    What does fair have to do with anything? The Dodgers had invested a lot of time and hardwork and money into creating a system where everyone wants to come and WIN. It's not their fault that other organizations can't do it.

    What I like about these Japanese players is that there so unselfish they don’t care about money that they just wanna play baseball cuz they love it

      There's about $1billion in contracts that seems to disagree with your statement that these players don't care about money. They do care about it because EVERYONE cares about money. However, these players are simply more willing to gamble on the idea that if they delay when they'll get paid, they will wind up making more money in the end (by increasing their odds of winning championships).

      @@barak-rocky-giles2081 much of the monies are deferred and the 1 billion dollars is already paid for via Japanese companies advertising at Dodger stadium plus broadcasting rights in Japan and Asia for exclusive Dodgers channel.
      And it’s not about it making money later. Endorsement contracts pay now for Ohtani and Yamamoto.

    Dodgers and Otani are raking in Japanese money. Dodgers got at least 10 major Japanese sponsers since they signed Otani, which is much more than the salary they are paying him and Otani is probably making more money off the field than his Dodgers contract.

    What this guy dont understand is that even though SASAKI will come on a rookie deal. As soonest he joins the DODGERS, SASAKI will get a hefty endorsement deal from JAPAN that surpasses any yearly rate for starting pitcher in the mlb. Plus world series rings 💍 are not promise. DODGERS are he best scenario for any player.

    Well for one it is no OUTBID if Sasaki is posted, He can only sign for max of 7.5 million or something like that, Dodgers have 2.5 million in international money which is the most in the MLB, But damn near every team fan afford to sign Sasaki, It’s gonna come down to who he wants to play for not who can spend the most, Cuz it’s a CAP on how much he can make first contract

    I've read that Sasaki has to be paid the league minimum if he is posted and comes over to pitch. Also, I've read that the player makes to choice of where he wants to play, it's no longer a blind bid lottery like it was when Ichiro came in.

    In addition to the Dodger's being best setup for a 6-man rotation compared to other teams, Japanese players do not always value individualism like westerners. Therefore Roki choosing a different team for the sake of blazing his own trail is not as important of an argument.

    Roki knows he's going to get mountain of money from endorsements and sponsors from Japan. So contract doesn't matter right now.

    I really hope Dodgers spend the money on Sasaki and Teo instead of on Soto! We have our own big three plus Teo so we don't need to spend that kind of money on Soto . We need to strengthen our pitching !

    Funny nobody's talking about 2 of the best hitters in Japan, Murakami and Okamoto are coming too. Apparently they don't appeal at all to the MLB teams. The problem with them is that they're terrible defensive players and at most average sluggers at MLB level. Oh and there's 35yo pitcher Sugano! Undoubtedly the BEST pitcher in the country right now (he went 15-3 with an 1.67ERA this season.) Only his age will be a factor. And the righthander Ogasawara. I dunno I feel like he's kinda Imanaga type (very tricky guy.)

    There will be no bidding war here. These guys are sports experts? Every team can get him on the cheap with international pool money. He is coming on a minor league deal because of his age. He’s costing 10 million max. Had he waited two more years, then it would be a Yamamoto situation and turn into a bidding war. Stick to talking about tic-tac-toe or something simpler.

    If the Dodgers get Sasaki, Fried and Soto baseball needs to step in and do something. I don’t know what, but something. Maybe a hard cap or not allowing deferred money years later.

    • @beckmanchilds756
      @beckmanchilds756 21 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The deferred money thing probably won’t happen. Because the reason players haven’t done it is because they want to get the most money possible and it hurts to not get that money Now. This goes through all sports. Some players will take less money and they get Praised for it. To defer money is a big disadvantage. What if you die without getting any of that money? Or if you have a career ending injury? Lakers and Luol Deng situation but with someone who is considered the best player.

      @crmille1 not that I WANT them to (& I'm a Doyer FAN), but so what if they did? What's stopping ANY of the big market teams from doing the same things. Just because they are the 1st in BASEBALL to do it (defer salary-- basketball & NFL GMs have been doing it for years, as a workaround for the salary cap) does NOT mean they're doing wrong, & it DEFINITELY doesn't mean MLB needs to take action against them. Seems to me that there are some GMs who are a little behind the time. This is a problem that can be corrected without ANYONE getting fired, blacklisted, etc. Don't understand why everything HAS TO BE so TERMINAL nowadays. It's like artificially creating drama when none is needed.
