Thank you for the tutorial. I'm a newbie for 3d animation, and for blender. So I wonder why didn't you convert the imported svg paths to mesh? In other modeling tutorials they always convert those svg paths to mesh. Does that means converting to mesh is not necessary in animation? (I really don't want to convert to mesh, because after that mesh become messy)
If you first scaled up your text object, is it possible you would not have to deal with such small numbers on your Bevel? Also it might offer more control over your lights and textures? Smaller. sub-decimal numbers limit your range in adjusting settings. I haven't tried it, but its just a thought.
It might, but I’m used to Maya where everything is smaller than everything else in every other package. Old habits... You’re probably right, but it works here decently...

Thanks. One way would be to hit Render Image from the top menu. A new screen would pop up, then use the menu to save it as whatever you need. I like 32-bit exr flies but most of the time a 16-bit png works well too.
So how do you make the Logo itself? is it just a graphic you make in a program like Photoshop then import and it comes out like that? I'd like to know.
Sure. I made this in Inkscape using the Domine font (free for commercial use) and saved it out as a .svg file. I imported it into Blender and gave it an extrude and bevel. Does that help? Thanks.

Ah, ok. It’s a .zip file so you would need to unzip it. You download it, right click on it (if you’re in Windows) and extract it to the desktop or wherever. I’ll upload there .blend file tonight for you so you don’t have to go through all that if it makes it easier?

It’s all good. Your English is fine 😀. You would need to change the text in whatever program you use to make this logo, in this case. You CAN also just use Blender text to make this same thing as well, then you can change it to whatever you want in Blender. Does that help?

That way you can do the whole thing in Blender and always change the text.
It is foreign until you start digging in. Once you begin, it gets addictive. It takes some time, but it’s worth it! Nodes are VERY powerful 😀. Just be patient and move slowly. You’ll get it.
You should of told beginners that you can control shift click on a node to view it in isolation in the viewport, messing around with the musgrave with it plugged in to the shader didn’t really explain what you were trying to achieve

It’s not always necessary. The renderer converts it all to triangles at rendertime anyway.

Wait, never mind. That’s a .blend file. You open in from Blender’s interface. Download it, then from inside Blender, go file - open. It should work.

Ah, if you change things, try using “object” or “generated” instead of “uv” on the texture input node in the shader editor.

Beginner question: My SVG imports outside of the plane and I cannot see it or move it.
Select it in the outliner then hit the “.” Key on the numeric keypad on your keyboard. That will zoom in on it and show you where it is.
how do you edit the text?
You would edit it in a 2d program then save it as a svg. You could also make the text in Blender, then you could edit it by hitting tab.
