Unlikely you'll see this, Gabriel, but I wanted to thank you for helping me get through one of the toughest parts of my life, when my mom and I were living out of our van. We came across a copy of Aloha Fluffy at a secondhand shop, and we bought it partly for the CD that came with it. Your jokes and stories made this part of my life better.

I LOVE Cook-Out because you can make basically any flavor shake you want, it's amazing! I ordered a strawberry cheesecake milkshake for the first time a long time ago, and at Cook-Out they put a whole-ass slice of cheesecake into the blender! My reaction to seeing that was much like Fluffy's reaction to the chocolate cake, lmao.

I went to a Portillos in Central Florida and tried some of the items he mentioned. I loved their chili dogs (though I wish they were bigger), and the famous Chocolate Cake Shake. He ain't joking about the straws. Those suckers are HUGE! You can feel the cake as soon it hits your tongue and teeth. I didn't get the large though. Good thing too. My mom and I shared a medium and we just barely finished it. I can only imagine what a large would have done to us. But it's definitely worth it. 👍

I haven’t dared to try one of those shakes yet. I’m afraid of what my trainer will make me do if he were to ever find out I had one. The chocolate cake there is just sinful, but the strawberry shortcake is also fabulous. It’s so dangerous for me to have Portillo’s so close. 😆

I believe there are 2 Portillo locations outside of Illinois, and one of them happens to be right by where I live in california. Interestingly, theirs a small local Chicago hot restaurant also nearby, leading to many discussions of who has the better Chicago dog of the two spots.
From Seattle but ordered it while in Tempe, AZ last year… absolutely INSANE shake, somehow not too sweet but plenty rich. Also the Italian beef sandwich was 🤑

I have had the shake version 2xs and I think both times they over blended it.....because I wasn't getting no cake and frosting. I was more like trying to drink a whole cup of cake batter. Which, at least to me, wasn't good. So I don't think it's worth it to do it that way........not to say I don't ever get the shake while there......and by some cake for later. The closest one is well over a hour away, and we only get to the town once a month. We have other restaurants we like that are only there too, so everyone has to take turns. Thus when we go to Portillo's, we go a little crazy. We drink a shake on the drive home.
