I'm honestly so glad to hear that ubisoft is FINALLY caving in. Not because I want them to fail, but because I miss playing really fun, and engaging games. The last ubisoft game that genuinely gripped me into its world, was Valhalla, which was 4 YEARS AGO.
I am not disappointed that we don’t get to play as Jinn in Ghost of Yōtei. It looks like the Ghost of series going the way that the Tales of series does. I’m good with that.
@dougr8646 its not that unreasonable to think that a woman could be skilled enough for it. We have films like kill bill and there's another japanese film that stars a female lead im sure inspired Ghost of Yotei. As long as she isn't brutally overpowering men and is using leverage and momentum to fight I think it's okay. Everyone always throws a big stink whenever there's a woman lead in a game but in movies it's permissible? Check out Brock Lesnar's daughter and let me know if you think she can't put you through a wall
Ubisoft sent me a survey recently. They asked questions about my perspective on Ubisoft, the types of games I tend to play. Specifically, they asked a lot of questions about a military open world shooter and basically what would convince me to get it. So they may be developing a new Ghost Recon game. Or perhaps a new IP.
I can’t believe we haven’t heard anything on Spider-Man 2 dlc yet..I’ve really been looking forward to some new content to dive back into that game..hope they give us some info soon!
If they made Avatar Frontiers of Pandora a third person game, in my opinion they would of made more money as more players would of enjoyed it in that perspective, as third person in my view just makes more sense then first person.
Outlaws did have character progression through blaster modules and upgrades. It wasn't a whole lot but personally I did felt like I was getting stronger with more upgrades and gear load bonuses. Not as in depth as other games for sure though.
Even though Ubisoft likely knew that Star Wars Outlaws had big issues monthsl before launch, there wasn't enough time for them to fix/change it. Same will be true for Assassin's Creed Shadows; a 3 month delay won't be enough time to fix/change the core game play as it's already set. The best they can do is tweak some things and smooth out the rough edges.
I personally won’t be playing the upcoming DLC for Avatar since the last one 100% broke my game and is completely unplayable, I can’t even get to the title screen (the game literally runs at 1FPS since the DLC released & they still haven’t fixed it to this day, no patches or updates and the team went 100% silent) so it’s seriously making me lose hope and trust for Ubisoft and I literally have been playing their games since the company’s beginning and was a true loyal fan, now I have no hope or trust for Ubisoft. Who’s to say that when Assassins Creed Shadow releases its first DLC that it won’t break my game 100% and make it completely unplayable and yet I’d still be waiting for months afterwards still waiting for them to fix it. They need to focus on earning everyone’s trust back and they definitely need to create a team that’s sole purpose is to fix all Ubisoft games and nothing else so that people won’t end up in the situation I’m in which is absurd and completely unacceptable and it’s not just me there’s a good amount of people that are stuck in the same boat as me and still can’t play or even get to the title screen for Avatar to this very day and yet they wonder why their most loyal of fans are bailing ship. (Btw I did get the $130 version and still waiting to be able to play The Great Games, can’t even play base game)
I've never played an Assassins Creed game in my life wondering if I should wait for the newest one and let that be my very first AC game, or try to go back and play some of the older games?🤔I do love the Horizon games and def will upgrade to the Remaster. Also I wonder when Resident Evil 9 will be revealed?
I love the Horizon games as well! I had a lot of fun playing AC from origins and later. The earlier games are more stealth heavy style and sometimes I just want to Spartan kick a dude off a cliff!!! 🤷🏻♂️
Ac is awesome. I loved after unity due to good graphics. But its the mythology and combat that i love. Odyssey was good fun, valhalla was brutal and very cool. Mirage i wasnt massive fan of. Shadows will be cool but long. I recommend starting with one of the others while you wait. Can pick any of these up for cheap at a second hand shop
Odyssey is a phenomenal game, and Shadows looks like it might end up being the best in the series. It's up to you if you want to play through Odyssey first or not.

I read recently a beginners guide to AC, and in it they had some suggestions on were a first time AC player should start, and they said the Ezio trilogy or Ezio Collection is a good starting point, so I think I'll start there, and then slowly work my way up through all the games😊

Not sure why sucker punch would be obligated to “let us know” about a new protagonist earlier. They just “let us know” a year before the new game comes out. Isn’t that in fact, letting us know? I don’t see the issue 🤷🏻♀️
They ofc don't owe us anything and have all the rights to do what they want, but I think if you would've asked everyone most people would've obviously thought this was going to continiue Jin his journey & follow the same sequel model as the other PlayStation Studio games. I am not saying what they are doing is bad, just that I would've loved to know that their idea for this franchise was jumping time periods with different characters something they knew quickly after Ghost 1 released just to set expectations.

