    Definitely consider getting your A+ certification guys. Alot of employers start cracking hard on having it. You learn a lot of the stuff that was listed here in your A+ studies. Troubleshooting Hardware, Software, and basic Networks is the main goal.
    Printers was a big one that I saw on the exam itself.

    WOW! I just watched this and I know ALL of this already! You mean theres a good paying job out there waiting for me to do this simple stuff ?? LOL All my adult life ive been in customer service, making pennies, and doing this stuff at home for my own pcs etc and also fixing my friends and relatives pcs, printers, software!! but I never knew it was a real job called help desk. Now I got to get money so I can get certified so I can go back to work! I retired but I'm so bored and broke. THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO!!!

      A lot of jobs don’t until you get well-versed into cybersecurity or cloud (aws/azure).

    I know this is an older video, but for the website down segment, it could be the cache hasn't been cleared recently or the history needs to be cleared if it is backed up. That could be a solution to the problem.

      Help Desk is usually the first IT jobs people get. But from there you can start to look for something else.

    I hate users who cannot tell what they exactly need help with but still await help from us. For example our company is supporting Sap and we have a groups for that but they need to know exsctly which system is not working , since sap has many modules. User says :I dont know this why cant you just help" it is like going to the Restaurant and saying "hello I would like food" ok sir but what kind of food: "hmm I dont know it you are a waiter you should guess" 😀

      I hear ya. We have multiple Cisco brand applications, so when users ask for help they just say "my Cisco is not working"... which Cisco are you talking about? LOL

      Yep. I work in school IT support. Last school year during distance learning our IT dept. ran a help desk for students, parents, and teachers to call or come in and get support. I really despised doing phone support. Not that I don't want to help, but it is incredibly frustrating when they don't accurately describe the problem. Things like "I can't login". "What can't you login to? Your Chromebook, single sign-on? What?" "I don't know, I just can't login". 🤦🤦

      @@JJFlores197 It's like pulling teeth sometimes. Over chat support it can get really bad too. Like, I would ask them detailed questions and all I get back is one word answers (like yes, no, and etc). That would be the entire convo regardless of how many things I ask; and that is just to figure what may be the issue to begin with. :)

      @@Cobuman regarding chat, we have 20 seconds Sla and we have to pick up the chat fast, but when we start asking some additional questions to understand the problem, user answers after 10 min "oh sorry sorry I didnt have time to answer you: so my question is when you dont have time now why do you request the chat?

      Thanks bro. It's best to be honest and say that you are not sure or don't know; afterwards try to guess what the issue may be. Here is the thing; they appreciate honesty and if you say this is something you will learn because it's a good question. 😁

    On 16:30 when you say ‘enable accounts’, you mean the user account on their OS?

      Great question. Yes, that is correct; however, in a business environment the account is located in Active Directory. I have videos on that as well.

      Very good question. Help Desk is an entry level IT position which means that you can get hired without experience... You just have to demonstrate the knowledge and professionalism.
      That's how you get experience.

      Because if PC is turned off it cannot get updates. So, when user turns on the computer it suddenly starts updating and rebooting the computer.
