12:00 Hey, Kazuya guy here. EWGF (Electric Wind God Fist) has a specific hitbox that ignores shields that activates if you hit a shield, and that's the thing that makes you pop out of shield when you try to shield EWGF. One awkward thing about this hitbox is that it's affected by weight, and some characters are heavy enough that they don't get launched off the ground at all when they're hit by it, which then means that there's a 7% chance that those characters get tripped when shielding EWGF, and Kazuya's actually plus enough for a guaranteed followup if that happens
Yeah I guess, but between getting hit by it or shielding it, I too would pick shield, the better option would be to roll, jump or spot dodge the move. I just think is dumb to get screw over for picking the option that is supposed to win against the majority of attacks in the game, excluding shield breakers.
15:06 that funky song is actually made by Alex Moukala, a composer I found out last year. I really like his funky versions of video game osts that he made
When Kazuya does EWGF the opponent can trip from their shield. I've only ever done/seen it on big body characters, I've tried many times with smaller characters but either I have shit luck or it's a big body character exclusive thing.
@@waynemidnight7454 Tough Guy actually has nothing to do with it. Any character who is heavy enough to not be launched off the ground when hit on their shield by EWGF has a 7% chance of tripping

The input has been called dashwalking or extended dash. Specifically for the case of buffering something out of it, extended dash cancelling. You can use it to buffer anything after dashing off ledge, or just getting more range out of dash cancelled options. It's built on dashwalking which just allows you to prevent run transition while maintaining full dash momentum. Yall gotta start implementing this. As for specifically fox lazer it's been known to have this weird boost from it for a while, I don't honestly totally understand why the boost occurs in this situation though.
