Hmmm I don't think the wire through the harness clip was necessary, it's usually being grounded that allows to circumvent the PBS. The wire through the harness clip isn't making contact with anything...or is it?

I have a AVH-501EX pioneer and used a toggle switch and grounded it to the side of the radio. DO NOT FORGET YOU HAVE TO TOGGLE TWICE! Just as the E brake twice

I understood everything except why did you put the wire into the white connector empty space. Are you using chassis ground using pressure from connector for making this connection? Why not just directly connect the green wire to gnd?
Is the green wire passed threw the white to simulate the switching of the ebrake from off to on?
I have a Scosche SU03B harness that has an orange wire and an orange and white wire. My Pioneer AVH-200EX factory harness has ONLY an orange and white wire.
Do I need to connect the orange and white wire and leave the orange wire disconnected, or should I forget both of these wires? I know they are for illumination, but I'd like to know how to connect these orange and orange/white wires. Thanks for any help!

Any radio with Double pin can be bypass with a 12V Relay. This worked with my AVH-3700BHS.
Will this work on the avh x5600bhs? Ive heard it will but not sure ive tried the regular relay and it didnt work.
what happens if you just ground the green wire but not the other wire on the rca harness?? will this damage my vehicle?
Your pioneer and clarion units are the only ones that need a video bypass relay all,other ones can just tie your brake wire and ground together
i have a pioneer avh-x4700bs i tried to do the bypass by just hooking up normally light green eith light green black with black and the blue with the blue it does not unlock my radio if i ground the green do i need to hook up the blue wire ???
Question did a bypass on my factory screen watching this kid’s TH-cam it worked but my ebrake is on. So do I cut the wire and leave the radio portion connected to the ground
I've had 4 pioneer indash model back to the very first and one of the latest. light green wire tied into black for your ground and its done. never will have a problem again

Without the plug it would be impossible for you to do.

Nice video and i quick question. I installed the bypass and also hooked up the gps antena to the radio, but when I am driving i cant use TH-cam or miracast, a screen shows up on the screen telling me that i cant watch videos while driving. Is that because I hooked up the gps antena to the radio?

put the green wire on black ground , and your done , much easier . just strip a bit of the black cable and tape or solder the green wire on it

just ground the green wire and add a switch and turn it on and off and bak on so the ok symbol lights up I did it to my pioneer avhx5800

Yeah same thing. I did it with mine. If it doesn’t work for some reason. Hook a toggle switch to it to emulate the parking brake going on and off make it does electronically. You would have to turn the toggle switch on off and then back on again. I’ve had to do that on units as well.

on a 3600bhs you just double pulse the green wire with a dvd bypass

What needs to happen? Does it need power and then need to be grounded?
the unit is looking for a brief ground pulse for 1.5 seconds and then be open circuit then see a steady ground. that is what our part provides for you.

I DO highly recommend you purchase the Lesco bypass module for around $20. I would not recommend putting the parking break wire directly and permenatly to a ground source. As this will cause a ground loop condition that can and will eventually cause damage to the sensitive electronics..

Can't you just ground the park wire and it will work with the car in motion. I know you're not supposed to watch DVDs while driving but I let the kids watch the head rest screens.

What did you end up doing. You don't need anything special. Just installed a avic 500nex. All you do is splice the light green with the ground. Then press and hold the bottom left of the screen for 10-15 seconds and you're done. I will be uploading a video in about a week to show how I did this

You grounded it when you put it through the harness and plugged it in. Attaching the ground was redundant.

This don't work with new pioneer models.
just ground the e brake wire no matter what color it is, it will be labeled all that other stuff is unnecessary, it will send a constant signal to the radio while it's turned on, problem solved
William Faulknor that's all I've ever done, works on every unit I've had.
I've found that on Pioneers if you just ground the e-brake, after you get up to speed, it will cut the video. This method works on some, but not all, and especially not the units with Navigation
