    It is common knowledge that Sasaki is the number one pitcher in Japan.
    He is still young and if he pushes himself too hard in the MLB environment, he will get injured quickly.
    With Shohei and Yamamoto on the same team and their advice, he will be successful quickly.

      It's inevitable he will have TJ ligament surgery in his career. Just take a look at any list of top pitching talent (not without outliers). It's now assumed, though. And analysis show that in his latest season he did have changes in velocity, etc that seem to imply he is a bit overworked.

    He grew up a diehard Dodgers fan. Ohtani and Yamamoto play for the Dodgers. And the Dodgers are the one team that can guarantee him a six man rotation, which is very important for his health. Other teams might not have the depth to do that consistently

      If everyone comes back healthy, and they resign Flaherty and sign Sasaki, they have a monster of a pitching rotation.
      Ohtani, Yamamoto, Flaherty, Glasnow, May, Stone, Gonsolin and Sasaki.
      They could just start whoever they want.
      All they need now is to resign their monster of a bullpen and they’ll most likely repeat as WS champs.

    • @dfchang813
      @dfchang813 10 วันที่ผ่านมา +5

      @@VannTheDawnwhy even waste time on Flaherty? Let him go and just sign Fried or Burnes. Those are the top two aces on the market. The rotation next year if everyone is healthy would potentially be Ohtani, Yamamoto, Sasaki, Glasnow, Fried or Burnes, and who the fuck even cares. They can trot me out as the 6th rotation pitcher and still win 100 plus games and the World Series. 🤷🏻‍♂️. Because he's going to make minimum wherever he signs then of course he'll go to the Dodgers - who get him for next to nothing. Without the ability to make him a big contract offer no other team has a realistic chance of enticing him - this gives the Dodgers a huge advantage over all other teams in signing under 25 Japanese players. Maybe MLB has to rethink what constitutes a "rookie" when it comes to veteran players coming from the NPB?

    Big market dynasties are good for sports. Period. In fact those dynasties built modern sports (Yankees, Celtics, Canadiens). Fluke world champions that peak one year and tank the next are what sinks interest from casual fans who can never tell whom to root against (see Nationals, Royals, Rangers, Marlins, Diamondbacks, etc.)

    Line up some of the thousands of Japanese sponsors Ohtani has for Roki, and sign him.
    Next year’s Dodgers’ pitching lineup could be as monstrous as their batting lineup.
    Hell, signing Roki on the cheap would let them sign Soto, too.
    I’m not a Dodgers fan by any means, but I love watching Yankees fans lose their minds.

      This is undervaluing what the Dodgers are trying to do. The Warriors aimed to create a dynasty that will have its window closed once Steph is out of his prime.
      By becoming Japan's team the Dodgers are aiming to have multiple dynasties.

    • @cococock2418
      @cococock2418 10 วันที่ผ่านมา +5

      How is this even remotely similar to kevin durant...? Durant is a clown who went to join the team that beat him when he was leading 3 games up. Sasaki joining the team that just won the WS and is LEAGUES above any other team in the league even without him (Remember, they missed out on like 5-6 Ace or near ace level pitchers this year due to injury that are all due back too), it's a guaranteed repeat. They've shown they can easily manage insane amounts of injuries.

    Sure I'm a long time Dodgers fan and I won't mind at all if the team signs him Juan Soto Corbin Burnes or Max Fried to continue to build the team into a dynasty dream team. A rotation of Shohei Yamamoto Glasnow Buheler Sasaki and Burnes or Fried would be great.

    • @dfchang813
      @dfchang813 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Great? If they stay healthy it would be lethal. That’s 6 man rotation with long rest between starts and each pitcher is top of order level pitcher. Fried and Burnes are perennial top 5 Cy Young candidates. The Japanese guys all have deadly stuff. The “weak” link would be Glasnow and Bueler with durability concerns but if they stay healthy are actually aces. This can’t be true. If it is Dodgers would be getting an ace level pitcher and still have money to sign another ace in Burnes or Fried and still have money left over to sign Adames after resigning Teo …. Insane.

    This has been rumor for a while now but somebody make it make sense why the hell would Sasaki or his club do this?? Okay I guess for Sasaki he is young and doesn’t want to waste years in Japan. He gives up money now, markets himself, and bets on himself. He’ll be 300 plus million dollars in his prime. But his club loses tens of millions why would they do this??? What am I missing here? I don’t see any leverage for Sasaki.

      You are ansolutely right. It makes no sense for Lotte, they lose about 50MIL plus Sasaki for nothing if they do this now. If Lotte agrees to grant Sasaki`s wish now, that could be if they had some previous agreement, just like Ohtani and Nippon Ham, although I doubt it.

He's playing for a team where Ima naga used to play. He went thought the rotation throughout the year without any problem and he's got some really good stuffs.
