    I had no idea about this filter. Shame on me. Thank you very much for creating this helpful video!

    I I've started putting a strainer over the pump intake tube saves straining paint and keeps both manifold and gun filters alot cleaner .

      I normally clean my filters after every spray but this handpiece needs spanners so it only gets done once a week or when I get a clog up, then I change the filter.

    Hey mate, love your videos. I'm thinking of getting ozito 700w airless for my whole house 4 bed repaint. But also looking at investing into a graco x17 pro for better quality and for longer term. Would you say its worth the extra 1100 for the graco or just use the ozito as it's a once off sort of thing

    Very great video, if it still clogging up after replacement (and no damaged observed on the filter), can it be a too small tip?

  • @TheADRIANOVALENTINO

    THANKS FOR THE VIDEO..!!!!👍👍👍
    I was using the Ozito spray gun 3000psi, was going good for 8 drums of paint then the tip started clogging.
    Id reverse the tip then put it back in front again spray gun would spray for 2 seconds then stop and just mist out the paint. i primed the paint repeated the same process and its doing ther same thing.
    I tested it with water water is fine then the filter has to be the problemtheres pressure and suction so that can be the only problem. I will strain the paint but
    Il have to check the filter like you have just demonstrated.

      It has to be your filter, a very small hole that's probably hard to see.

    • @TheADRIANOVALENTINO

      Gregory...Your a top bloke.
      Guess what..!!!
      It was the filter but the mesh was loose which made sense, I couldnt see any suspicious holes but the mesh on both ends was not attached to the plastic tube which moves around and more than a big enough entry point to get in. This is obvously an OZITO filter which came with the 3000 psi Airless sprayer. The gun though i have to say is pretty freakin good for $330. I just went and got a new Guard, because their guard's hole was too big and loose for the tip. So I got a spare tip, good quality filters, swivel, 500mm, 1000mm extension poles. Ive been painting/handyman for over 10 years but havent really done much spraying work.
      The other mistake I made after putting the new shop filter from (AAspray ), it wasnt working again then I realised I put the bloody filter the other way around.. Hence why when you pressed the trigger nothing was comming out at all..🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

    • @ThePa1nterhowto

      Yes, depends on your gun but there are two filters in these guns,one that's larger, harder to find before the pump, but that realy only needs cleaning before storage or your gun is losing pressure. If your using smaller or brand new tips, even a new filter can bypass those smaller particles,so you need to go down a size to stop them, after your tip is a bit worn its not so important.

    Do you ever use flat tips in your guns? I really like the way they spray, but I have to use an inline cone filter because my Graco Silver Plus gun and ARO spray gun (looks the same) don't have a handle filter. If you have used flat tips what filters do you use and how do you clean a flat tip?

    • @ThePa1nterhowto
      @ThePa1nterhowto  ปีที่แล้ว

      Flat tip are a mystery for me, Id love to try them myself.

      Those tips are an absolutely terrible ….. mike has made them famous again but no they are pointless with hea tips availible and LP TIPS ….. so much of a process to make sure they don’t clog and to much of a process to unclog them …… I believe it’s like buying a product with a aux cord when their is the same one that is Bluetooth compatible….. don’t do it

    what kind size of filter you use on fflp208 tip 100mesh is enough or 150mesh ? or 200 mesh to match ?

    • @ThePa1nterhowto
      @ThePa1nterhowto  ปีที่แล้ว

      I would use a fine filter on a 208, that's red

    • @diyidea3031

      @ThePa1nter guy's All filters has size , but I see you don't even know what size 100 mesh, 150mesh , you know fine filter, what fine ? 100 mesh enough to be fine?

    That filter looks like its been dug in the mud for centuries 😅

    • @ThePa1nterhowto
      @ThePa1nterhowto  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes its due for a change, using red filters do clog up quicker because they are finer, than the yellow. Don't forget its just had 10 litres of qd oil undercoat through it, then another 10 litres of water based enamel. Just started to clog occasionally on the wagon wheels

    What if you don’t use a gun filter and it still happening

    • @ThePa1nterhowto
      @ThePa1nterhowto  ปีที่แล้ว

      Are you saying you don't have a filter,find out what size filter your supposed to be using on that particular tip and put one in. If it works well and then starts happening again, change the filter,these chines filters aren't so strong now and its possible you blew a hole. If you have no place for a filter,use a nylon stocking on your pickup pipe.

      @@ThePa1nterhowto the thing is I don’t use gun filters someone with 50 years experience told me you don’t need them they clog your tip more and I use no filter for 2 years notice I didn’t have enough lube in my Titian 440 and it was causing it to clog and I didn’t expect that but you do need a body filter but gun filters I don’t use them and it never gave me problem for not using it just wonder why a lot of painter don’t talk about what happen if you don’t put a filter on your gun maybe nobody knew about this .?

    • @ThePa1nterhowto
      @ThePa1nterhowto  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Realy? Are you using any fine or new tips? Have you removed the other filters in your gun also as they will take the majority of crap out.

    • @JONO3679
      @JONO3679 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ThePa1nterhowto I remove all filters I just sieve the paint instead. All filters do is clog up. Id recommend trying it.. you pretty much have to filter all paint these days anyway

    • @ThePa1nterhowto
      @ThePa1nterhowto  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JONO3679 Yes you will need to strain all your paint but even if you strain it, chances are your smaller or new tips will still clog. The purchased paint strainers that go over a drum of paint only go down to approx 60 mesh so just a bit lower than the white filter. I use a 100 mesh(yellow) for most of mine and red (200 mesh) for the 211 and smaller tips.
