Hi Matt..... you say fit the cover and then rotate the rod outwards and the cover will lift off which proves the system works.....i did this but when i spun the lever back to line up with the cable lead, the lever does nothing?.....its all solid......Help please.
The Workshop I rotate the lever outwards and it locks the claw and the cover plate moves.....I rotate anti-clockwise to line the lever end with the clutch cable lead and the lever appears locked but no movement...it’s solid.
When i think about it, for the claw to engage with the cover on and the lever to rotate outwards, by rotating the lever anticlockwise into its normal working attitude, it would disengage the claw.....or am i missing something?
Hi loving these videos as I’m rebuilding a gpz500 myself, where do you buy your parts from? And the bolts
The parts are from Fowlers and are the OEM parts - The bolts, if you mean the black oxide stainless ones are from Accu-screw
Hi Matt. Did you have the engine spray black or did you do it I’m think I might get mine done powder coated.

So you can spin the lever all the way round and nothing happens?
