When comparing the magic keyboard and the original one in MacBook laptops, this is a big difference.
After using the keyboard of Apple laptops, it is impossible to use the magic keyboard.
A particularly problem is the empty space above the arrows. It is impossible to work with touch typing, you constantly need to look, it is very uncomfortable!
I bought MX Keys keyboard after Magic
Thank you adam for the comprehensive video. I came in well informed but i was able to make up my mind with the details fo the video. The world needs comparison videos.
Thanks I've got more planned. I don't like to tell someone what they need to buy, I like to let people pick based on the features and cons.
Great Video. You answered every question I had and didn't waste anytime. Much appreciated. Great job!
I am here because I have just purchased my new Magic Keyboard and I must say, well worth my money because I absolutely love pairing it to my iPAD Air 2022
You can use an Apple Magic Keyboard on a Mac and iPad if you have Universal Control turned on by moving your cursor off screen to the iPad but that's dependent on having your Mac running I suppose. It's a bummer that there is no multi device support but I suppose Apple wants people to buy their ridiculously expensive magsafe keyboard for their iPads specifically.
Really well balanced review, well done!
How is the keyboard layout? Is the spacing between keys any different? I do have M1 Air, but MX keys mini also seems nice.
@@adamtalkstech Thank you for answer :) also a good video, it was nice to watch.
Wow didn't know for the black version, looks good
One problem I found with the mx keys mini is that I can't remap the fn key because it doesn't get recognized on macos
i would like to know 2 things please:
- which one has better bluetooth signal
- which one has faster response (ms) to play some competitive games on windows. I already have the apple keyboard and its good at this point
i dont know i am ejoying tying on apple magic keyboard i can typemuch faster on this keyboard then the mx keys mini and also more accurately i really dont know why is this hapening
i'm wondering if i have two macbooks: one with intel i5 processor (2019) and second one: with m2 pro chip, than will i be able to pair apple magic keyboard with those two computers? I've found in specification, that brand new apple magic keyboard is compatibile with mac books m1 and newer.
Yes you can go back and forth using the lightning cable, the one with touch ID just won't allow you to use touch ID on the 2019 I believe.
Has anyone put rubber feet on the magic keyboard to lift it a little? I would think it’ll help a bit on your wrist when typing. They don’t cost much at all
On my iPad pro the logitech keyboard often loses its pairing and repairing it once an hour makes using this infuriating
@@adamtalkstech I went and purchased the Apple keyboard, without touch ID and have never encountered this issue, not once…
what about the battery performance? how long the magic keyboard can be use until it's drop?
I’ve lost track of how many years I’ve had mine and it still works great.
okay, my magic keyboard stopped working and now I need to buy a new one, I love the comfort of unlocking my macbook with the touch ID from keyboard, I keep my laptop closed, if I get logitech keyboard, how can I unlock my macbook?
You just need to make sure that wake with bluetooth is allowed. Then you will type your password in.
Thank you for this comparison!
Apple Magic Keyboard with Touch ID does the id woks with ipad ?
please reply
Logitech mini keys.. all is black...where i can get in this color?
www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=logitech+mx+keys+mini+black&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8 B& H has it in all black right now
If you don’t have Touch ID, you can still use stored passwords….it doesn’t mean you have to manually type passwords, right? Am I missing something?
04:00 the more flat the keyboard is it's actually more comfortable for your wrist.
I’ve not found this to be the case for me but may just be personal preference.
The more flat the keyboard the more looks like cheap keyboard sold by Apple for 2x price rip-off ;)
thanks. appreciate the comparison
Which is better for iPad Pro?
Logitech if you’re going to use it with a mac as well and apple keyboard if you will only use it with the iPad.
I fint Magic keyboard much more pleasurable to type on. I have both.
i dont want to use bluetooth , can mx work as wired keyboard by not unplugging the cable?
edit:
nevermind / for the same price id rather get apple keyboard
Do I have your permission to watch this video free of charge?
I've been an apple fan boy for too long. This expanded into their accessories which are admittedly all garbage with the exception of the newer pencil for iPad. It was only in 2023 that i started playing with third party accessories. I was obsessed with having all peripherals match the same aesthetic. Now in 2024 i say "Fu%$ that". The MX Keys mini + MX Pro 3 are the best transition to better ergonomics, tactility and performance for us diehard applediots. Please give these a shot, within a week you'll un-see any magic in Apple's versions.
I know what you mean. I’ve switched over completely on the computer side
Logitech MX is much better, the only thing it missed is the Touch ID :(
True that. Sometimes I reach over to my laptop keyboard for touch ID!
Apple is 100 times better. Logitech is to plastic and that is that.
Crapple Magic is a piece of dysfunctional junk - absolute garbage - 3 this year new ALL GARBAGE
I have the mx keys mini, and I want to emphasize to anyone watching this, that being able to reprogram the buttons on top is insanely useful. When I was interning as a CS student last summer, I programmed the keys to execute different terminal commands, it was insanely useful!
Did you miss f1-f3?
@@adamtalkstech naaa lol, also if u need the keyboard has a way to let you use them, you need to activate the function row.
but you can control brightness in logi plus software
