GBO2 Kshatriya: Was it buffed too much?!

- This video contains two recent matches I had with the Kshatriya on Gundam Battle Operation 2. It is a 700 cost support with insanely high burst damage, heavy stagger ability, great stun accumulation, high mobility, access to the same Resist Move skill as the Sazabi FF and a special buffer for the binders which cuts ranged damage in half and nullifies instant staggers. Its main weakness would be its gigantic size, which can make it vulnerable to stunlocks despite its defensive skills. Despite already being a good suit, the Kshatriya was recently buffed. These changes were wide reaching and included buffs to melee resistance, buffs to the utility binders buffer, buffs to mobility, buffs to overheat times, buffs to stagger accumulation and the addition of the Resist Move skill. I was able to get really high damage in both matches but I made some silly mistakes in the second game. I hope that you enjoy watching!
The primary ranged weapon of the Kshatriya is a beam gun with 2300 power, 3.5 seconds cooldown, 75% heat, 14 seconds overheat, 0.5 seconds swap, 500m range and 10% stagger value. This isn't anything too crazy but it is a long range instant stagger with solid heat and damage. It serves as an easy combo starter before going into harder hitting stuff.
Its primary melee weapon is a pair of beam sabers with 2800 power, 2.5 seconds cooldown, 0.77 seconds swap and 150% downswing modifier. This can do a lot of damage and has become more realistic to use after the melee resistance buff.
Its first sub weapon is a chest machine gun with 50x2 power, 80 ammo, 510 RPM, 13 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap, 300m range, 850 DPS and 3%x2 stagger value. This has good stagger value but isn't worth using that often.
Its second sub weapon is a quad chest beam cannon with 650x4 (1400x4x2) power, 75% (95%) heat, 1.5 seconds cooldown, 23 seconds overheat, 0.5 seconds swap, 500m (575m) range, 4 seconds focus time and 13%x4 (16%x4x2% stagger value. This does not instantly stagger but has high stun build and damage. This grants you huge burst damage potential if used after your stuns. The charged shot fire wide converging beams with absolutely gigantic damage potential, but is impractical to use in most situations.
Its third sub weapon is a binder beam gun with 1500x2 power, 100% heat, 20 seconds overheat, 0.5 seconds swap, 600m range and 3.5 seconds focus time. Though it needs to focus, this has high power and heavy staggers. This is your ideal combo starter because of how easy it is to start combos with a heavy stun.
Its fourth sub weapon is a set of continuous beam funnels with 1000x4x5 power, 100% heat, 22 seconds overheat, 0.77 seconds swap, 400m range and 25%x4x5 stun value. This weapon has the best damage potential of all your choices but needs to lock on. After firing it deploys four funnels in front of you which fire continuous piercing beams. Depending on the terrain or obstacles around you they can group up tighter together or further away, so it is a difficult to master weapon. It also has incredible stagger power.
Its fifth sub weapon is a set of follow funnels with 300x6 power, 50% heat, 0.8 seconds cooldown, 18 seconds overheat, 0.5 seconds swap, 300m range and 8%x6 stagger value. These are an amazing followup to staggers and can stagger if you overheat them or combo into them.
The Kshatriya has 26000 HP with 42 beam/ballistic defence and 20 melee defence. The recent buff has made it so that it no longer has the weakness of poor melee resistance, making you very bulky. This is further bolstered by a 15% leg buffer and 60% utility binders buffer. This binders buffer only works against ranged attacks but also blocks instant staggers and reduces stagger value taken by 40%. This makes you incredibly difficult to take out at midrange. You also have a chest i-Field while charging the chest beam cannon and LV1 Resist Move, which acts the same as a dodge roll other than not nullifying damage.
It also has 140 hover speed, 220 boosting speed, 75 thrust and 66 turning. This is pretty amazing mobility for a support, with it boosting as fast as the Hi-Nu Gundam. It has LV1 Forced Injectors as well.
