i wonder if the italians perfected growing and cooking tomatoes or maybe its because of their soil. cuz to this day, they say the best tomoatos/pizza sauce comes from italy. maybe naples? i forget, its italy nonetheless. edit: btw that thought process had led people to believe tomatoes originated in italy. not being sarcastic when i say, thanks for the history lesson.

I also loved all the vegan chicharron brands from Phillipines I think pancit palabok is one of my fave Filipino dishes. I also love buko pandan flavor in a creamy milky drink maybe frozen and blended or the buko pandan jelly that most canned brands make with agar agar. Ya Filipinos done me right. I also honestly think that the Filipino longaniza is the best extension of Spanish longaniza that exists in this Earth but I like a little sweetness and umami, some people do not enjoy especially the sweetness. Some people are also just stubborn and won’t admit it is their favorite if it’s not from where they’re from or what nationality or whatever. @@jjs333 Takis are bad for your stomach and is recommended not to eat too much, but I am Mexican so as long as it taste good I’ll keep eating it lol
Ive tried both on my channel in my taste testing videos are TAKIS are way better !!!
I eat both.
I love Gabriel I watched almost all his shows and they always have me dying
All these snacks makes me miss my uncle alot, him and my aunt live miles away now and I've got to visit them soon!!
Man, some of those snacks bring back *memories* ! I would hang out with my cousins, sitting at a street corner, throwing fireworks, and snacking on these bad boys. Good times!
Wish we got these in canada so I could taste test them on my channel. The only one I have tried on my channel is TAKIS and those just rock !!!!
@@FoodTastertv Takis are great! You can't go wrong with fuego!
Honestly, I think it would be great to one day try poutine, real maple syrup, Canadian bacon, bagged milk, and ketchup chips from Canada. It would be a fun food adventure for my tastebuds.
@@RosieBabyCheeks LOL bagged milk is only in the province of Ontario , ketchup chips from LAYS are delicious !!! Poutine can be amazing if done right and im NOT a fan of maple syrup But I did try maple cookies on my channel and apparently I like those a lot LOL . Im glad I decided to do taste testing videos on my channel cause honestly its like fun adventure for the taste buds !!
@@FoodTastertv You know, bagged milk being in Ontario makes sense, since my friends who told me about it lived in Ontario at the time. Although, I'm kind of surprised to hear they are only sold there.
I did hear that Lays ketchup chips were really good. Coincidentally, in Mexico there are chips called Sabritas de adobadas, which are potato chips with tomato and a chile that isn't really spicy. I wonder if they taste similarly to Lays ketchup chips?
I'll have to check out you video on maple cookies then. I'm curious if there is something in the ingredients that makes you like the cookies more or if there is a difference type of maple syrup adding into the recipe?
Taste testing videos are fun to watch, especially if it involves food I'm nostalgic for or it involves a challenge in some way. I wish you luck in your food journey!
It's awesome seeing some Mexican snacks being showed to everyone through TH-cam. Underrated and amazing snacks.
I would love to see this series turn into a hot ones style while the guests are being interviewed about their favorite snacks!
That would be soo enjoyable
A series where everyone has to try a bunch of Mexican snacks. 🌶🥜🍮🥭
My uncle gave me a box of Duvalín when he went to visit his family. I loved them so much and your right nothing I've found tastes like these!!
You can tell right away that this guy is a comedian, he's so funny 🤣🤣
No *Lucas* ?
I thought they were hella famous , legendary.
Barely touched the surface on Mexican candy , I should know, I grew up in the hood , in the 90s.
They don’t make the Original Lucus powder anymore, just the baby lucus.
The blue cap ones are bomb...Mango Flavor
Ugh how i miss the original Lucas. Dip my hot Cheetos in them all day.
Damn grew up on that. Also Chaka chakas, Dedos. Or the watermelon rebanaditas
I used to love Lucas as a kid, but they stopped making it because it was found to contain a lot of lead. So no more Lucas, if you find some I wouldn't advise eating it lol
I'm really enjoying this series. It fun to hear the memories and stories associated with the snacks.
