- I bought some "Bose QC20i" headphone a few weeks ago and found out through a Bose outlet that the headphones were fakes! I bought some real ones so that I could compare and help everyone see the major and minor differences between the two. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching!

Jordan, Thank god i found this video cos i was beginning to go crazy about a pair i recently bought. Yes, someone sold me the counterfeit model. I am ashamed that i was foolish enough to buy them. But just like you said, they are almost identical. Only someone who saw the original pair can compare. Or one has to go through the die cast or the ear buds themselves. Thanks for this video. I am surprised Bose does not broadcast this video or one of their own to warn people of bogus sales for the fake ones. I lost $120 but at least i did not lose my hope in Bose. I currently have IE2 and wanted to upgrade to these. The fake QC20i sounded like a piece of crap and for a second i was convinced it was a bad product. Thank god i saw your video.

Ebay is full of fake electronics such these earbuds, the sellers work on volume that is if you complain about item being fake they refund your money why ? because they don't want to get kicked off Ebay, and if you did not find out it is fake they got a sell. This is specially true with SD memory card where 8G's marked as 64G , and you never know until you go above of 8G memory use. it is good idea to not buy electronics from ebay. I too have a genuine Bose QC 20i, and ordered another from Hong Kong for $85 delivered. It cam in four days via DHL. I'm so bummed the new one is a counterfeit! My test for nnoise cancellation will be when riding my R1200GS motorcycle. The real Boses are better than any earplugs or sound-deadening helmet. I'll post my results; thanks for making this video!

+daniel Noise Cancelling is very different. From what I've found the fakes sound like they muffle the music to make it sound like they are cancelling noise but they really aren't. Sound quality isn't even close. The originals sound amazing and the fakes sound like $5 earbuds....

So I bought some Bose Qc 20i on Offerup the other day... they do exactly what you said they pop when you turn on the noise canceling... and sometimes start to pop for 5 minutes straight Idk if they are fake or real... my question is if the original bose Crack or pop when you turn the Bluetooth on?
These headphones don't have bluetooth. DUH!
What about sound quality ? I know you talked more physical but I would like to know the difference in sound

Thanks for the review - i think people who are willing to pay a cheaper price for a clone are not as concerned about the cosmetic features and are more concerned with the noise-canceling abilities --- bottom line we want to know is whether the clone's discounted price worth it or not?

@@AhmedZack How does that work? I registered mine and it said it's real but the noise cancelling doesn't sound real. The headset feels and looks real tho.

sheet, i just received a counterfeit pair.
I've order on-line and it just arrived. and I had to pay import taxes.
As soon as I look at them they felt fake, but i needed to be sure.
I've had 3 other legitimate pairs of it, 6 or so years ago. the original ones are great.
Im gonna try for a refund, but IDK about the import taxes.
Had some jerk sell me some on eBay clearly fake the box was terrible and he wouldn’t have it, got money back from PayPal in end.
They won't be able to correct the audio quality or cable circumference or noise cancelation. Its just not possible to produce them cheep enough.
It's possible. The actual cost is not that high as you buy them. It's just those knockoff companies don't have the technology to do it. The manufacturing and all is trade secret. And it requires a lot of research & development experience to get to a certain level of efficiency, quality control, and good yield rate.

+DaMiaNNL The fake ones only enable a low pass filter which is very cheap to implement, the real noise cancelling sample the ambient sound and generate a signal to cancel it. Bose has spent a lot of money and resources to develop the technology, now do you feel someone come along and steal your hard work , if you thing these are too expensive just don't buy it.
