I love that you lay out the final product before anything else, the steps that will take place in order to make it happen and then walk it all through nice and coherently. very professional tutorial. thank you very much!
how are you coming up with these ideas ducky. holy shit. your last few videos have been so inspiring. it's like i'm watching ducky 2.0 suddenly. (not that there was anything wrong with ducky 1.0, but this feels like a whole new level). amazing final render man.
A loop where it scrambles and reforms the logo would really set it off. One of these days I'll have to buy a computer and actually have a go with blender.
The way to project from view without needing to rescale the UV afterwards is one option down; Project from View (Bounds) Projects the UVs while scaling to fill the UV space as well as is possible.
wauw... This has given me a large scale of opportunities and ideas.! Thank you man :) it's like a magician revealing his secrets :D Have a nice summer!
amazing tutorial here as usual i even made it but had issues projecting the image unto all the ball and the only way it works is to merge the balls which messed up the animation. pls how did you do it without merging them
this is one of your best videos, and one of the things i most liked was the use of the spot light radius to create that round light gradient can you talk a little bit about that trick in a future video? because i've seen you use that trick before.
To anyone who has issue with the balls sliding out from the side of the box, use cube instead of plane. Not sure why plane not able to rigid body the side walls.
i use a laptop and have been getting indignant when people use numberpad shortcuts.. didn't know the tilda key did that until now.. this is loaded with tips!
i have one problem in 10:28 i just cant go to edit mode whit all sphere because when i selected all spheres and going to edit mode edit mode works only in 1 sphere
@@Heisenberg48346 look bro i already found a solution to this problem im just start again doing this project and you shouldn’t link whit control L so just start again and first use rigid body after duplicate spheres and don't use control L , idk but its helped me so i hope you can fix your problem
@@tt_semm1y917 I have found a solution too and it was to select them all from the collection and then use tab and it worked and idk why it didn’t work in the first place it’s weird. But thanks I’ll try what you did if it happens again with no reason and I can’t fix it like I did
It looks like they changed it in Blender 4.0 or something, but that's just my hunch. I have no idea how to fix it other than to just downgrade your Blender.
How do you get the spheres movement to be so smooth? All my spheres are individually shaking, it looks like they are going to explode lol. I can't seem to get the smooth rolling around like you get, but then again I had to set the Rigid Body to Mesh instead of Sphere because when I did Sphere the balls wouldn't roll they would just end up sticking to the plane without any movement or bounce afterwards.
is this simulation specific to spheres and that particular logo ,or can it be done with any type of geometry ( like teapots ) and any logo like textual logos ?
How would one add a little noise to the balls so that the logo isn't perfectly straight? I always find a little mess makes a whole design somehow cleaner.
How do I set up my nodes for three different materials, instead of two? I want to use a logo which has a white background, red icon and black typo. My idea is to set up a mask with white, grey and black, but I fail to mix the material for correct output.
literally the same here, but my logo contains 2 colors red and blue, and logotype is red. So I have white bg and red and blue logo. How did you solve that?
i don't know why but my rigid bodies just shoots up. is there any way to apply/remove rigid body on all objects at once. so frustrating to try anymore.
How do I add more than two colors to this animation? I have a logo with 4 colors and can't seem to figure out how to add more colors. Edit. I have a third color but it is acting as a salmon color and am not sure how to assign it the color i want
When I get to "project from view" blender doesn't do anything.... I've been investigating and I don't know what could be the cause. Can anyone help me, thanks!
In shading, you should go to the texture coordinate and change from “generated” to “uv”, and connect that to the vector mapping. Happened to me aswell and worked for me! Hope it works for you too 😊
been using blender for 10 years now most of which in professional pipelines. i gotta say i'm pretty confused by your workflow, as most of the times it makes no sense (eg: adding that invert node on the mask instead of just swapping the inputs or performing a select similar operation right after doing the same thing from the outliner). anyway it's so good to see all these tuts around, it's a great time for youngs to start using blender :D keep up with the hard work! :)
I'm curious. I'm doing exactly what he does here but when I hit play to make sure everything works the balls fall down very precisely (one full bottom row) but then only one of them moves slightly. In Duckys example you can see around the 04:00 minute mark how almost all of the balls actually move slightly. I'm on Blender 4.0.1 if it makes any difference. Perhaps they tweaked some settings?
Mmmh there is a way to create something like Maxim Zhestkov with that technique or is it something different, is there a tutorial somewhere (from your obvious channel) about doing that kind of simulations????

this is the Blender tutorial i needed. A-Z with something nice and practical AND a Render work flow!
I'm back to blender after a some months and this is just what I needed, thank you Nate!
Hell yea dude!

Dude I truly appreciate that!!

Yo your consistency is just impeccable
Thanks!
Wow. This has got to be one of my favourites. Really clever. Outstanding work as usual.
This is beautiful!
Pretty excited about this one, really cool technique
As always, thanks a mil Ducky!!!
I used to be inti blender and couldn’t do anything. It’s been a while and this is the reason Ill get back!

Love this. Tried it came out great. Thank you!
Awesome! This is badass great! More of these please...
I’m glad you liked it

Cool tutorial !

Another great tutorial, could of used a array modifier for the spheres
no
12:40, clearcoat in Blender 4.1 is "Coat" -> "Weight" = 1.0
Amazing!
Nice tutorial
Very good idea 🔥🔥🔥
Man, I gotta give this a go
Nice job MR. Ducky!!!!
Thank you!
Can I use a picture of a friend if the picture is big enough? like face or a fotball logo ? :)

He... he did talk about it. Did you watch the video? There's not really much else to know
Project from view at 10:34 does nothing to my case. The logo is still in every single sphere instead of the whole plate. Please help
That is exactly my problem... did you solve it? 😅😅
Hey man u can use shift + R when duplicating those balls, it will basically copy the last thing u did

bro you always creative
Thanks
I'm thanks teacher I'm try to learn ❤❤❤. I'm thanks again for sharing videos 😊😊
Wth are you taking to come up with such insane ideas. Damn, good job man!
Thanks!
Hi. To select by type you can use shift+G menu btw 7:33
And for not to scale UV every time- after unwrapping check "scale to bounds" in dropdown menu hidden in left bottom corner of viewport
The new updates are crazy i mean Simulation Nores 😄Blender is becoming OP
funny how these technique (and videos) existed already 10 years ago when i learned blender lol.

Have you got any ideas on dimples on a golf ball.
I tried the golf ball rout on the original idea but it wasnt easy enough to do for a beginner tutorial