Made me wish all those snacks were available in Canada so I could taste test them on my channel. The only one we get here in regular stores is the TAKIS FUEGO and I LOVED it when I tried it on my channel !!!!!
GABRIEEEEEEEEL!
Literally still one of my all time favorite entertainers ever! Gold as a comedian; but he’s just all around entertaining! Which is hard to pull off.
Gabriel/Fluffy is so cool and humble. I bet he can make anyone laugh. Takis and the cake things I've seen sold here in the ghetto areas of NYC but only in the little Bodega joints not like shop-rite or something lol
TAKIS are amazing Ive tried them on my channel and I wish we got the peanuts snacks for me to taste test !!!!
I saw Takis in shoprite in Yonkers and also NJ most stores had them
@@FoodTastertv yeah theyre good just hard. I have to be careful I don't chip a tooth on some foods haha but yeah they're good.
@@everybodyclapyourhands4742 Cool. Sadly the ones in my local are dont have them, I think I saw them once in a stop & shop. But haven't seen them in a while.
Fun fact: Tomatoes originated in Mexico. When the Spanish conquered Mexico in the 16th century, they discovered that Aztecs used tomatoes in their cooking. The conquerors then brought tomato plants back to Europe.
They also used to taste like shit and be tiny
Thank God for imperialism
Thank you for this information
i wonder if the italians perfected growing and cooking tomatoes or maybe its because of their soil. cuz to this day, they say the best tomoatos/pizza sauce comes from italy. maybe naples? i forget, its italy nonetheless.
edit: btw that thought process had led people to believe tomatoes originated in italy. not being sarcastic when i say, thanks for the history lesson.
@@vipset87 tradition makes things taste better
Gabriel is funny no matter what show he’s on 😂😂😂😂😂
Duvalin in the fridge for 1 hour. Best thing ever. Gabriel killed it with his choices. I grew up on this same things.
My only complaint about this video is it’s not long enough. Love it!
There's a mexican saying that tells " baby imagine how I'm gonna treat you if I'm careful enough to not break the mazapán when i unwrap it "!
Can we get one on just Mexican candy, they have so many good candies over there, I freaking love them
I trust Gabriel when he says something tastes good.
I swear to God that Takis has two factories where they're made because some of the packs are too salty and not spicy enoug hand others are perfectly spicy
or just how they’re feeling that day
Ong
I have to get them at a mexicana because they're only spicy their
THANK YOU, some would be filled with powder and just really good to eat and spicy, and then there’s those fucking bags that taste kinda burnt each bite and looks like it got the powder licked off each taki.
Some come from Mexico and others from texas. That might be why.
Duvalin. We have here in El Salvador Nucita which is the same creamy chocolate and vanilla but they add a strawberry creamy flavor so it's three flavors in one.
Then we have Boquitas Diana and Boquitas BocaDeli which is pretty much the standard for all snacks.
Takis Fuego! I love them along with Taqueritos Chile Toreado which tastes like Takis fuego but a step down in spicy. Greetings from El Salvador Central America.
We have Nucita in México too! And my opinion may be unpopular but Nucita is better than Duvalin! (or at least it was when I was little lol)
Yea we also have nucita with the little dinosaur in mexico lol i always felt they were the cheaper version but like you said they had the 3 flavors so made them better specially at piñatas lol
We Mexicans also have duvalines with strawberry. We have different combinations of the three flavors (not mixed). So here they just happened to get the one with vanilla and chocolate only.
@@hehheh1204 Am I crazy or at some point in the 90s there were Duvalines with only one flavor??
@@Wallllllly I am embarrassed to say this, but I did not grow up in the 90s...I was born in 00 :(
Gracias mi hermano por tu gran trabajo que haz hecho por la cultura, eres un orgullo para la raza.