Overall I feel like the Kshatriya is a little bit overtuned right now after these buffs. It is insanely durable in all regards if built properly and really hard to stun unless you can aim around the binders. The overheat time and stun accumulation buffs has severely reduced any issues it had with downtime to the point where walling out suits from getting close has become pretty trivial, even raids can have a hard time closing in at times. I think it has become the strongest 700 cost support, without any contest. If you have it then I can definitely recommend that you learn to use it, since it can be borderline oppressive on open enough maps. Thanks for watching, and I hope that you enjoyed it!

Let’s just get the facts where they should be. It wasn’t buffed enough. It needs way more funnels.
#kshatriya30funnels
I do feel that from a base design point it’s kinda weird she has so few. They kinda felt like the suits primary weapons in the show.
I've wanted this suit ever since getting into the game last year. Can't wait for it to get to the store ARGHHHH!!!
I'm of the camp that believes this thing was only bad because of NTD shutting off half of its kit. It kept getting buffed because the Unicorns (especially Banshee) devour thing thing in frightening haste.
Now that the unicorns aren't a "you have this or you lose" suit, the Kahatriya's only real predators are the Moon Gundam and Sinanju Stein. And Banshee I guess, but Banshee is seldom seen due to its poor range.
ezz also melt this one easily
I completely forgot about the EZZ, mainly because it's so seldom used in comparison to the Stein and [current banner suit]
I had a Kshatriya manage a 273,289 damage game in one of my lobbies yesterday where we also scored 30,868-4,349
So uh... maybe, lol.
@@x1username I'd argue a support suit being playable as basically a general is kinda an issue, not that I'd disagree with you on the other bits you said.
Most supports fit into two categories - either just behind the frontline providing stuns and damage to downed enemies, or way back providing sniper fire/leg breaks.
Kshatriya as it stands can basically either of those OR frontline/solo survive with not too much difficulty from what I've seen. While also being able to drop any general it catches by 70% with next to nothing they can do about it.
I love it and want the suit bad, but it's hard to say it's not overtuned currently, imo. Then again I'm not much of a 700 player, so what do I know lol
Before I used to avoid using this suit, but now that its buffed I'm having a lot more fun with it. This just feels so much better, whether it's overtuned or not
It's OP now, that's why it feels better to you. Because it's carrying you.😂
@@TheLurkerAtTheThreshold Sure sure...I guess having raids, with heavy attacks, that can kill a support in one attack, it is not op.
Or how about getting demolished by a Gallus in one combo.
Have you seen the Zee zulu with its wolverine claws?
Yeah, sure...this ms is "carrying" players...whatever you say...🙄🙄🙄
@@fenrir_Lokison9 700 raids like enhanced zz and banshee can just play through every stun attempt too hahaha. If there's a suit that deserves to be overtuned for a little while, it's the Kshatriya. It never got much of an opportunity to be great since the unicorn came out not long after and could demolish it as easily as any raid could.
@@blackarotthegreat8191 I agree.
I am just being a sarcastic A-hole with first response, talking about op and carries with a support, when we have one hit kill/one combo kill raids.
@@fenrir_Lokison9 I definitely agree with you. I've been using ff nu, and it's crazy how strong it is along with the other raids.
It was buffed too much. Just had a game vs that thing, Jesus Christ!
I genuinely think it got overtuned. Unless Nightingale is OMEGA cracked, Kshat is basically a gen now just as a support
Which I like.
Good. She's the most cracked non protag Ms in all of UC that is t a mobile armir
@@sangheilicommander1056the kshatria is quite the monster i will admit. But let's not get ahead of ourselves. Late UC is a different beast
@sangheilicommander1056 My bad. I should simply let lore dictate the power scaling of suits like Kshat being silly overtuned to the balance of the game.
Why not make ZZ the best suit of 650 then?
@x1username For one, they no longer can even with heavy attacks one shot native 700 supports
Two. That's their job. The Raid is to be able to push through, sometimes past all 4 or 3 suits that have type advantage on it and take out the support before the gens can stop it.
