Boruto is often criticized for its large amounts of filler. But sometimes filler can be charming. One such time would be when Boruto went back in time and met his father as a child. There he got to know his father better and the things he went through. Boruto and Naruto became like friends, and due to the adversity of Urashiki Otsutsuki, these two grew closer and closer. But sadly, filler is filler, and it can’t last forever. They had to erase the memories of Naruto and Jiraiya as Sasuke and Boruto were preparing to return to their own time. But I can’t help but wonder what would have happened had Boruto and Sasuke not been able to return to the future. How could things have changed? Well, why don’t we just find out?

This is the most realistic Naruto what if scenario I've seen on this channel in a while.
The Sauske portion is ironic considered its implied that his plan was to return to Konoha after killing Itachi.
This arc was so important in the boruto story that it wasn't even in the manga.
The way how boruto got corrupted with all of what hes doing is just so accurate to what hed do because hes like that, i dont actually remember when that filler came in but it fits in right before the chunin exams because boruto at that time was like that
This came well after the chunin exams and right before the Mujina Bandits arc.
This did remind me of the Boruto from the movie yes but this arc takes place much later on from that
Oh alright then, either way this is top tier writing, the way everything plays out is just accurate, and adult Sasuke made sure to not get involved just to show Boruto the consequences of his actions
Yeah, it's interesting how the filler episodes can sometimes provide insights into the characters and their development. While filler episodes may not always align perfectly with the main story, they can still offer a deeper understanding of the characters' motivations and behaviors.

Wasn't this before the Kawaki arc? Wouldn't he not know about Momoshiki yet? Also, I'm pretty sure the mark is just the area of insertion. Momoshiki is literally rewriting Borutos DNA, so he's probably past the point of just removing his arm.

yeah, this was before the Kawaki arc, so he might not know about Momoshiki yet. And you're right, the mark is just the area of insertion, but Momoshiki's influence goes beyond that. It's a complex process of DNA rewriting.

I'm sure if Boruto Stayed in the past, things could have changed the Future. He could accidentally be suspicious by the Leaf ninja, like the Anbu and with his Similarity Features to Naruto like the whisker Mark's and if he Starts using Palm Attacks or displays it somehow, it can cause problems between him and The hyuga Clan.
I'd imagine if they were stuck in the past things would get pretty bad for the future timeline
Dude I was hoping that boruto and sasuke would return to the past after seeing the destroyed world and boruto would become the villain to put the world back on the right track.
Like he would find Zetsu and take Obitos place to gather the tailed beasts to start the war.

This story was interesting but it teaches us the same lesson about time travel that also happened in Life is Strange even you could change one or several thing in the past there would be negative consequences on what you could changing in the future
Also can you do a what if Ashura had the Sharingan he maybe won't get corrupted by hate and it would make up for his lack of skill

When I watch these I picture everything in my head and sometimes forget that it’s “what ifs”. That said, I like what the potential this story has but at 6:59 that completely took me out of the immersion as what Boruto said was completely out of character. Boruto *idolizes* Sasuke, he would have never abandoned him or even said “I don’t need him”.
What if Madara was a Hyuga and was still an incarnate of Indra and Hashirama was still an incarnate of Ashura. This would be an interesting story though I bet some stuff would need to be changed regarding Hagaromo and Hamura unless we just say Indra’s chakra somehow went into the Hyuga Madara.
Prolly need to make him half Hyuga and half Uchiha for it to work

At the end I expected it to be a ginjutsu of Saskue's showing Boruto what the consequences could be if they stayed. Only for him to end it and be right back at the beginning, then they would go off to find the other turtle, or to seclude themselves until time caught up to them.
Would work but they would age so sasuke would be about 50 and boruto would be the same as Naruto abt 31or 30. And according to time travel rules , thid would just happen again as time repeats it self

This is a good story here because even though Naruto does contradict ninja principles here and there at the very least during the current time on at the early stages his Son seem to have the right attitude as in terms of deception and getting the job done to succeed at any cost without being detected by the enemy and looming in the shadows

