17 years ago, I did this process weekly, sometimes more. You would think I remembered the steps, Nope, so thanks very useful video, so liked and subscribed thanks bro ❤🙏😎👍
Question sir what do you do with the waste from the sprayer. I just want to know I am not the paint police. Asking because I just started painting but just diy
Today i got a X7 Graco Magnum sprayer at a yard sale. Dude sold me it for 50 bucks. Cheap huh but there is a catch. Dude didn't clean it after he last used it and now it has some dried paint all around it and inside it. So yeah that's why I am here. Trying to find out what the best easiest way to clean dried paint off a sprayer.
Great tutorial! Thank you! Do you guys recommend running mineral spirits through being the last thing you do when the sprayer is clean and then clear it all out. I have been hearing differences of opinion. My mechanic swears by it.
Not necessarily specific to cleaning the gun. But when applying paint, what type of mask and filter do you recommend? Is a P3 filter enough or do I need vapour to or is it paint dependant?
Yes, this can extend the life of your airless. I find that when doing a cost benefit analysis, I save more time and money just replace the pump when it finally does go bad. If you only use it as a diy every now and then, then It's worth it. I use mine everyday, so they never sit for long.
They make a soap special to airless sprayers to run through it. Supposed to soften and dissolve dried interior paint. Don't breath it .. very caustic stuff.

Mineral spirits. Try to get some in the pump and let it sit.

It's a good practice to wipe the hose and outside of the pump with it, as it keeps it flexible in good condition.
That was helpful. Thanks
Three buckets works ok but I recommend using the three sea shells

I normally use p100 in all situations, but a p95 respirator should suffice if you aren't spraying oil based products.
What do have wrapped around your pickup hose? Is that to prevent paint build up?
No, unfortunately thats years of paint build up!
What type of soap do you guys use to clean the sprayer?
You can use Dawn dish soap. Just make sure you rinse really good.
Is this the same procedure for oil based paints?
No. I use mineral spirits to clean out oil from airless.
Thank you, sir.
how hot is the hot water mate?
Just to where it doesn't burn your hand.
You forgot to put the pump armor so it won’t get the inside rusted it very important

I have dried paint in my paint gun and you don't show how to clean it.
How did u get it off? I have the same problem

You didn’t blow any clean water through the tips and twist it back and forth..unless you just rinse them out..
It's killing me, that I forgot to put that in there. But yeah, I always rinse the housing and tip, then run water through the tip.
Thanks for that.
Get to the point. Enough of storytelling.
