It is all about their target audience. This audience is exceptionally mature (especially the comments section) and the videos are phenomenal to watch. Those channels you speak of (majority of them anyways) got their 10 minute video of fame off of some hyped up crazy moment and they saw their channel get flooded with views and decided to keep that kind of style because that is what keeps their target subscribers and viewers coming. We know you've done you part, putting together a car that covers up Richards shortcomings (hehehehehe.) Ben! Great camerawork! I believe I've enjoyed the Bargen Racement series as much as Binky and Escargot and I'm glad we have those two project to fill in the gap in CCC racing. Of course I'd like to see some rally racing with the two of you so get Binky out the door and get on that rally car! You can always use Escargot and the MG as off season fillers next year!
I thought that the interest was gone for me when you'd built it ... but then I haven't had much experience of you finishing things, so don't start on me - and actually, this is really fun; loving it. Not often I've seen this sort of racing from this perspective, so I'm really enjoying it, thank you all. "Fleshy gasket" - next t-shirt, surely?

Best Race EVER!!!! You showed what driver and car could do ...even when the chips were down!! FukinA!!! That's first place in my eye!! Well done Rick!!!!
I really wish this style of racing was more popular in the US and that there were far more tracks. The closest thing would be SCCA, NASA or Karting but with so few local tracks, it's impossible to join a series, unless you have the ability to travel across the majority of the US. One of the few Racing team channels I follow broke down their costs and it's roughly 10,000-12,000 per season, on top of the $10,000 they spent on the car(used 91 spec miata) but that doesn't include any maintenance on either the race car or tow vehicle. Autocross is the cheapest option, but good luck finding an event. In Michigan, there were only 4-5 events a year and I've probably only gotten 2hrs worth of seat time in the 5 years I did it before I moved to ND, where there's nothing other than Drag racing, Drifting and Dirt Ovals.
After years of watching you guys in the garage, I'm loving this series. We get to see a whole different side of you we haven't gotten to see before. Looks like a hell of a lot of fun. Really hope we get to see you in a rally series sometime soon!

You absolutely made me start building my own budget race car out of what started life as a clean low mileage Renault Clio 1.4. Not that I mind doing it but it's getting out of hand now that I gutted the interior and am in process of removing everything unnecessary out of the wiring loom. Even looking at a donor car for a 1.8 engine.
That's the beauty of this type of racing! Yes, you'll always get bumped up, but as relatively cheap as it is, who cares! SEND IT! Great video and race as always, guys!