You know...This says a lot about the what if series as a whole. The Amagi might as well be the same as this Boruto, playing around with the butterfly affect, but this time The Amagi is simply playing around with timelines no matter the highs and the lows experienced out of sheer curiosity. I'd love to see the characters, having been repainted onto a different slate a hundred times or more, have their memories from previous What if's phase through into the next what if, causing them all to eventually take notice of the one behind the strings, The Amagi themself. And it turns into this massive conflict with the creator. And by saying this in the comments I might as well be preventing this very thing from happening.

This was an awesome what if scenario. I think it was very accurate to boruto character at the time and the apocalypse future is icing on the cake. the only thing think would be different is obito fate as he would he most likely would have use izanagi before he was killed off.
Since when was Boruto ever a megalomaniac who thought he was a god. It seems like Momoshiki rubbed off on this version of Boruto.
This what if becomes even more sadder when you realize Sasuke will die of old age which leaves boruto alone to regret his own decisions

9:50 It is a curious thing... Could also ask that question in regards to Dumbledores cursed hand, in HBP. If its isolated to the hand, why not just cut it off?
My best guess as to why they dont do that, is that these "Curses" have a bigger hold on the body, ala Mold on bread. You cant just cut off the visible mold and then have the bread be safe, because the mold has smaller, invisible to the human eye, threads throughout the bread, and you only see the surface.
...but yeah, if thats not a thing, why not just cut it off? As i understand it, thats literally why real life amputations sometimes happen, cut off the limb to prevent dangerous toxins that have build up there from returning to the body and doing damage. (Got that from the House MD Episode ´"Three stories")

To be honest I been debating on time travel and the butterfly effect within the Naruto universe for a while now. I often wonder what could truly happen to Naruto verse if Sasuke could save himself from walking the path of hatred and avenger route like no Uchiha massacre. Sasuke would have been a lot kinder and probably stronger recieving training from Itachi and could possible romance with Hinata like how Izumi and Itachi story is, but at the same time not like two side of a coin Sasuke could help Hinata by understanding her story and help tackle each other problem together while Itachi around that age push everyone away it was only Izumi determation that earn his love.
What about Naruto? Does he end alone then?.
@@toumabyakuya Hard to tell because Naruto and Hinata pairing was kinda force and one sided on Hinata part. If I were to guess Naruto could have ended up with Sakura on there on screen appearance they had great chemistry together. The only thing that ruined that was Kishimoto making Sakura incompetent on moving on from her obsession with Sasuke. She didn’t need to kill Sasuke rather a self-reflection on herself and how her obsession with Sasuke is self-destructive. There Naruto and Sakura could have discussion on what type of person Sakura wanted to be after all Naruto in canon is known to change heart and mind of people to better version of themselves.

The Uchiha massacre was the most important event that made Sasuke walk the path of a avenger. I seen a anime filler of what Sasuke was like before the massacre he was a lot kinder and caring person that was overshadowed by Itachi achievements. As for Sasuke and Hinata you can’t tell me that they didn’t have anything in common they are view as inferior to there better siblings, trying to prove their own worth in there father eyes and both clan are deeply rooted in tradition.

@@N-wo1ex dude as I explained before in my previous comment that it was base line of a what if idea not a flat out concret story from start to end. While its true naruto fixed her it's doesn't mean all alternate universe/timeline of naruto are the same like the pairing for example, I was throwing Sasuke and Hinata together as example to show a potiential romance he could've had if he didn't have hate in his heart and showing how different he is toward his older brother. Sasuke with no hate and a loving family is the closest thing we could see of what if Naruto is born as Uchiha or What if Minato and Kushina lived. I don't understand how you still thinking Sasuke who is kinder who never had his life stolen from him would be the same as canon timeline Sasuke it make zero sense.

