty big haha!

So the most recent Summer Gear vid brought me here and I can remember about 2ish years ago this being the video that introduced me to the channel. Ever since then the knowledge I’ve gained has a lot to do with TB. Glad you’re healthy today and thanks for information you & Time make available to us! 💪🏽🙏🏽

" i dont care whether its an 8 inch bullworm or a magnum trick worm"
Love the honesty. Too many guys are acting like every tiny little detail of everything is going to have a tremendous impact. There is huge importance in paying attention to detail, but it is a breath of fresh air to hear someone remind us all of the reality that a bass sometimes just doesnt care whether or not there are purple flakes in your green pumpkin trick worm. Great video!

Matt, had to write. First, it’s really great to see that you’re starting to look and sound like your old self. That’s fantastic.
Second, this video knocked out of the ball park for me. Watched the video Friday. You really told me what, how, and where to fish worms. Promptly went over to Bass Pro and they had non of the items you listed (l’ve since put a $150 order into Tackle Warehouse). I picked up some similar large worms (primarily Yum). Went our tournament Saturday night and started fishing the large worms and hooked a large bass on the first cast! We ended up in the money when the night was over all because of your video.
Thanks again for all you do.

I caught my first fish on a shakeyhead the other day, I was using a grub type bait though. It was a large single tail grub, came in an MTB box. Had a shakeyhead that matched its color in my bag already so I figured I’d try it out. It worked!

Thank you for taking the time to keep us informed on great summer tactics even though you are still recovering. I am mostly a Texas Rig fisherman and also use quite effectively unweighted Senkos rigged Texas style, so using a shaky head will be a new experience for me. It's funny but Junebug and Green Pumpkin seem to be the only colors that work at my lake so I will have confidence using them. I've been out of the game since 2015 when I had a second stroke that took my ability to stand and walk away from me, so now I will be fishing out of a wheel chair limiting my choices in areas to fish. But rest assured I am getting back out there. I've been watching your very informative videos and others as well. Thank you for doing the great job you do.

First, off Matt, our prayers are with you and hope your back on the water soon brother.
Last weekend It was bluebird skies and hot. I was following a tip from another one of your videos where you and Tim talked about big bass in shallow water on hot days after the spawn, so I started fishing grass lines near the banks. I cast my jig out and was working it and it felt just like it does when you got a big wade of grass around your lure and line. So I kept pulling it up and it got to me a big ole bass head stared me right in the eye and spit my jig out. From now on when I get that strange grassy feeling I am taking one of those free hook sets :D.
That is all I have. Get well soon

great video i really like how you explain to set the hook anytime it feels weird, ive lost a few fish thinking i was in grass but when i reeled in there was no grass on the hook. ive learned that worm fishing here in lucerne ca. is amazing during mid summer and fall. but when i want those big bites i throw topwater all day long. also a good cheap worm rod is a ulgy stick from walmart, most ulgy sticks are very sensitive and work amazing for the hookset. and another thing i do is work the worm with slack line, pretty much jig it and then let the line slack and watch the line, it will pull or drop more slack when a fish bites, ive even had it start pulling to the side and then i set the hook

A "best-seller, " in my book. I've noticed that you field very few questions from your viewers, in the comment-section. I'm sure it's because you do such a fine job of covering the imperatives in your pitch.

I love the information you give, I have learned so much from you and I try to follow your instructions, but I have been where you are. I had a great lawyer and I got my brand new bass boat from the settlement. I tell everyone I almost died for that boat. Maybe I don't know the extent of your injuries but you do move your arms well enough to fish and it certainly seems like you can do it. Put your big boy pants on and do it. Don't talk about how to do it, show me. And your wife shamed me by making froging seem so easy, those girls were impressive! You Can do it! If it's uncomfortable to cast well show us some jigging techniques or flipping. Just Do it. I'm the kind of guy that needs to see how to do it not told how to do it. P.S. I'm 56 and still learning.