Well done Lads, And some excellent driving from Richard. About the incident were you got called to see the officials. I would say fair enough. So with the lightening/weight reduction who knows....
@@stuartd9741 Sounds like the 3.2L diesel in my Pajero. Not much going on until it comes on boost, then the power curve goes supercritical.
How can 73 people five this a thumbs down! Its well produced, edited, funny and thrilling to watch!
Richard! You showed real talent out there. I can finally go to the racing series web site and read what they have to say as I've been avoiding that place so as not to pick up any spoilers.
Nick! We know you've done you part, putting together a car that covers up Richards shortcomings (hehehehehe.)
Ben!
Well said, a great group of chaps having fun and entertainment in spades 👍👍👍👍🏁
From the perspective of your driver is the way all races should be shown. Great race! Great video!
There is nothing that i like better than a new BOM video.. This race series has been fantastic. Please build a bike now.. I would love to see what you can do with a superbike ruleset. I'm sure you can dig up a motorcycle road racer somewhere. If not fly me over. ;-)
The number of times I watched BOM episodes, honestly watching it twice seems perfectly normal to me.
I never expected BOM to have a car on the track
This is the best motorsport I've watched in years. The combination of behind the scenes prep and on track drama is incredible. Cannot wait until next year's series
"Fleshy gasket between the steering wheel and the seat".. I'm sure he's been called worse.
I lost it at this
Best Race EVER!!!! You showed what driver and car could do ...even when the chips were down!! FukinA!!! That's first place in my eye!! Well done Rick!!!!
Great recovery, Great race. Well done! Makes F1 looks like kiddies carting in weird locations. Loved every min of it.
Binky? Escargot? You guys are killing us! Teasing us with this gokart!
After years of watching you guys in the garage, I'm loving this series. We get to see a whole different side of you we haven't gotten to see before. Looks like a hell of a lot of fun. Really hope we get to see you in a rally series sometime soon!
I will remember 2020 as the year when BOM started to upload weekly videos.
Shame it's going to be so long till the next race... Keep us updated on development though.. this, the same as your other vids is put together really well and makes it a good watch. Props to the people behind the camera too! 👍👍
Thanks Gareth 👍
This was a phenomenal series to watch! We never got anything like the Citroen in the US, but I love hatchbacks, so it cool seeing something new. I'm subbed and hope to see more of this type of content!
Love this. Enjoy watching this more than F1. Real cars, real people
This cup is exactly why I loved GT1 and GT2 most out of the entire Gran Turismo series.
So exciting! I usually don't watch motorsport, but this is just so much fun. I'm well chuffed mates.
great as usual!, ive never been too keen on watching motorsport, but with you're view on it, it makes it a great watch!
Great stuff lads, that looked like an absolute blast of a race. Huge thanks to the organizers and you lot for giving us this great series, the racing isn't shabby either.
Whew - that was close one more or less bump and it could all have been so different.
Well done BOM, looking forward to next week's little reveal......
the earlier episode mentioned "if the car turns into a roled up ball of snot"
Please do more racing with this when the next season comes.. Im marathoning binky at the moment after looking through the escargo build and the content is amazing.. just digging what you guys are doing!!
An excellent series. The video editing is as good as the bracket making.
That's the beauty of this type of racing! Yes, you'll always get bumped up, but as relatively cheap as it is, who cares! SEND IT! Great video and race as always, guys!
Great footage, great car, great driving and a great day out. Thanks guys just what we needed. Stay Safe.
Wow, great race, and as my neighbors say "Mad Skills" (I think they may spell it with a z or something).
Thank you for filming, editing and posting this.
I had found your channel because I love technology, and enjoy making things go very fast. However, I do not enjoy watching races.
This series of videos has changed things for me, I am enjoying this, and want to see much more.
Any relation to this guy? www.donblankenship.com/
Would be a heck of a promo for this channel :)
@@jeremywilliams5107 Sadly, I think so, but not an immediate member of my branch of the family tree. For what it is worth I do not even qualify as a black sheep in my family. They all seem to live on a very different planet from the one I inhabit.
woohoo P13 to P2, well done! Racing to a plan and keeping cool can work out rather well. What a great series this has been from build to race!
That was great racing! Thank you for sharing gents.
Well done Lads, And some excellent driving from Richard. About the incident were you got called to see the officials. I would say fair enough. But if your car was not there he would of ended up in the weeds. But those sort of things are what make circuit racing fun. He didn't try and punt you off on purpose. There was a gap and if I was him I would of went for it as well. As for the hit in the right rear wheel that sent you off track, that was a bit uncalled for. But either way Great effort and Great racing. I hope there are more people building cars for next years City Car Cup Series. 20-25 cars in your own race would be epic.
Thanks Guys for taking us along with your on your journey.
Great Work. Cheers.
Well done bud that was great driving. I almost ripped my arms off the chair I was that tense 😬
Only Nick could glue himself to the car haha. That cracked me up.
Loving this series. It just proves, the best racing comes from a single make series.
Absolutely edge of the seat stuff. Really exciting driving great work you guys!
When it rains at croft it rains! One thing is why did one of the top fellas say have fun and i make sure you wont get any hassle from scrutineering, at sliverstone. Then this round you get told remove all the brackets. So much for letting you lads have a bit extra fun!