Good video, but you forgot about Black zetsu (the literal architect of the entire Naruto timeline) I can see him manipulating Sasuke into doing the infinite tsukiomi. Ps you also forgot about jigan/ isshiki. If he becomes aware of boruto he may try and feed him to his 10 tail and make a chakra fruit.

it would have been exciting if it was Borushiki vs Momoshiki
dunno why, but them being able to go back and fix things made Boruto's redemption feel somewhat unearned.
what if when they went back to try and send their alt selves back to where they came from, the turtle simply no longer had the power to permanently stranding them and the others from ever returning.
forcing all four of the wayward travelers to group up and be forced to spectate the events, but the damage from the filler arc was already done, Naruto's training ends the events continued with the smallest of changes but that was all it took for the future to change.
Wary of interlopers Jiraiya's infiltration of Ame ends with him barely escaping, enough to deliver the message before slipping into a coma as Naruto goes to train for Sage mode. Nagato's attack is stalled longer before Naruto's return, more people are able to hold the battle's perimeter meaning Hinata failed her stunt, but Naruto manged to talk-no-jutsu Nagato to turning a new leaf (and with less dead, and Naruto volunteering a Chakra amp, successfully perform the resurrection with Nagato dying), with Jiraiya as intern Hokage at the summit (and Nagato as material witness, and Naruto as guard) the kages are more quickly brought to the table as Obito announces the 4th war.
Sasuke's party crashing results in a side tangent of everyone ganging up on Danzo, with after Sasuke being arrested for his actions before being sprung by Obito and press into battle against everyone else with hatred, as the war goes things are closely to canon, up until the remnants of Taka ressurrect Orochimaru to even the field when Madara starts going ham, all previous Hokage are brought forth before the 5 kages fall, Madara is beaten b4 becoming Jubidara effectively derailing the summoning of the Juubi and Kaguya as Zetsu is destroyed in his entirety by the combined might of 8 kages in the crossfire mistaken as a grunt Zetsu clone, Naruto joins mid way with after being redirected with itachi AND Nagato to rescue Anko, after Kabuto's defeat Naruto battles Sasuke where they escalate until intervention and mediation from the Sage of 6 Paths giving them the potential for 6-paths at a later date, Minato is able to confront Obito's reveal calmly without the fog of war, the war ends with the shinobi alliance shaky but holding,
But in the end is where the shakeup happens, the events of "the Last" don't happen to a T, with nearly 17 years and Hinata failing to connect to Naruto in any memorable way, they're hard locked as friendzoned when Toneri comes knocking more fighters are able to stop his advance Hanabi is never blinded by virtue of Hinata failing her hail-mary at the Hyuuga compund instead of calling Naruto out into the city, Hinata is never kidnapped (cuz guards), Naruto and Sasuke awaken the 6-paths powers and end Toneri at full power, Naruto never sees the genjutsu and thus isn't compelled to propose and instead joins in the festivities of Hinata's engagement to the Noble, effectively ending Boruto's connection as Hinata's son cuz in the after Naruto instead marries Hanabi (left field swing, huh) as his first meeting with Hanabi repeats Hinata's childhood event but Hanabi doesn't hold back and vocally pursues Naruto then and there, Sasuke married Karin after the war before his imprisonment to repent for his actions in shippuden, Sakura goes on to marry Lee. A retired Neji (another surprise! the would've been fatal hit instead crippled Neji ending his combat career but setting him up to become an instructor at the academy) settling down with Tenten.
the Otsutsuki's hold back and bide their time as the current setting is too united with too many high level people to contend with Naruto and Sasuke still have 6-paths allowing them to contend to with mild difficulty even with their haxs. the time travel loop ends having missed their mark as too many events have misaligned to let them happen.
both pairs of stranded Sasuke and Boruto grow old in isolation secretly interfering with the more dangerous Otsutsuki members until Boruto's kama seal destroys themselves with a double event getting stopped by their own self destruction.
Can you do a part 2 but with himawari coming to the past too😊
