I love how the mommy and daddy names were certainly made for parents playing the game with their kids since the Wii was more targeted towards families but the internet like most things has ruined both of those words

The same happened to me, I do not remember tripping when playing brawl.

Certified Brawl Moments in this video. And yet I can't hate it. The game despite its flaws was a genuinely good time. And for what it's worth, Subspace Emissary was definitely the highlight of the game. Was fun watching you guys duke it out in this beautiful mess!
I really want a subspace emissary like mode in a new smash bros....it was definitely amazing.
I feel like Brawl gets more fun when you don’t play it competitively. Maybe that’s why I love it so much outside of nostalgia.

Brawl is the game I played the most as a kid. I was like 5 when I started Melee and 7 or 8 when Brawl came out. INFINITE nostalgia
I love my Mommy Nick and Daddy Vern. They're such great parents, though they do fight a lot but they always make up in the end. It shows how much they love each other

Pk freeze puts you in free fall. Which is what happened to Nick at 2:00. He got pushed offstage and when pkfreeze ended, he went into freefall.

Brawl has the best final destination theme AND one of the greatest cross over stories in gaming history. It ain't as bad as people think
I think it's also the problem of the way it moves, plays, and controls is very different than modern titles, since it was made to be played on Wii mote. Even Melee uses a much more traditional controller.
Once you get the hang of it, it's not bad at all. It's like playing a more casual melee without all the technical aspects.
@@Endershock1678 Yeah, Sakurai never intended for Smash to be a purely competitive game in the first place.
And Brawl is pretty much the epitome of that philosophy.

Looking back the gameplay wasn't all that great, but I CAN say....
Out of all five games, Brawl has the sickest art style.
1:46 you go into free-fall, if you use pk-freeze in the air (this also happens in sm4sh but they fixed that in smash ultimate).
And you got pushed off-stage by sugar so that counts as being in the air.
I would totally love to see you guys play Melee at some point

Brawl may have the worst gameplay and as well as balancing issues, which is why it isn't well liked by competitive base but it has the best mode content and soundtracks

Smash Wii U was the game where I started to improve in Smash generally, but I have a lot of fond memories of Brawl. Heck I didn't even know spiking was in this game until years later.
