- To celebrate their recent motorsport successes, Bentley have introduced a more focused version of the Continental GT, based on the twin-turbo V8 model now with 572hp, the GT3-R.
As a limited edition product, with only 300 examples being built, the GT3-R costs £237,500 list price and boasts a sportier set up with 2 seats, new carbon components and a bespoke livery.
Without initially understanding where the car would sit in the market, an opportunity to drive it clarified that, and with a thunderous soundtrack and sporty drive it's certainly something special!

Still dont get why Bentley just didn't develop an different supersports platform instead of turning an yacht into a speed boat

AL1-07 There's a new continental coming. It will be based on the 2017 Panamera underpinnings and is supposed to be much less of a bruiser and more of a beauty

best sound I heard so far, Its not super loud and noisy like something is about to come off like most other cars, It feels like a bing base sound being suppressed and I love it

The one thing no one really talks about with interior carbon trim pieces are that they scratch really easily, especially if it's a gloss finish, and place in a high wear area (like doorcards, handles,cubbyholes, etc).
Is the green stitching and trim the only option or are there more

Im not really sure Tim this is a car that's too worried of its weight and Price £235,000 pounds if your asking but I can easily see it in Dubai or Arabic status and driving it in the desert as a fun car were money is frankly no problem.
For a car to buy as a luxury Bentley sports r3 car its a styling triumph bold lines great sound you can drive this it's a very usable Bentley.

Big fan of the GT V8. I drove one round Silverstone and on the road at a Bentley driving day. I would rather buy a standard V8 and have it re mapped to produce close to 600PS. That would give me the fastest Bentley GT V8 and save me £50k in the process!
you'd have none of the weight savings though. which is where this car is most different from the continental

BlaZe iT They are definitely in a funny place, I've always been confused by that but it's so they don't interfere with the other stalks around the wheel
Shmee150 I think they should have made the stalks a little bit lower and then lower the paddels or even make them unstationary, I saw you trying to shift and miss the paddles a couple of times in this video. Ither than that, this is a very impressive car, and the sound is amazing!
BlaZe iT If you hold the steering wheel the way it's meant to be held especially during racing they doesn't look to be too high up, since it's a track focused car I guess that only makes sense.

Thomas Fisherman Obviously, I don't mean that you're holding your hands in the exact same position as a learner driver but when handling the car, you're not handling the car from the lower part of the steering wheel, you'll always go and stay around the top, if u know what I mean. now..

I know this car is huge, but why does it weigh so much? Other cars that are slightly smaller seem to weigh significantly less?
A big part in the weight is probably that massive engine!

I'm not, but if I were in the market for a Bentley, I would get a smooth, quiet, comfortable one. That is what the modern Bentley is known for. If I wanted a 300k sports car I would get the McLaren, a car built for the job. I find this car rather pointless.

The LoudAssasin Debatable. For everyday use at least. But you can't ignore the fact it was developed as a military vehicle first, and fair play to Mercedes for knowing they can turn a massive profit from them
The LoudAssasin I wouldn't say it's useless, the car does quite well off road especially the G500 4x4² but there are much cheaper options for off roading anyways.. i guess it is overpriced for the majority of us..

Is there a serious argument to get a car like this, over a normal Bentley GT? This car proves beyond all doubt that many off the people who have the money to buy a car like this don't have any clue about what they want in a vehicle. You can't sell a car like this to a car guy.

Personally I think it's a fake GT3 car for people who want to brag they have a GT3 car, but don't want a real GT3 car. The Porsche GT3 had racing seat belts and a full on roll cage. It would suck to own and drive around town, but that is supposed to be the point. I also wish they painted this car black. The black and the green stripes would make them pop a lot more and give it some more wow factor. It would match the interior also which looks very nice in black and green.

Sorry Tim, i still just don't like it... Its an Audi.. only made bigger and heavier.. and uglier... I wish i'd love it, because it IS special and it SOUNDS amazing, but idk who in their right mind would buy that brick-puzzle!? Its like the Lambos, when Audi took over and they had all Audi Switches and gagues in them... like wtf xD I see the Interior of that car and i see a Ricer-Audi.. to be the Mulsane, THATS A BENTLEY, all luxorious and whatnot, but i just cant find ANYTHING positive (but the sound) about this car... -.- SOL had more luck this week with the i8 im afraid! Sorry man^^ Can't wait for you to get the McLaren, finally a REAL car again :D not a wannabe confused "what am i" car ;P haha
Audi never took over making Lamborghini nor did they make the Bentley.Volkswagen makes Audi Porsche Bentley and Lamborghini and Bugatti.
