That watch looks FANTASTIC on your wrist. A perfect fit. Also, the manufacturer Bell & Ross uses for their cases from what I’ve heard is the best in the business.
Rob, I couldn’t agree more! When I first saw it I was mesmerized- and then I read the comments. I couldn’t understand the crazy amount of hate. Basically all these nerds saying it was a Genta ripoff. Morons.
Have a good friend that has a very extensive collection with some very nice and high end pieces. He got a Bell and Ross almost 2 years ago. He has not bought another watch since and wears is all the time! I will admit it is super comfortable and you can't deny the sex appeal of the explorer style dial.
I initially thought this was an oversized Nautilus homage when I first saw pictures but then I recognized all of the classic Bell & Ross design cues and realized it was actually pretty well sized. Probably the best watch they’ve made 👍🏼
Bought my first Bell & Ross last weekend: a BR03-92 Golden Heritage. Able to get 25% off MSRP. Very happy so far. Checked out the BR05’s but opted for the 42 mm BR03.
Great Vid Rob, thanks for the review, was really looking forward to it. They had all the color ways of the BR05 available in the metal at WatchTime and the black dial on bracelet was still my favorite. Think I’m going to end up officially watch poor by Christmas!
Almost totally agree. Definitely not a hater and seeing one in the metal warmed to it even more. Still think the dial is a little small/bezel a little fat though.
It actually wesrs really well Pete & they are priced really well now compared to when you reviewed it at $5400. Both my wife & yougest daughter have one.
I like it, agree that tiny crown would be an issue for me. The lume showed up really nice here on my end Sir Rob. All in all a very nice watch. Love that Skeletonized back in grey ... Just caught the price, OUCH
Hello, would like to know if is it worth buying a rubber black strap or if should i go for a steel band. I have rado captain cook and Versace watches in steel straps. also does it black silicon strap fade or start wearing it off.
Somehow the bazel makes the dial looks small ..not at this price point considering it is not in-house movement..I have tried it at the AD..my fav Bell n Ross is still the Golden Heritage..absolutely stunning with the gold hands and indices..

RR when it was released all the normal reviewers had so much hate for it, but Rob the problem is all the big TH-cam channels are producing content now like clickbait ad soon as it hit social media & Instragram...they are not reviews with the watch in hand or on wrist like you & Bruce do anymore as they are more interesteded in how many subscribers, likes & the size of the revenue cheque is each month. Noboby did any research to see that the BR05 is classic B&R DNA they all called it a homage except for Pete from Not So Obviois Watches & Paul Thorpe who did objective reviews like yourself. My wife bought it on bracelet in Black with Rubber strap extra & my daughter got it on bracelet with the grey/silver dial which looks much better in person than in the photos. Personally if I was to own it for myself as I already have several B&R models in my collection I would buy it on the strap, the same configuration you have.
always had a soft spot for square watches like this and the monaco but never buy one. this is a really cool looking watch even though Bell and Ross is not vert popular atm.
I know it is personal taste but I have seen this watch (in the U.K.) and I just think the bezel is just too thick. If the dial was a little larger I think it would be proportionally better.
I don’t get what you are paying for... you can get Tissot or Hamilton watches for under $600 with 80 hour power reserve. But I guess this watch would be the same if they slowed the bph... Someone explain?
You must really like square watches. I can't stand them but to each is own. I am not offended. Just not for me. You love the square Gshocks and I love the round ones.
3500 is too much to pay for a bell &ross imo . There are way better options in that price range. For around 2k , i think it would be more compelling for what it is.
I think that watch is horrendously ugly, but to each their own. I remember when I thought the Sinn U1 was ugly but now I might just save up to buy one if my Helm Vanuatu doesn't satiate my lust for one.
Damn it's ugly. But that's what makes it special like the royal Oak. Definitely catch the eyes like all atypical designs. I would be surprised if this watch design took less than 30 seconds for the designer.
I love the watch and don't get the hate for the design. Yeah it's takes inspiration from ap but so what, everyone takes inspiration from somewhere. Personally I think they made it distinctly br. My only problem is the movement at that price! Sorry but that's just plain robbery. As much as I like the esthetics, the price / value is way out of wack!! Not even close and so not worth it at that price at all.

Bell & Ross is such a great brand, their watches just scream quality and luxury when you hold them
I think that lume looked pretty good without being blasted first. Just my opinion. Thanks Rob for another great video.
Studio lights are really bright
bell and ross have always been (IMO) one of the coolest looking watches out there.

I dont have access to watches like this, so when I see a fine watch like the BandR imo it's a beautiful piece.
Seriously beautiful watch. Square bezel and round dial all seem to blend and work together.
The lume was better than I expected. I was expecting Hamilton lume or something horrible.
For me, blue dial on steel bracelet is the winning combination for my collection. Will eventually get one when discounts are offered by Ad's.

I think Bell&Ross are great. I have owned several B&R square watches in 42mm. I shouldn’t have sold them.

I guess it's too reminiscent of other for some folks. I like it! It's certainly more accessible than a Patek or Royal Oak.
