Tesla's share price is where it was 2 years ago. They have missed their numbers 4 quarters in a row. Their conference calls are like an 8 year old is doing them. Cybertrucks production is way behind schedule and they just laid off 10% of their workers.... But sure, let's give the guy who caused all that another 10% of the company....

@@jasonlucas2328 if your friend bought at 980 it was prior to the 3 for 1 split. So his price is adjusted to 317. That still has him down quite a bit if he hasnt bailed. If he is hanging in there all he needs to do is to be patient. Panic is what cost you.
Hey Elon, you really want to fix something? How about fixing what YOUR company, Tesla Solar, did and continues to do to my retired parents. They got solar panels from YOUR company only to find the majority of the credit wasn't going to them. It went to YOUR company! When my parents found out and confronted YOUR company, they were told, "You never told us not to." Now, they can't even remove YOUR companies panels. Even though they haven't been used in over 7 years. You need to fix this and until you do, I'm going to continue to call you out. The ball's in your court, Mr. Used-to-be-the-richest-man. Prove yourself worthy.

as a investor in tsla, why would you want the largest investor in the company to steal $56 billion from telsa? how does that help the smaller investor position and the company?

This is one of those rare opportunities for TSLA shareholders to vote in retrospect. Elon was at the helm during TSLAs meteoric rise in share price, but he (arguably) has failed to maintain that stock value. Disregarding the other issues outlined in the judge's decision to void his pay package, would TSLA shareholders still have voted in favor of this compensation package years ago considering the loss of value they are witnessing today?

$56 BILLION DOLLARS IS INSANE. The highest paid CEOs on the planet make $250 MILLION!
It is 100% performance based, the only CEO anyplace to do that. He got stock options for meeting very difficult targets and has not drawn a normal salary. If other CEO's did that, they would never be paid. Ask the Ford and GM CEO's to take that deal and see how fast they run for the door. The options he gets also cannot be sold for a minimum of 5 years so even after he meets the tartgets, he gets the options and can't convert them to $ for 5 years. So if he lets the company slip, his options are worth nothing. Nobody reports the truth about that contract, none of the money is guaranteed. Not a single dollar.

I hope for a yes vote. But I dont expect it. Most people dont seem to understand that all the requirements for the payout were met long ago. Even media claimed back then that the payout plan was impossible to achive. But Musk delivered. Now that the media bias has changed, it all of a sudden is "unfair". I as an investor knew very well about all the critics the judge mentioned. I mean cmon: Kimbal Musk, his brother, is one of the board members. How can the judge overvote 73% of investors. We all knew very well that the board had familiy members. The goals for the payout plan were very suprising for me back then, thinking they were waaay to harsh laying out those impossible goals.

Elon Musk needs to stop calling its current software FSD (Full Self Driving). FSD means a driver does not need to monitor the vehicle and intervene when necessary. Until that happens, this is false advertisement. Musk should also stop telling investors it is an "AI" company. Since over 80% of its revenue comes from the sale of vehicles, it is still an auto company. There's a difference between what you want to be and what you really are. As far as asking $56 billion in compensation, this is just insane. He has been the CEO of Tesla for about 15 years. That's about $4 billion per year he is asking. Only Tesla shareholders are crazy enough to approve it, because who can say 'no' to Jesus 2.0?

Elon's a genius engineer and innovator. Elon's a stunningly bad CEO. Every time he blabs on X, he alienates half of his potential customers, you know, the GREEN half...the half most likely to be interested in EV's.
