He gets the general direction right but not the exact sound ofc because for that you'd need multimillion $ studio equip and the exact stuff they used at the time but it's impressive nonetheless and i admire the idea and execution. I would love to hear what Hetfield and Ulrich think about this.

It's more mature musically than Kill 'em all, and Ride the Lightning and it _really_ makes me wonder what And Justice for all would have sounded like with Cliffs input. Sadly, what could have been. So in answer, I feel the black album has better production value. It's an extremely refined album. Heavy, yes. But not thrash metal like it's predecessors.
The black album had the best production in terms of clarity and tone very well balanced and easy to pick through the instruments not because it’s a slower but rather because of the sound quality.
I can't even begin to put into words the amount of respect and gratitude I feel towards the creator of this channel, and the channel itself. Incredible, honestly remarkable understanding of each Metallica album to pull this off - not to mention recording, performance, and production skill. Just top class. A true standout on TH-cam.

I remember reading Guitar World in disappointment in 1992 where Lars was interviewed during the Black Album Tour, saying he now preferred bouncier, simpler, Phil Rudd style of drumming and was no longer going to be playing complex time changes, just playing in 4/4 most of the time. I blamed Bob Rock too but Lars just...sucks. AndJusticeForAll was their last real album where they were still unique and true to themselves.

Is differently awesome! The rhythm is unique but still sounds like Battery, the harmony in the bridge is so cool. And the solo!! Is awesome, the slowed down tempo fits great! The only complain I got is that, in *my* opinion, Master of Puppets and Ride The Lighting vocals are really high and sharp to be equalized to the Black Album. I maintain that live vocals would fit if they could be isolated from the Live Sh*t: Binge & Purge.
if they ever did a re-mix and re-release of live shit you might get your wish. unfortunately as of now the best you have is a dvd that is a ported version of the concert from VHS with mono or only lightly stereo sound.
That Seattle ‘89 show is one of the best concerts I’ve ever watched on dvd. I think it’s their best live recorded show. (Save for the rarities with Cliff)

Clever - deleting and inserting an 8th note! The main riff’s off beat is changed to on the beat, but the --4 --6 0-0- at the end is preserved. This threw me off at first since I expected everything to be shifted. But I think it makes it way catchier. Awesome job!!
You're so in tune with the source material. Not only do you nail the tone but friggin compositions. Of all other channels that attempt the same fall short on both fronts. If you uploaded an orginal song (on a different channel) in the style of Metallica from any given album and marketed it as one of their long lost unreleased tracks, I'd totally fall for that shit.

Everything here is mixed perfectly, James voice is noticeably lower, the drums are more consistent, just like if it were on the black album. Great job dude

I'd buy them all because I've always wanted an updated playlist of Metallica's older tracks - which are obviously awesome but sound a little lacking in power due to the old technology, mixing, instruments etc - this sounds so good and I want mp3s. Ps gives us a Fade to Black remix if you haven't already done one - I'd love to hear a newer outro solo of that song. I always watch the "Cunning Stunts" version because that sounds so much better than the CD.

I would love to hear a version Sad But True on the Master of Puppets album. It is one of my favorite Metallica songs and I have always thought a 1985-86 era Metallica version of it would fit right in on Master, slotted in the slow, heavy-as-hell third track slot. Not that I dislike The Thing That Should Not Be or anything...but Sad But True does have the theme for Master of Puppets as well...addiction, insanity, not being in control, etc.
