    My sweet but forgetful husband gifted me these earbuds a couple of years ago not remembering that I had a set of Sony over the ear headphones that I love. So the only time the earbuds were used was when I lent them to someone who didn’t have a set noise canceling headphones. Fast forward to the present and I have an upcoming international trip where I have to pack so minimally that my big headphones will be staying home. Having never worn the Bose earbuds, I began looking for a video to give me a quick primer on them and yours fit the bill perfectly . Thank you so much for all the great information, especially the tip on buying an Apple lightning adapter!

    Hello Ernest... thanks for sharing your review on the Bose Noise cancelling headphones. I have the pair for Apple devices. It is a must when travelling on long haul flights. I recently purchased the Bose sleep buds. They are great. My husband snores, so when I first heard about them, I was a bit skeptical. The past week, I have noticed that I am not as tired in the morning.

      I got the silver ones and they are good looking. They are really comfortable unless it's hot and you get a little sweaty. I do wish they had a little bit more bass though.

    I've been using these almost since they came out. I really like them on my motorcycle as they kill exhaust and wind noise well but you can still hear a car horn - different frequency i imagine. As a bonus the music listened to on a ride sounds nice.

      Me too! I was honestly skeptical when I first got them, and now they've quickly become part of my "must-have" list when flying. I've been able to get more sleep on the plane too with them, which is great. 😊

      I still think that the Bose headphones have better noise cancellation (which is to be expected). Though I am wondering how well some of the newer bluetooth noise cancellation earbuds (e.g., Apple AirPods) work. Those are even more compact! 🤓

    I bought the Bose noise cancelling head phones when noise cancelling was a new thing. The headphones are wired and use a alkaline battery. I know they are old but they still work well and I can’t justify replacing them.

    I love mine because you can rest your head to the side on a flight and it doesn’t hurt the side of your head. Also it doesn’t leave a big indented band across your hair like the over the ears sets do.

    • @TripAstute
      @TripAstute  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree! I find over-the-ear headphones to a bit uncomfortable. I know they work better, but the in-ear design is more comfortable and versatile for my needs. 😊

    On my previous bike I had a garmin665 that had a built in XM receiver and a receptacle to plug in a 3.5mm plug. Since replaced it with an Indian challenger with its own included audio system so I’ve been using the QC20 plugged into my phone. Bose recently had a sale on refurbished quiet comfort earbuds that are supposed to also have excellent anc and the Bluetooth will apparently communicate to the bike so we’ll see how they workout. On the bike the anc is important and overall music quality a close second.

      @@TripAstute weather here this spring has been more like winter. Last year I was riding in the first half of March. Our last blizzard this year was a week ago. Been out riding a total of three times this year. Got the quiet comfort Bose earbuds so I’ll probably pair them up in the next week and see how they work out.

    I bought them because I live in an apartment and my rude neighbors wont turn down their subwoofer late at night. I put these on and love the noise cancellation. Plus there are great for the gym or just listening

    • @TripAstute
      @TripAstute  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That sounds like the perfect use case for noise cancellation. Though I'm sorry that you're dealing with rude neighbors. I had a neighbor years ago (that shared a wall with me) that would play the drums in the middle of a night, so I know how annoying it must be! 😬

    • @TripAstute
      @TripAstute  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for checking out our video. There is an identical version that is optimized for Samsung and Android phones. It looks exactly the same, so I think the only difference is the way that the remote control interacts with the phone. I would go with that version if you are looking to use it with your Huawei phone 👍: amzn.to/2LXgXtO

  • @DigitalicaEG
    @DigitalicaEG 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    The wired version has two big flaws: battery is not replaceable and the wires are too flimsy and will wear out (also not replaceable)

    • @TripAstute
      @TripAstute  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I'll have to see how it holds up. It's only been a few months, but I really like them. It's definitely changed my views on noise-cancelling devices. 😊

    Bose = Disintegrating Earbuds, I cannot post any pics here. But I have a pair. In 4 years they were coming apart after using about 160 hours a year. long haul international flights. Not used at home or outdoors or anything like that. Oh yes they are great at noise cancellation but I don't think I should replace something that I should last much longer. Just go to Amazon and look up the reviews there. As one reviewer said, it's like renting them at $8/month.

    • @TripAstute

      Thanks for the heads up! Mine are still going strong, but Bose should address the issue. Disintegrating earbuds is unacceptable. 😞

    Tbh the carrying case for the QC 20 is too small, pretty sure it damages the wires if you pack it inside it.

      Interesting. I haven't noticed any issues with my case. It seems to work well for the earphones and some small accessories (like an iPhone adapter and headphone splitter).

    5:04 "I know you Android users are shaking your head" - in 2019 without a headphone jack on their USB type C Android smartphone, they won't laugh if they have forgotten their adaptor! ;o) Too bad a lot of Android phones are following this trend.
