@TasiaCustode, you mentioned that additional Booking "Types" is only available with Google One Premium. What about Google Workspace accounts? Do we get this feature with that? (I don't think Google One is available for Workspace accounts?)
@@BradWieland yes! You could upgrade to either to get the ability to add more than one type of booking. With workspace they are called “appointment slots” and you can make multiple different ones, recurring or not.
I have used them in the past. But Google changed a lot since my last time. This really helped out. At the place where I work, it has been very helpful. I am in IT and a couple of times a year I have to perform scheduled PC swaps for new models. This makes it it so much easier than just emailing back and forth with appointment requests and keeps down time conflicts.
I use an iPad the option for “appointment scheduling” doesn’t appear. I also have the basic business plan. Does anyone have an idea why I’m not getting the “scheduling” options?
click the create button and then you will see the appointment options. It doesn't show if you just try to click into a day on the calendar, at least this is how it worked for me. Good luck.
I don't usually comment on videos, but I just wanted to say thank you! You were so succinct but detailed and saved me a ton of time testing the tool own my own. Thanks a bunch, great content!
I'm trying to create a golf tee time booking calendar. They are every 15 minutes starting at 7 am until 2 pm or later depending on the day. Some days have different times that need to be blocked out. It's a seniors community and they have no money so I'm trying to help them with a cost-free way to let people book online.
Are you able to set the location at the customer's home? For example, scheduling in-home consultations with the location set to the person's home who is filling out the form. Or would I have to use none and create a custom field for their address?

