      Sean Dambrosio Absolutely agree - I'm sure they are fantastic, and the noise cancelling features sound impressive - but all ear buds have a limited use life, and that's just too much money for something that will last maybe 2 years tops. I'd happily pay half that for a good set of buds, but not more.

    Bose is popular because it offers outstanding build quality, comfort, and sound quality that doesn't disappoint. People hate it because of its price but in terms of value, you won't regret buying them.

      Thank you. Realize that these kinds of headphones are for those who's main priority is to be able to focus. This means comfort and noise cancellation are the top priorities. Everything else is simply a plus. This is why, if I had one of these channels, Bose would always win over the popular Sony headphones of the same price point. I tried them on at a Best Buy, and instantly I could tell that the ear cups are tighter, and have less breatheability.
      THESE IS FACTS.
      Try them both on for yourself, and see.

      The engineering is great, but it was not designed to last long. I've had issue with control buttons malfunction and they replaced it. They are broken again for the exact reason but now out of warranty. If you never had to go through their customer service, then you are very lucky. Otherwise, it's every customer's nightmare when you were told "It's not our problem. You used it wrong!".

    Great in ear phones ever for me. I have bought Bose in ear phones since there early models, yes base is done a bit, but the noise cancelation works great for my bad ears. They may not be the best sounding, there earlier version sounded better, especially the surround sound like effect , missing in this model. But to me, they are great for what they do, looking forward to future models in the near future. This is my 5 pair to own, only problem I had was the right side ear plug can a part, nothing was broke, just broke in half, but like Bose, they gave me a replacement in about a week.

    Only downside to this as I see right now is the control module. If it was only smaller and possible a more cylindrical shape and not so close to your device, it would be easier to manage. I do love the stay in ear tips. I have the old IE2's and never has it fallen out when doing trails on my MTB or other workouts. Especially in cold weather. Good review.

    Honestly, Bose has the best sound together with sennheiser. You can't go wrong with both.
    I bought Bose AE2i for the comfort and sound and I love it!!
    And if you want a cheaper alternative to these Bose qc20, check out Bose Mie2 with excellent fit and comfort but no noise isolation.

    Good review! I have a question for you... I ride a fairly loud Harley with a 1/2 shell helmet. I like to listen to my Iphone as I ride but the problems I have are that 1) the Apple headphones are constantly being forced out of my ears by the wind and 2) I can barely hear the music over top of the wind noise. Do you think these headphones would be a solution?

      Noise canceling headphones while driving or riding a motorcycle is probably not a great idea. I think you'd be better off with something from Etymotic (or similar) which are isolating, but not canceling, and insert into your ear like an ear plug.

    Say what you want about the price.
    I have had the QC20i since August and I must be a moron according to you. The price tag is justified for me because I have never had earphones that could be put in my ears as good as the QC20i. The sound quality is very good so is the noice cancelling of course. If anyone of you intend to buy a pair; I strongly advice you to get the QC20i for the extra buttons, whether you can use them or not. You never know when you might come across an iProduct.

    Disintegrating Earbuds, I cannot post any pics here. But I have a pair. In 4 years they were coming apart after using about 160 hours a year. long haul international flights. Not used at home or outdoors or anything like that. Oh yes they are great at noise cancellation but I don't think I should replace something that I should last much longer. Just go to Amazon and look up the reviews there.

  • @adriansnetwork

    You know what we need?
    Noise reduction works by software and with help of a mic.
    A app with noise reduction software would be awesome!
    That way all headphones with mic can get noise reduction.

    • @adriansnetwork
      @adriansnetwork 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** but its exclusive to their special ear buds.

    • @DonutsInTheSno
      @DonutsInTheSno 10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      it would be extremely difficult to pull it off well, as the "anti-sound" needs to be perfectly timed to be exactly out of phase with the unwanted noise and different drivers and earphones may have a slightly different delay from when signals are sent to when they are played that needs to be accouted for and it might not work well depending on how far the mic is from your ears.

    • @nameless-user
      @nameless-user 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      It can't be digital on the phone. There would be too much delay in the signal inversion, and you would need a microphone outside of the ear cups to be truly effective.

      +wdoncare Depends on the model of phone.

    • @joeblack621
      @joeblack621 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +wdoncare Bose QC20 Android 2nd version has volume control, but only guaranteed to work on the Samsung Galaxy phones, but it worked on the Moto G 3rd Gem. 2015, XT1541, UK. Should also work on XT1541, USA, and XT1550, India's version.

    • @1cybdiver
      @1cybdiver 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Joe Black The volume control works to the device electronically, not as a physical volume control.   If you want an inline volume control check Radio Shack online.  The reason for not making an inline volume control would be it's a moving part and prone to failure. At least that's my guess.

    • @joeblack621
      @joeblack621 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      It may depend on which phone you are using which I have forgotten about.
      If you know somebody that uses, for example, the USA Moto G 3rd Gen 2015's version which I think that the model number may be called XT1540 to see if it works with it.
      If it does work it won't help you but if you can download Marshmallow 6.0 down to your phone it may solve the incompatible problems because Lenovo's Motorola's forum stated that it does with the Moto G3rd Gen UK's XT1541 version.
      In your position, I would ask BOSE and the name of the manufacturer who made your phone.

      They sound great i use with viper4android and emulate sub bass it sounds amazing. I've owned a lot of headphones other bose models as well best i can compare these to is one mostly not even in its league I had a pair of shure se535 audiophile headphones those run $550 retail on avg I've sense sold them bought these and pocketed some money did the shure se535 not sound better? Of course they did but at tje sacrifice of comfort i can wear these all day long and i do the shure se535 after 2-3 jours my ears would hurt and I'd need a break the seal was great but when using at the gym walking ect you hear yourself breathing you hear your footsteps which to me is annoying. The shure se535 are great but not worth the price the bose qc20 is priced high but customer service is amazing with bose and the product is top notch. I personally think the price is justified and do not regret buying then unlike otjer super high end headphones I've had in the past like the shure se535 which cost a good bit more than these and i like these better. Well they shake your brain with bass out of the box? No but with a good eq if you know what you are doing they can they're capable they're super high end and sound great

      Anthony Huynh you do realise the guy who is wearing the earphones in the video isn't the guy with the reviewer's voice right?

      And why would that matter if his point is correct? Who cares who the narrator is? He is pointing out that they aren't being worn properly in the video!

      They should really include the price in the video, if not lead with that.... I'd also like to know how they compare to something reasonably priced too...

      Petar Stamenkovic Don't see the point in spending that much on ear buds. I'll stick to a good pair of over the ears for when at home and then your normal apple ear buds when out.

      +Amin Momtaheni try adjusting the equalizer on your device. You're not going to get that boom boom base like Beats. Beats over compensates for it's lack of midrange by over extending the bass. Listen to a nice piece of jazz and you'll see the Bose are killing it. If you choice is heave rap then you do need the Beats.

    • @indra95ify
      @indra95ify 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Amin Momtaheni i use poweramp with the preset bass and treble with the bass at 27 percent no that's all fixed and the bass became real deep and punchy

  • @Potenti4lz
    @Potenti4lz 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Wtf, why do you need these noise cancellation bs, when you can just get great isolation from Sennheiser Momentums and literally not hear a thing on the outside world. Don't need a huge battery pack like that, looks 1990s walkway hideous along with the earbuds. Bose would have lost a lot of sales just on the earbud design.
