There is absolutely NO REASON to buy a PS5 Pro imo. We barely have any PlayStation exclusives as it is, and the PS5 hasn't even come close to its potential
for me it is: i want all my games to play at 60 fps and 1440p or 4k.....ff7 rebirth looks so bad as 60 fps was unplayable, dragons dogma 2 the same and so on.....60 fps is a must for many players these days
@DanPlayMore there's no reason why those games couldn't be set to 60fps though. There are games that look just as good if not better than both of those games that are set at 60fps. Especially Dragons Dogma.

I commented it elsewhere, but i think Sony'll throw out Concord on August 23rd, but announce the next Showcase/PS5 Pro that week, just to bury the negative news. Since Jim Ryan left, it seems like Sony want to go away from live service, so it wouldn't surprise me if they want to cut their losses with Concord and just release it so it's out of the way
I don't think they would have to burry the news as people will just not care either way. They still bought the studio tho and there is talent there, so I think they will give it a proper shot by delaying it... Helldivers 2 has shown them tho that it's smart for them to keep investing in the genre, because there is a lot of money there if they do it succesfully. Just don't make it your entire focus and don't forget what made your console the prefered platform to play to begin with (aka dont do a ps showcase with only live service reveals)

The pattern I see is too little focus--so no character or feature stands out for its WOW factor. Then also too little refinement in the last 10% of dev, where a game goes from medioce to excellent. I also agree, except for Suicide Squad, these game don't feel cynical as much as they feels trapped under a pile of commerical videogame tropes, norms and commercial necessities. Imagination weighted down so it feels more leaden than uplifting.

I can't see any reason why Sony would release a PS5 Pro. On the regular PS5 box it's written 8K and 120 FPS and we're yet to see any AAA game that's running at 8k/120fps on the PS5. Bad marketing, I guess (based on lies 🙂).
The amount of content you get for the money is amazing value. I maxed out my skills, gear and basically 95% of the locations. Love doing the river raids too. The open world in that game is amazing. Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla were awesome open world experiences. Can't wait till i get my hands on Shadows and immerse myself.

8 months into the year and I feel pretty disappointed at the releases this year to my personal taste. I totally get that won't be the same for everyone. Gives me a chance to play through some of my backlog and complete some games I guess. It's saving me a bunch of money!