there is no way to stop double booking though with the basic plan. They force you to upgrade to the next level.
Okay I'm having a hard time figuring this out. My personal account I can do everything in video but on my business account where i want to use this all i have is appointment slots and in the settings I don't have the check box to change it like Ohers suggested in comments. What do I do or why is this a problem?
I had the same issue. I did a chat with Google and this was their response; "I have checked your subscription, but sadly Amanda the appointment schedule feature is not available for Business Starter plan. It is only available with a Business Standard Plan. A TH-cam video I watched said it was included with a free plan. It is included with a free plan, but not a paid plan? That doesn't seem to make sense. Sadly Amanda the free Gmail account you have seen has to be clubbed with Google One premium add on, only in that scenario appointment schedule will be added, and it will not be a free plan anymore." So unfortunately, this doesn't look like a free feature at all. I'm confused by the video saying that it is a free feature and all the commentors that were able to do this.
I'm definitely will be using this appointment slot feature over SignUp Genius for my parent/teacher conferences. It is AMAZING!... and I love your teacher type/style way of explaining. You too are AMAZING! Thank you!
At the very bottom of the Settings page (click the gear in the upper right), you'll see "Appointment schedules". Tick the box to "Create appointment schedules instead of appointment slots.
Hi there, this is super helpful. Problem I run into is where to make my link to my booking page avail. Is there a way to add it to your Calender without having to individually send it to people?
Thank you for your video ♥ Is it posible for lots of people to schedule at the same event? or if one registered then this is closed for the next ones to booking?
I want to rent out a meeting room, but I want to give bookers the option to rent it for 1 hour as well as for half a day or a full day. Does the option of the booker deciding the time exist?
Greetings. It was a very informative video. May I ask you a question please? Of course, I would not like share my whole calendar to that unknown person who only needs to book an appointment. What settings I can do, while sharing the calendar, so that he can only see the slots for which he can book an appointment? Regards
If I have 30 minute appointments throughout the day, is there any way my guests can reserve four consecutive slots at the same time? They can click each of the 30 minute slots, but I wonder if the process can be simplified if someone wants 2 hours of my time?
Following the directions EXACTLY. What would be the reason when I go to look at the calendar at the end, it says no times are available? I'm using one day only for scheduling, 4 hour block of time at 5 minute increments. Everything is fine until I complete it and go to look at it. Any suggestions?
Do you know if there are cancellation time limits. For example if the person wants to cancel the booking and its less than 24 hours from the appointment time, google won't let them?
I only see "view appointment slots" and in the settings I don't see an option for appointment schedule despite having Google Workspace. Any ideas as to why that is?
🙋🏾♂️A very informative video. Great audio and pic. I have just set up my google meet😊…how can I use goggle to meet a group meeting, 2 to,3 individuals with different email accounts..thx u
If I send by e-mail the link to my G Calendar, can the person access the calendar anytime since they have the link ? Or will they see only the week that you send them the schedule ?
I was really looking forward to this but it is not free. I pay for a Business Starter Plan with Google Workspace and it was still only showing "appointment slots" not appointment schedule", so I did a Google Help Chat and this was our chat: "I have checked your subscription, but sadly Amanda the appointment schedule feature is not available for Business Starter plan. It is only available with a Business Standard Plan. (Business Starter Plan $7/month, Business Standard $12/month) A TH-cam video I watched said it was included with a free plan. That doesn't seem to make sense Sadly Amanda the free Gmail account you have seen has to be clubbed with Google One premium add on, only in that scenario appointment schedule will be added, and it will not be a free plan anymore." So unfortunately, this doesn't look like a free feature at all. I'm confused by this video saying that it is a free feature and all the commentors that were able to do this. 🙁
I was looking at Calendly but this seems to be the same thing. Is this shareable between two accounts or so that the wife can add family things onto the calendar?? If so are the family things invisible to others? Can you make those invisible?
I had the same issue. I just did a chat with Google and found out why. This is still in the testing phase and was not released to everyone. What you have to do is go to your Google Workspace Admin Dashboard --- Apps --- Additional Google Services --- turn ON "Early Access Apps". THEN go to Account --- Account Settings --- Preferences --- New Features --- switch to "Rapid Release". Can take up to 24 hours to refresh and add it on. I just did this, so I haven't waited the full 24 hours yet... hoping it works!
Can you please share how to turn this feature off? I don’t use it and find it visually clutters up my calendar but can’t figure out how to turn it off 😭
I login with the gmail but use my domain email within gmail to receive and reply emails. How can this domain email be used as default when scheduling a meeting? I don't have workspace.
My issue is that ALL of the empty schedule appointment bookings show up on my calendar and create soooooo much visual clutter. I sent in feedback, but cannot figure out how to only have the booked appointments show on the calendar. Suggestions?
Im struggling to remove the slide bar on the right side of my google calendar that i embedded in my wordpress site- i want the booking page to be on the whole page so that there isnt a scroll for the booking page itself
I'm sorry if this is a dumb question. Do I need to have a different type of google calendar account to access this feature? I don't see it when I follow the steps.
You're better than the school district techy - can you do an update on how, if it's possible to arrange for multiple booking in a time slot? I have Book Fair coming up, I'm a Media Specialist and I'd like to have 2 classes come in per period. ThankS
I love my Google calendar but it keeps changing my events times!!! I keep changing it back and it asks me if I want to notify people, I say no but it still does and it's creating a lot of confusion! So I've taken people's emails off but I'm still having the issue of looking at things at the wrong times! Any ideas? TIA
One tip. If you have an event on your calendar that overlaps the appointment time slots it will override the time slots ONLY if the event is marked busy. If the event is marked Free then the time slots will still show up. This is huge if you want something on your calendar that’s not so important but still want to have the time slots available for booking.
@@Grandpa_RLP OK…. Lemme see….. Imagine you’re a fitness instructor and you use Google Calendar to manage your personal training sessions. You’ve set up recurring appointment slots on weekdays from 9 AM to 11 AM for clients to book their training sessions with you. One day, you plan to attend a casual, non-mandatory coffee meet-up with other local fitness instructors. This meet-up is from 10 AM to 11 AM on a Wednesday. While you want to keep this in your calendar, you don’t want it to block out your availability for training clients, since the coffee meet-up is informal and you can skip it if needed. So, you add the coffee meet-up to your calendar from 10 AM to 11 AM, but mark it as “Free” instead of “Busy.” This way, your 9 AM to 11 AM training slots on Wednesday remain open for clients to book. If a client books a session during that time, you’ll prioritize the training session over the meet-up. If no one books, you have the option to attend the meet-up without affecting your schedule’s availability for clients.
Thank you so much for so much information. I'm having problems letting the bookable feature reckognise an external calendar which I integrated into the google one. So, the g calendar would show the events frrom the external c. but it wouldn't block the availability of those events. Is it because I have the free version of the G calendar? thanks

Great video!!! I am presently working on a website for our beehive tours. I have managed to follow along with setting up the google calendar. The part I am having a problem with is when I add a booking button to the website and paste the calendar link, it keeps saying I have the wrong URL number. Love the way you present this, very easy to follow. Love it.

can this booking schedule be used in wix?
You can share the calendar to another email you own, though, so there is a semi-workaround in regards to other calendars.
is there a solution if you have diferent services and different timeslots?

can you connect stripe or payment processing to google calendar ? How do you get people to pay before attending a meeting or a class for example ?

What if I want booking clients to pay me for my time? Do Google calendar have any such option?
I only see "view appointment slots" and in the settings I don't see an option for appointment schedule despite having Google Workspace.
Any ideas as to why that is?
how can you manually confirm appointments instead of automatic
They caught up with the competition
To be fair, you could do this with a paid workspace account for years now. Nice to see it for free though!
Hi. When scheduling appointment does the other person (the one who is scheduling) has to be logged in to google account?
