When you do these build guides it would be nice to see 2 different games and showing how you play/adapt to different strats or faction from your opponent, like if he goes Ostheer snipe. Light commentary going over decision making at key parts of the game. Loving your content as I’m getting back into coh after playing the original so long ago. Looking forward to your guides and knowledge when coh 3 hits.
Might be a good idea for a different series altogether, I want to keep these build order guides more focused on the general build and strategy, to keep them relatively short and easy to digest!
Mostly found you via SkippyFX. Would be fun to see you and skip cook up an interesting/wonky 4v4 strat and try to execute it, before CoH3 hits. He's been using your raid section build to great success, for 1v1 ! Great channel and great commentaries, your presentation of build orders is great, love the visual format. I was wondering - perhaps 1 full game where you executed the strat to a certain perfection (as an example, at the end of the video), would be fun, with your commentary. Really enjoy that type of stuff. Just some feedback. P.S.: I gather you either don't have time or there's not much revenue in youtube, but your vids are great, wanted to say - upload moar, brotha !
Been loving this commander since i watched your video. Having a winstreak with this guide. I love British a lot but hopefully buddy you can make other guide for british commander. Been having a little bit trouble for indirect fire with this commander. Unlike the other british commander that have land matress.
I tried your strartegy and I'm septic... I'm not a good player and there's some micro that i do wrong but it seems I can't win with this strat... I have the upper hand in the 10 firsts minutes and after the axe get some panzgrens and brumbars I'm stuck and I die slowly...
how do you keep them from dying so easily though ? they are quite expensive and I feel they die much quicker than volks or sections. Also do you get healing or do you relay on the drops ?
Raid sections are absolutely baller. I don't know if the Centaur is really better than the Cromwell. Weirdly enough, I tested each of the vehicle vs volksgrenadier (Comet and Churchill) and surprisingly they each killed the squad at around the same time. Maybe Centaur has more consistent AOE ?
I tested this too and came to a similar conclusion. I think the Centaur is more reliable when it comes to firing on the move, which makes it better for circle strafing an AT gun. It also provides AA and its Vet 1 ability absolutely shreds.
I was hoping you'd talk about the raid section matchups more, as in which scenarios they are good or bad in, any enemy strats to look out for and adapt to. Just saying they are an aggresive unit isn't thorough enough for a video where they are in the title. Everything else you talked about was pretty thorough which i find ironic
Good points, I kind of take it for granted that you already know that raid sections = riflemen, and thus medium range is optimal engagement distance. Other than that, the raid sections in this build is used mostly as a buffer to hit the centaur, as they allow ukf to have a strong opening without spending fuel on sidetechs.
very very strong build.. at a certain point there are simply too much units to counter (as axis.. only 1 time i ve played against this strat, luckyly 😅, and he beat my ass very badly 🤣) and they have complete map control... i ve tested it as english and is veeery strong.. i ve struggled a little vs axis assault squad.. but centaur vet1 ability is a carnage 🤣 too powerful.. i m going to use this strat every game now hehehe, thank you for the explanation ✌️ p.s. one strange thing with raid section is the cost of lmg upgrade.. 120 muni for an lmg that is, also, bad 🤔 Sorry for my bad english
I would like to try this build but I have some questions: What upgrade (meds/flares) do you give to the Infantry section? At what point do you get medics? Does this build work better against OKW or OST?
yeah ive tried this strat ive lost every single game ive played it must be around 10 games now. the earliest ive got the centaur out is 11/12 mins and thats holding one fuel the whole time just to be countered by a p4 AT gun and a snare and its gone after that i cant seem to get any tanks out and gg. ive had so much fun /s
Because centaur is a shit-tier vehicle. It has the same dps against infantry as Cromwell with commander upgrade. The only reason to use it is AA and command vehicle for teamgames.
The Vickers in general seems to have this bug, it is also important to mention that the Vickers performs only a little better compared to the bren on long range. So I would recommend you to just give your sections double bren, however if you have the extra munitions in team games or you simply already have the weapon half-track on the field then why not, sure go for the vickers. But be reminded it only performs a little better compared to the bren and on the fire it has terrible accuracy.
Cover, outnumber, molotovs and bait into mines! If youre struggling super hard then you can go for the weapon racks but like I mentioned, I managed without favouring the centaur and abilities
yes, true... i ve lost only 1 time in 10 games with this strat (for now) and the only time was against ostheer player who blobbed 3 or 4 infantry squad (gren\jager) with g43 on long range... Against OKW instead is super effective almost everytime
If you are really investing even a little time its really no problem to reach top 200 in 1vs1. You have to remember that coh2 isn't that big of a game, there are only that much people playing it.
At the moment I would say UKF is the most dysfunctional faction in the game and not fun to play. If they literally have to give you an essentially completely different infantry unit just so you can stand a chance in the early game something is wrong. Tldr UKF is literally unrecognizable from what it used to be like and they should really reconsider all this crap that they added as essentially a cope for the Tommies nerf from that one patch that they turned UKF into USF.
This is not the case; this is a very specific offmeta build that focuses on early pressure. Other factions has these too. I do agree though that ukf is the odd one out of the 5 factions
@@elpern you misunderstood me. UKF is not the odd one out UKF and to a degree OST and SOV have lost many doctrine mechanics and unit abilities that made them unique. UKF has lost the most which is why I call it dysfunctional. I am also referring to a specific patch (winter 2019 I think) that lowered infantry sections base accuracy and on the move acc massively, since then the balance team has been coping (lower MP cost from 270 and other small buffs). And after a year of UKF being objectively the worst 1v1 faction in the game they added raid sections and ass sections which you call off meta but an ass/raid sec in a UVC early game has no counter. The reason I was moaning about the game is that these doctrines don't fix the factions core issues but simply make UKF into USF raid=riflemen ass=assault engineers.
@@elpern there used to be another doctrine which was early pressure and pretty balanced commando but it was nerfed into oblivion because 325 munitions to maybe kill a shwer was op!
@@elpern they also added an ambulance (medics) and an officer unit ! The balance team is literally just making the UKF and USF the same faction. The UKF has so much contradictory crap in its kit its insane.
raid section is worst inf ukf ever had, models droping like flies and have low fire power. maybe if you facing team weapons spam but if oppo spam infantry y re back on a start.
I'm 3 for 3 with this strategy. Coming for your number 1 rank, Elpern. Watch out.

