@@norawayfmthis just isn’t true. Gilgamesh had all the “Proto-type” treasures with a few exceptions, such as Proto-Excalibur. Since he is the first hero, every weapon originated from his treasures, like rin said in the VN she SAW Gae Bolgs prototype version. They all have names and he can use their abilities they just aren’t the original variations. His ego and the story just prevents him from pulling out any weapon he needed, since he’d just tell himself he doesn’t need too.
I feel like this is one of the main reasons Fate/ Strange Fate is so interesting because it feels like reigns have been loosed a bit and everyone is cracked in some way. I also things it's so crazy that they way a heroic spirit is remembered can drastically change a spirit because they can gain or lose a phantasm depending on purely on something that might not even be true.
It's really because there's no longer any rule to that fake war. Honestly like they actually summon "ill*gal" servant if you forgot. Like if Enkidu is possible? Yeah I don't think Gilgamesh is limited due to archer class now.
On the topic of David, I feel like he’d be interesting to make different classes for. Saber David would be pretty good, with the Sword of Strange Hangings, but also Goliath’s sword. When he fled, he took Goliath’s sword with him, it’s one of the big things about him. A rider version where he rides a chariot would be good. Caster, because he’s noted to have done some cool magical stuff, especially with his harp. I imagine being a bit like Martha, who is stated to be able to blow people up with holy energy, she just doesn’t. A ruler where he’s king would be cool too, but that’s just me. Edit: forgot, potentially he could get assassin, considering he snuck up on Saul and could have killed him, but didn’t to prove a point. Just a thought.
Since the whole point of servants is to downsize heroic spirits enough to be summonable and get more control of which of their aspects they get, I think it's good to keep their abilities and NPs capped per summoning. Maybe you could cheat with some post summoning tampering but you'd basically have to stack servants and double the expenses. The cap is important to keep everyone balanced so they have a decent shot both for compelling conflict and for the general premise of why they're summoned. I think the real fun is picking out individual heroic spirits to figure out all the stuff you could theoretically do with them with different interpretations of them + classes. The limitations around how many abilities and NPs servants can have means you might have to get creative to find ways to represent all those interpretations. That's not just the legends but also cool things you could do with how they'd interact with nasuverse concepts, alternate timelines and taking them from different points in their lives. You can see some of that with some of the canon servants, like how we have different versions in the same class, different classes, different ages and different timelines. We also have heroic spirits whose legends can summon multiple people as well as people summoned to stand in for fictional heroes.
Yep like this is why I said it in last episode. Most servant's stats are limited just by their class. Like realistically Artoria can have all her stats at A+. Why? She can do everything like if you read her lore... She's the fastest, immortal (Avalon), got excailbur and Ryongo... The same goes with so many servants too even someone like... 1) Herc => He uses EVERY known weapon to beat his labor. 2) EMIYA => He can also use every weapon. It's not that he can only create blade but more like that's his class limitation... If anything, EMIYA already memorise every weapon Gilgamesh have due to his confrontation in the past. Like you can watch UBW alone and see how he literally copies everything he saw except EA. Why didn't future EMIYA do that? His class limits to just sword... 3) Cu => Yep, he also has more than 10 NP+ in reality but his class also limit what he can do. He can't use his spear if his class is still caster.
NPs changing per class or form of use sounds like how Bazett-Manannan. As an Alter Ego, she can change it's form. Specifically we can see Fragrach Aonbharr changing forms from a horse to spike balls or a shield as seen in her death animations. If Bazett-Manannan were summoned as a different Servant class, we could see Fragarach beimgbtreated like Gate of Babylon. That being, it will change form to fit the Servant class.
Here's an idea: since there are composite Servants, would it be possible to have composite Beasts and which ones would have the best compatibility with each other?
Cu getting shafted was a real low blow, leave him be, this is a great video, and really shows what I have been telling a lot of people all of these heroes are nerfed to a degree, the biggest issue I have is when someone considers this nerf for one servant but ignores it for any other servant. In the end if Saber had Avalon or Herc had 15 NPs in every fight things would get boring really fast cuz they will just keep on winning, it won't even be a fight because they won't break a sweat.
There are also cases where servants get seriously nerfed due to the class system. Diarmuid being the prime example. While we know he has a set of Swords and spears, in the myth, Diarmuid Would mainly fight with a sword and a spear, something he can’t do under the Servant class container system.
Do you think it's possible for a servant to become a High servant by fusing with the different variants of their servant container such as saber Artoria and lancer artoria or berserker hercules and archer alcidies and saber magalos hercules
Funny scenario; All the Saber faces want their date with Shirou that was interrupted in the original Fate route, no one can agree on who should go, and all the variants keep sabotaging each other. BB says Divide Shirou to gaslight them into letting go, so that she can run in and sweep him away. Seeing that they're divided, all the Artoria variants invade the Kai from DBZ to steal the Potara earrings for a massive fusion. Now we got Fusion Artoria with all the powers of her variants, with barely any of the drawbacks. She'll have her date, and she'll get the cake that was denied her.
If you been a long time Fate enjoyer these questions are fairly obvious but its good to amswer it clearly for the benefit of new fans. Gil in theory must have the most nps but the lack of showcase and proof is because of his limiting factor so the story he's in could work.
