I don't usually comment. But I started in the business about year and a half ago. I've learned a ton, but I always seem to pick up a tip or trick from you. Thanks for doing these. People do watch them and they do help people. Thank you sir. Let me know if you ever find yourself in central PA. I'll buy you a beer.

9:33 I'm all for reusing good (or cleanable) parts, but that strainer and gasket is less than $2 at my supply house... if you're in there, replace it for that price!
So that storage tank is for house hot water, shower, sink etc. ? Is it separated from the heat for the house? The waters do not mix ? Or is the tank just stand by preheat water to heat the house and they have a separate hot water heater
I used to have a hand pump that I would put on the oil line to see if I could pull oil up if I did then I would change the burner pump. If I didn't then my trouble was back towards the tank. I didn't have many burners with fresh air ducted to it and I'm wondering why it has a draft regulator on it?
If you looked at the video, the pump was struggling to pull the oil through to the hose Steve had installed on the bleeder valve, so when that happens, it's obvious the pump was bad. When he replaced and tested, the bubbles came at first, but the flow was very good, then it all cleared out within seconds. Now if marginal, then maybe a pressure test, but here, it was plain as day.

Don’t understand why they have a damper on that combustion air duct. And at the angle it’s mounted, I can’t imagine it’s actually doing anything anyway......
It’s not a damper, it’s a bypass in case the inlet becomes restricted, and can’t provide enough air for the burner. It will open up, and allow makeup air to be pulled from the basement.
Steve, I like the old Timex wrist watch you use for your dash clock...lol Love your vids! Keep up the good work. I was wondering, does that fuel oil smell like diesel, or not much of a smell?
I change 20-25 strainers and gaskets a week. Every single cleaning gets new oil filter, strainer, and nozzle. They are cheap and keeps pumps running longer
Steve, always learning something from watching your videos. Enjoy them and appreciate all the work to make them. Thanks !!

That was a mess. good repair. Steven Lav.
Wife was asking does Steven still have his chickens that lay eggs. Yes. I told her. When we going to see chicken video's..
That's what she said, "when in doubt pull it out "
Steve's wisdom of the day - "When in doubt, pull it out." 😆

Running good now. Nice job Steve!
Oh no another oil burner coming out. It's making my heart ache!
Lots of oil burners used in Massachusetts

Nice work Stevie keep up the good
merry Christmas and happy New year
Is it me or did Steve upgraded his microphone? Seems like the sound is now a lot better quality than before
Not trying to show anybody up, just asking. For your info, I check fuel pressure on all new pumps and gas valves. .
Super Steve save the day again. Peace brother
Nice job and video like always (Steve )

Hey Steve, I didn't see ya check the fuel pressure of the new pump. Did I miss something?
Factory-set at 100 psi
Yup factory set to 100psi
I’ve never seen him check fuel pressure in two years
Electric blanket awesome!!!!
How did water get into tank
Steve why wont you install his high efficiency gas boiler?
Steve why do a pump pressure test? Or was it too far gone to do so?

Thanks for video Steve, pretty crusty. .
Is 18 grand to much for a split 3.5ton heat pump to be replaced?
People always want to go forced hot air. I don't get it. If the system is already set up for water, why change it. It is the best form of heat.
great work steve!!!

8:13 When you're not sure if your condom isn't broken.
They got a new pump filter when he put the new pump on!
Nice work, Steve! You sure take care of Molly!

I was wondering, does that fuel oil smell like diesel, or not much of a smell?
Tim Hendley it smells like diesel. Gives me a headache being around it like this.
Fuel oil is just diesel with a red dye in it. Fuel oil is diesel
rinse the pump filter out and if it is really bade brake clean works wonders. I think in 20 years I have changed at the most 15 or 20 pump filters.

At 18min i said to myself. After replacing those filters. That pumps all gummed up. Might just need a cleaning,
Awesome👍