It's because it doesn't do anything that stands out and follows the same ubisoft open world formula; these kinds of games tend to get negative reception even if they're fun for what they are and people only want to spend their money on the 10/10 games, so being average really is a detriment, especially with the price hike of current gen games and the struggling economies around the world.
We need more Chinese stories. Glad there are many more Chinese stories besides Wukong coming soon like Where Winds Meet, Phantom Blade 0, The Perceiver etc
Not mad that they move on from Jin, the story was told and to be honest if u asked me top 3 things about ghost of tsushima the protagonist will not be among them. Not saying he was bad but nothing to special and if this helps them write a new deep story im all for it
Man I just hope we get another legends type mode in the new ghost game. I spent so many hours in it after the main game and platinum that. Legends was one of the most fun add ons I have ever played in a game.
I like that idea of Ghost being an anthology series. I think it gives the franchise more legs long-term. I do hope we get either a DLC or a Miles Morales style shorter game with Jin. I do think that his storyline wrapped up in a satisfying way so I don’t need another 30+ hours with that character. Tho **SPOILER** it would be nice to revisit the character and see how he handled the fallout of being stripped from Samurai status.
I'm hoping we'll as least get a Character Model or Skin of Jin to use for Ghost of Yotei. I'm sure they'll do a new version of GoTLegends even better than before.
After seeing the trailer for Hell Is Us and then watching the video PlayStation dropped on their TH-cam channel earlier today, I am very intrigued. I really like everything I am seeing and hearing from Hell Is Us. If you're interested in the game go watch the 15 min video PlayStation dropped about it. It definitely piqued my interest.

Horizon Remaster definitely has the prettiest version of "Aloy just saying. I have the "Horizon complete Edition so I will be picking up the Remastered version.

It doesn’t matter what these companies do. Some will love things, some will hate the very same things. The reality is, they just can’t please all. All they can do is make sure what they do is made with quality and pride.

Outlaws is an amazing game! The characters, missions, side quests, everything is great! I don’t understand the hate. Yes you do progress as a character as you level up your skills, what are you on about? Frontiers of Pandora is a very good game but it needs more love from the devs. Outlaws is much better.

What happened with Star Wars outlaws is that they thought since is Star Wars it would just sell itself and that’s just not enough anymore specially rn where Star Wars is not as popular as it was you actually have to make a good game
Thing is, star wars was the wake up call but at that point Shadows is basically complete. They'd have to overall the same janky floaty gameplay the recent games had to win back any praise for gameplay
If Ubisoft tries to force an "always online" requirement for the next Ghost Recon game, I'm out. It's bad enough that their games are over monetized, "same-y", uninspired, repetitive, and overall boring. Hopefully they're finally gonna learn their lessons so I can start buying their games again
I stopped playing assassin's Creed after Origins when the platinum trophy was bugged and I would have had to replay the entire game to get it to drop. And even though other developers can fix that problem and have before, Ubisoft just didn't bother. Plus Odyssey and Valhalla had terrible character animations especially the running animation which you do for 90% of the game looked weird and unnatural. I think it was the arms that made it look the worst but the gate of each stride was strange looking.

I enjoyed 3/4 of the last Assassin's Creed games (Valhalla was a mess) and all the Farcry titles. I'd say Ubisoft's mistake was partnering with Massive Entertainment. Avatar was disappointing for me. Beautiful world but the gameplay wasn't good. Reviews for Outlaws indicated the same and that's why I haven't bought it. Ubisoft needs to get out of that partnership and develop these titles themselves.

What happened with Star Wars outlaws is that they thought since is Star Wars it would just sell itself and that’s just not enough anymore specially rn where Star Wars is not as popular as it was you actually have to make a good game

Thing is, star wars was the wake up call but at that point Shadows is basically complete. They'd have to overall the same janky floaty gameplay the recent games had to win back any praise for gameplay

If Ubisoft tries to force an "always online" requirement for the next Ghost Recon game, I'm out. It's bad enough that their games are over monetized, "same-y", uninspired, repetitive, and overall boring. Hopefully they're finally gonna learn their lessons so I can start buying their games again
Reviewers at the time of launch buried Days Gone. Then everyone is wondering why there was no sequel. But now it's the best thing. Yes I completed it.

I stopped playing assassin's Creed after Origins when the platinum trophy was bugged and I would have had to replay the entire game to get it to drop. And even though other developers can fix that problem and have before, Ubisoft just didn't bother. Plus Odyssey and Valhalla had terrible character animations especially the running animation which you do for 90% of the game looked weird and unnatural. I think it was the arms that made it look the worst but the gate of each stride was strange looking.

I enjoyed 3/4 of the last Assassin's Creed games (Valhalla was a mess) and all the Farcry titles. I'd say Ubisoft's mistake was partnering with Massive Entertainment. Avatar was disappointing for me. Beautiful world but the gameplay wasn't good. Reviews for Outlaws indicated the same and that's why I haven't bought it. Ubisoft needs to get out of that partnership and develop these titles themselves.
Bummed about the AC delay but it will be for the best. 2025 is so beyond stacked. Play thru BG3 and Astros Playroom til then!
Yeah same, would've loved to play it in November. But if it's more polished it's going to be worth it.

Ubisoft should just not utilize Sweet Baby Inc AT ALL and their games will stand a good chance of success. Like AC and FC - go back to original methods of what made AC and FC 1-4 (of both) phenomenal games.
The good news is if they want to keep there investors and make money off of games then they will change gamers have had enough

Ubisoft's backpaddling and it's been needing to do that for a long time now. Everyone's tired of their scams that they do with their games. And all the other poop they be doing. They can't get away with it anymore. And EVERYONE's learning that lesson now thankfully.
The good news for Ubisoft is if they like money they will change but hey mabey they don’t care about there historic franchise Assassins creed anymore

When I buy a game on Steam I want it to launch from Steam and not have to create another account for an extra launcher.