Thank you very much for making this video! UKF guide is very hard to find
Really good in depth guide to an unconvential strategy while also keeping it a short video.
BRo this was awesome i been using them so wrong cheers brother 👍👍💪💪
bro i have never won an online match until i watched your videos hahah. thank you!
Haha I think you give me too much credit, but cheers
Hearing that crusader theme song is a reminder that one day a stronghold match would be sexy on strem ;)
Castlejam is so nice. I like to listen to it as I SimStronghold in 4v4.
could you make a separate video on how to adapt the several factions' builds to 2v2 ?

Love it, in terms of playstyle it seems like a slightly less suicidal version of the USF Recon Support build.

Cromwell's crush tho...
So healing until late game would be exclusively through the inf squad ?

wow. what a vid! plzzx recover sappers build at some point that would be awesome. or special weapond

Does Infantry section passives work for raid sections?
I understand that intel bulletin buffs are very small but what would your recommend intel bulletins be for this build order?

Do you think the devs with patch the bug with the Vickers machine gun not firing on the move? Or Will the devs stop updating the game?
Its already been a year with this bug known, so I do not think so

i got casted by Tightrope with this build
but im on the Axis side 😂😂
This build is basically being a better OKW than OKW.
Problem vs okw is that they can have shrecks and at gun at this point and their at gun can retreat. Its much better for Ost
Personally with Gondor i prefer using gandalf as my hero rather an aragon.
Anyone wanna setup friendly 4v4 on coh2