Popular Opinion: Every single one of ya'll agreed that Iglesias side-chick made our Day:
every single youtube video has a comment like this. it's like moron-level madlibs
“You can taste the sugar..believe me I’m diabetic I know” 💀
Mexican snacks bring back fun memories. They are the best!
we have a version of Mazapan here in the Philippines called POLVORON. 😁😁😁 but we also have a masapan delicacy wjich is made out sugar, butter, egg yolks, ground pili nuts that is baked like macaroons...
we also have masapan de buk which mainly uses cocnut meat...
I used to get a deep fried peanut brand from some international grocery stores in South Seattle that was Filipino and it was good as the Mexican Japanese peanuts for sure. I also really enjoy Filipino spaghetti sauce for the same reason of enjoying the sweetness of it. Very delicious cooking and snacks from the Phillipines.
I wish I had both the Mexican and the Filipino versions of the snack to try and taste test on my channel !!!
@@FoodTastertv, my grandma was Mexican, and my grandpa was Pinoy, but we never had snacks from either place. Grandpa just liked to eat his fish and bittermelon (barf).
@@Supervillain725 Im sorry to hear that !! I have tried TAKIS on my channel and loved it !!!
@@FoodTastertv I LOVE Takis. Have you tried the blue ones?
I feel like he's dropped enough weight to fall out of the Fluffy Category! Good job Gabriel!!!
Fr I think he's in the husky category
He's always gonna be fluffy to us. I think it was more of a nickname then a weight thing
Meh he still pretty fluffy lol
Pretty soon it'll have to be Fluffy-lite.
@@bhkearns he was a hot Cheetos puff for a while now he just a normal corn puff Cheeto but who knows we might see him as a fry one day
02:37 I absolutely LOVE that Tapatío label - both hot and fluffy!😆We love you Fluffy!
Man.. Gabriel is just good vibes 😎
Lol he just scratched 0.1% of Mexican candy and snack world, trust me when I say this there are lots of things that you need to go to a Mexican store to get and even then you won’t find everything. God I love going to Mexican store to get me that nostalgia.
It’s beautiful how food can bring all of us together, different opinions, different tastes but nobody here has been disrespectful.
This vid was on-point. Well done.
¿Y los Gansitos? Damn, Gabriel left out the biggest one
Eating a gansito right now!
Mamut, buba lubu
You did not miss a single beat these are all childhood classics for me
Damn I know it's hard to bring Fluffy on this show but you have to do it every chance you get. He brings so much life into this show and I love watching him. Thank you for making him recurring!
I love that guy feeling of enjoyment when eating those snacks
I’m not Mexican but I’ve had the first one in the U.S. Granted, it was at Mexican supermarkets, but you can find it. I used to eat it all the time when I was a kid. It’s soooo good.
I grew up eating all these and still eat them 🔥
I used to eat mazapan so much as a kid that now I can’t even bear the smell of it
Makes sense because one day I ate like half a pack and now I don’t like it.
Me too
I still love it lol
Plot twist: you're allergic to peanuts
his is how i am with m&m's. i hardly eat mazapanes tho cuz my mom always takes them and eats them.
3:03 ..I was born an raised in SoCal ,grew up in the LB & I have to say I have always always wondered how they taste an what they were but never tried them because they always looked expired an dry 😩😂 glad I know how they taste now 😁
Living in East LA, everyone's eating this stuff, and it's amazing. Takis with Nacho Cheese is where it's AT!
Takis with salsa is the proper way.
Fluffy is such an enjoyable guy!
Another great episode, not disappointed!! Loving the Pringles cannot wait to buy them too!
Never a big fan on mazapanes the texture just didn’t do it for me but them Duvalins trisabor are the bomb

Try the chocolate covered ones
If you haven't already tried it, throw in one mazapan in your cup of dark coffee. So good! Warning: you will get a bunch of small little pieces of peanuts at the end.
oh man, i gotta try that
🤯
What! Trying that today
Already tried it with hot chocolate with the marshmallows!! Too legit 2 NOT try it!!! I'm not the coffee person, so that fine cup of divinity......those years ago........S.I.G.H.!!!!😋🥰👊🏾
