An airless almost always spits irregardless of wear. I always start off the substrate and no problem. However, it's should be a well known fact that airless sprayers always spits, mainly because of the massive pressure and buildup of paint on the exterior of the tip. I've often just wiped the tip before each use but spraying off the substrate first should be airless 101!

Thanks Ali. I have an SG3 gun new this year (6-7 hours trigger time), an SG2 gun 5-6 hrs trigger time. How much use can I expect to get out of these guns before overhaul ? Do you have experience with titan RX guns? Reversible seat. Great video !

    • @alielhaouli7418

Approximately the same time as your pump, when you send your pump in for repacking get it done at the same time, the technician will be able to do a visual check of the needle and seat once it's opened. The Titan RX is an incredible gun, also the cheapest to own by far.

My brand new Graco contractor PC is also spitting. What I found is that after you stop spraying some paint accumulates at the opening of the tip. Next trigger put shoots that excess of paint as a few droplets. I don’t think it can be prevented short of wiping the tip after every trigger pull

    • @westsprayairless8763

Hi Ali, I have a Magnum spray gun that came along with my Graco X7. The handle has a housing that when removed conceals a spring and a steel ball. I'm trying to put the spring and steel ball back into the chamber but when I do the gun trigger is very loose and doesn't have that tight feel that it once had and it won't spray. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
