- It was time to get out and do some wheeling and camping with good friends and we purposefully left our agenda open ended so we could explore without too many time and distance restrictions. Well it turned out to be an expedition none of us will soon forget. We kicked it off at the Trona Pinnacles, camped for the night an then set off to explore Death Valley. We had a full sized AEV RAM truck, my Jeep Gladiator with a Patriot Campers X2 Trailer, a Jeep Wrangler with a trailer, a Toyota Tacoma and a well build Jeep Wrangler rock crawler on this overland trip. 8:10, been doing this type of a burrito for years. Once I tell others to try it, they never go back to scrambled eggs. Nothing like yolk dripping out while you eat it. Great video! Can’t wait to take this trip. Oh yeah, thanks for the tip about the filler neck on the Tacoma.

I have been to the Pinnacles...it was a scheduled trip with my son only days after the Ridgecrest earthquake...which was centered in the Seales Lake bed in Trona. It was a sad sight...but the community of Trona was coming together. I shopped and played the tourist to help support the community. While at the Pinnacles, it was 109-deg. Too hot to hike or stay for too long as there is no shade until the sun goes down and you happen to park in the shadow of the setting sun behind one of the pinnacles. The access road was heavily wash-boarded, even aired down, take it slow.

Actually the stuffed peppers called ‘dolma’ and the recipe is originally from Armenia. It has beef and rice on it and you can make it not only with bell peppers but also wrap it into grapes leaves (my favorite), zucchini, eggplants, tomatoes and other veggies. I’ve never tried it baked on fire and after watching this video I definitely want to try it. Great video 👍

You guys are so lucky in the USA, you have the best landscape for this sort of adventure. It is impossible for me to get more than 100 yards from anyone in the UK
Uk here as well, do you 4x4? you should take a trip to strata florida in wales or salisbury plain
Lot of areas in the US like that too. You are probably as close to wild areas like Shetlands, Faeroe, Norway, Iceland, Greenland, Portugal etc. as some people are to the SW Deserts here.
Australia has some really good wheeling spots from what I’ve heard, so does Mexico and Canada, but the US has everything from dense forests and mountains in the east, mud bogs, deserts in the southwest, more mountains in the north west, you name it, we got it.

I am the owner of a teardrop manufacturer here in Grand Junction,Colorado and love seeing your success in towing the gear hauler trailers through all that rugged terrain. It inspires me to get out more and see more of our wild country. Loved the idea of traveling with a small group of various outfitted rigs. I subscribed to your channel and look forward to more!

Love The Trona Pinnacles area, I broke a front lower control arm (cheap aftermarket crap!) on that section with the volcanic rock field after you drop down from the Slate Range into Panamint Valley. Jury rigged it & got back to Trona for a tow home

@@AveragePatty Facing south during April and May the pre-dawn hours are best. From June to early August the best time is near midnight, though the Milky Way will be visible almost all night. From Mid August through September the best time is soon after the sun has set and the sky has grown dark

Hey Brad, awesome video as always. I'd be interested in your thoughts on how Marco's Smitty trailer held up compared to the Patriot. Looked like it held it's own and at a fraction of the cost.
His trailer held its own for sure, but I would upgrade it to an off-road hitch assembly and it's pretty bare bones, so lot's of custom work needed to bring it up to speed to be a chuck wagon kitchen.

Jason, I have the Scout Trailer and have taken it on the White Rim trail outside of Moab. It has held up very well as he have never had any issues with it. It a nice trailer for the price, being a fraction of the cost of a Patriot camper but it’s bare bones.

Barker Ranch always creeps me out. I could not sleep there, no way. I get the chills just walking around the place. We always visit Rock in Ballarat when we are in that area and was surprised you were so close and did not visit that ghost town.

Though many have told you, thanks so much for taking us along on your adventures. These videos are great sanity breaks and motivators for those of us who just can't get out and explore at present. Still a few years before I can start to enjoy retired life, but you have added so much to my bucket list of places to see in our great country...
