- We are in Rovaniemi, Finland, and in this vlog we sleep in a glass igloo to see the Northern lights! We also try some new Finnish cuisine for the first time and do the age-old Finnish tradition of rolling in the snow between sauna sessions!

The rice pie(Karelian pie) needs to be warm and you put egg butter on it, Mushed hard boiled eggs mixed with soft butter and a pinch of salt.
Cold is ok too, but egg butter is a must.
Egg butter is must have !!
You put ham and cheese, or liver pate or garlic cream cheese or whatever on those. Don't think I've seen many people eat them "raw", other than foreigners.
Noted! Next time we’ll try to do it the proper method. Still good though even without anything on top lol

Even that snow was the wrong kind. Needs to be colder, then it becomes less dense and more dry and it doesn't form clumps like this snow did.
But in the end you get to feel the change in temperature going from snow to sauna so I don't think it really matters that much.
Oh wow! So interesting how particular the snow had to be haha. Classic. Maybe next time we’re in Finland we’ll finally do it right.

I don't think it really matters that much, it'll feel cold regardless, just a bit different with the softer powdery snow.

Great! You were lucky because the clouds disappeared in the night and you saw the northern lights! That glass igloo place is nice. I haven't been there because I use my campervan on homeland travel. There is a caravan park behind the gas station just on the opposite side of the main road next to Santa's village. There I have stayed.

I felt so good! It was amazing. Made some great friends too haha. Saunas are an excellent place to meet people. Do you have your own sauna 🤔🥰
