Why? Its in line with the just about every other mid range steel watch $4900US for an all steel Luxury watch. Only price improvement I could suggest is bring it down to $4300 bringing it closer to cheaper IWC pilots. Other than that, its a pretty neutral price.
I'm satisfied with its case and bracelet, however, I do feel the dial looks a bit underwhelmed(maybe I'm a bit nitpicking, but I'm a big fan of Grand Seiko so you know my standard will be high...).
Their price tag is quite high for a sellita movement but so are many other brands longines breitling tag etc... have the same range of price with an ETA or sellita movt .so it is not a bell and ross matter only. But the problem.is their design they look awkward huge on the wrist thick bezel tiny dial i dont get along with them .oris is worse . So my idea is either you go and buy and wear an omega panerai or rolex or wear a 200$ swatch cause the in~between does not deserve their prices . They have inside them the same movt as swatch watches
Bell & Ross instrument watches have round bezels in proper square cases. The BR05 has a squarish bezel set on a squar(ish) case. Anyway ! I’m glad B&R makes this model which allows chaps dreaming about a Nautilus, Aquanaut or a Royal Oak to be able to buy a steel watch with integrated bracelet without waiting lists and ridiculous price tags. What I don’t get is how B&R can pull this one, selling an homagey model with a bog standard Sellita movement at €4500, when half the watchfam is up in arms with Steinhart selling very decent watches at sub €500 price point, copying design directly from Rolex models. Or B&R selling the BR V1, which is a Sinn 556A rip-off at twice the price ?
Hervé Chretien well, you have some good points Hervè, though the Sellita trumped an ETA movement in my box for acccuracy :-). I’m more for a return to the 60’s-70’s when there wasn’t such a big emphasis on In-House, like the first Rolex Daytona with the Zenith movement..
E VH that’s a very good point! As it’s only a 100m dressier sports watch they went for the super sharp butterfly clasp, but YES when the seasons change and the high summer temps come you’ll be out with the tools..
In short , this has a good but unoriginal design . The main issue is it is OVERPRICED for its mediocre movement . This should just be priced around £1800 .
Beautiful watch. I've never really been a fan of Bell n Ross until this release.
John Huo well, ditto! I was surprised...
Surprised me..
Hi! Congratulations for this review! What do you about a comparison with the Baume et Mercier Riviera 10746 ? Thx
I think these look amazing. Just hope they come down to $2000.
Shipmate yes please☝🏼
No way
I want to buy it... It is different previous models...
hello. whats the intro song name? really digging the music
Tried it yesterday..Nice but too ex..the thick bazel makes the dial looks small..still prefer the Golden Heritage..
I just can’t see past the absolutely ludicrous price tag.

Agree £3,900 for this
Review the Blue dial version as well please.

Leya Y fair point! The new video I’m working on this weekend is on a SBGA229, and my personal fave in my collection is an SBGR053..
Just whaouuw... beautifuuuul watch

So in a way you just said that it is a Patek Nautilus homage.
Good video, good watch, great logo ;=)
Love the growing mustasch, Go movember!👏🏻👏🏻 You did get my opinion on the BR05 on Insta!👍🏻😉
beautiful
No micro adjustment on the clasp sucks

@@Wristwatchism That is why i hesitate to purchase an Aqua Terra for example, same for Grand Seiko

To expensive £3,900 might as well save up and get a rolex
Good luck. Rolex submariner brand new gonna cost you 14,000 on the secondary market.
No rolex looks like this...
Problem is Rolex, Breitling, Omega are becoming really common now! See them everywhere now
Too spensive mannn