Kshatryia is overtuned now BECAUSE she has no weakness of support. She is as fast as a gen, has a dodge roll, no longer dies instantly to melee, and can actually RESIST heavy attacks now. She has the most ranged potential and is probably one of the most bulky, if not the most bulky in 700. She can legit solo RAIDs if given the chance. She even got buffers and weapons buffed LMAO
She was already #1 support before this buff and they make her into what is EFFECTIVELY a general with the support tag on it.
being able to use the stationary funnels and follow is a huge boost it needed honestly
so was the melee defense and its defensive mode being improved
given how huge a target it is everything it got it needed
even the fake dodge
The resist move and the 20 melee resist made it a whole lot better than what it was before
Wonder if the game will ever get repaired kshatriya
Probably will be considering it's equipped with the same design of missile funnels as the RX 104 and RX105 have. In terms of timeline it's almost decade before them.
Thanks avenger! Man i cant waif for this to come to pc!!!!
Khasy: Look at me. I'm the Nightingale now.
I so want to get my hands on this one, it's a suit I really love the design on. Naturally the desire sensor kicked in and so I don't have one. I can still agree with you that this seems a bit much.
cant wait to get this buff on steam, love me some oversized spider abomination with beams
I don't know about you but that the hi nu gundam ally puts the funnels on you, you feel a little more pressure, you know that the hi nu gundam trusts you and you want to make the most of it
maybe i see it that way lol
“Are you a new type”
I never wanted a one until now.
As a die hard Kshatriya fan, I have sortied with this suit 200 times before the buff. Now it feels like a completely different and improved beast. It has all the power from before, but the weakness to melee isn’t as limiting. And the dodge makes it feel so strong in mid range combat now. I find it able to get free from short combos and everything. I can’t wait to put another 200 sorties into this monster!
Im B- right now, got most of my score with the kshatrya pre buff so i csnt wait to try it now lol
It finally feels good to use
Man any 700 match’s is going to be “Oops all Nu Gundam”
Pretty sure enemy team lost cause too few NUs
Kshatriya with Hi-Nu funnel assist IS OP
Love the BGM, is it in game setting ?
Nope I added it myself in editing
It can dodge now? I really like the way you use this MS at its full potential!
NGL plenty of suits out there that need buffs, and they chose one that's already popular and wasn't weak to begin with. 4-star privileges i guess.
Yes, this is a salt post. Where are the HML Zeta buffs?
What do you think is the better 700 support right now, the FF Sazabi or this buffed Kshatriya?
Kshatriya definitely. It has no real weakness other than size and has lots of borderline overpowered aspects.
3:01 kyshatria casually taking hiNu funnels
Anybody know how to play with a duo partner
Looks like some good buffs. Now ... *points at large butt flap* give it a flap booster ..it`d be perfect then :-D
8:36
Uuuuuhh.... Did the Kshatrya just made a dodge roll now??
Yup
That is kinda horrifying honesty
@@JamesTheTurnbullI see the nerfs coming since supports can't be strong for long. I just pray they keep the melee armor and resist move "dodge roll"
Purple bell pepper pwnage
While rampaging with the ff Nu, I was curious why I kept seeing Kshatriyas and why they weren't instantly dying to melee like usual. It's sad the devs have to overtune suits, and then nerf them again, but if that's how it has to be, I sure hope they overtune the Tristan like crazy hahahahahaha
Tristan does need a buff. But a unit the size of a house not getting 3 shot by general melee isn't exactly "over tuned"
Nothing was as horrifying as seeing the kshatriya literally TAKE FUNNELS from other mobiles suits.
This thing is scary even when I'm playing a raid. I'd rather tangle with all the generals at 700 in my Shezzar Team Jesta than the Kshatriya
Also I think I saw you on my team in a space match with the GM Raid from that new bundle. It was a rather curbstomp affair
Ngl people gonna start calling for nerfs. The inee jerk reaction. God forbid a support can defend itself for once. I do think they added way more than what was needed. But the melee resist was needed. Its so large that it couldn't dodge a melee attack even if it would have been a miss. A small tip if a melee clips the tip if the binder and do a full 6k- damage
Its literally one of the beefy-est units in all of UC and still cant use its full kit. Like cloud funnels or melee sub arm beam sabers.
If they nerf it isc just please god forbid keep the melee armir and resist move
They broke the suit, expect nerf pronto
