Even though I’ve been making music for years now. This is a perfect high quality I wish I had when I was starting out. I loved how you explained everything in detail but still in a simple and digestible way for beginners. Keep the quality content my good man. 🤟🏾🙌🏾💯👏🏾
Thank you very much for keeping this very basic. I’m an older adult learner and need the pure basics this is helpful. I will continue looking for more of your videos like this
Great video. Getting into digital music exploration and I kept seeing DAWs everywhere in my research. Thank you for this video. Definitely subscribing and looking forward to your content. Thanks 🙏🏻 Legend
Yo i just got into dabbling around with producing and you taught me a hell of a lot already. Definitely dropping the follow, look forward to learning more from you.
Hi, really helpful video. If you were starting out, had some keyboards skills (ok but nothing to shout about) and owned an iPad (so I am thinking maybe garage band here) what would be a decent ‘beginners DAW setup’? What else would I need?
Ease of use and because I am working on finishing an album that I started entirely in garageband. I’d rather not mess up my creative flow in the middle of a project to try and learn a new DAW.
God bless you for this. Please do a video on Synths and Presets. What is serum, massive, omnisphere and the likes. Please break it down. I am a beginner producer and I honestly don't understand those things. I just know that I will make drums, add chords and melody and that's all. I get my samples from splice and loop master, but I am yet to understand the place of synths, and serum, massive etc. that everyone keeps talking about.
I don’t have all of those programs nor have I ever used them to know how to break them down. I Only have massive. Just did a video on Pigments and basic synth design here: th-cam.com/video/on6HGH8tAlQ/w-d-xo.html There’s nothing really to know about presets. It’s just an already-created sound you don’t do anything to. Just pick it and start playing. You’re probably referring to sound design. Of which I speak about in that video. But not in depth.
I will make on on the basic terminology of all that. But not in depth as even I am confused by some aspects of synth design. Andrew Huang is who you’ll want to watch for super specifics.
Thanks for this series, because I’m a songwriter but want to start to learn to produce. This series can really be an asset to me. A question you can add also is what type of laptop to get ( mainly the specs) are certain specs important for music production ?
th-cam.com/video/t2OX_obCUH0/w-d-xo.html already did a video on that. Specs you wanna pay attention to is the ram and processor. More ram = better (8gb or more). Processor needs at LEAST 4 cores. Released within the last 5 years I’d say.
Are there DAW handles and DAW hinges? I'm here to check what a DAW is, as I'm trying to figure out connecting an old MIDI keyboard or digital piano to a computer's USB. So that I can use piano tutorial software.
Not sure what handles and hinges have to do with anything or if that was meant to be a joke about doors. Lol. As far as connecting midi to USB, just buy a MIDI to USB cable. I can’t say much beyond that because I’ve never had a need to do this as I only use regular midi controllers.
Thanks for the great content you put out and explaining this! With all your music expertise, I was wondering if you know why my GarageBand vocals aren’t working correctly? I use my iPhone 11 to record on it and when I listen back to my voice, it is like a scratched record if that makes sense. At first I thought it was from a lack of storage but then I bought more storage and it’s still an issue. At one point I wouldn’t even hear my voice when I replayed although it was on sound. If you have a solution, please let me know! Keep up the good work!
IAMLXGEND one, what’s your IG, two, on GarageBand, I have a 14 day free trial for the Anteres auto tune plug in but don’t know how to use it. Could you either make a video on it, or explain how to use this plug in properly ? Thanks !
Yea I’m allllll the way down south right before getting to Mexico 😂😂😂 if flights are cheap enough, I could probably do a day trip. I’ll have to check sometimes they’re super cheap.
sup guys, i wanna be prod and makin some yeat/drake/carti beats, i found Amped Studio, it s pretty good i think, if someone can give me some advices how to makin music or tell me about this daw, i apr u so much.

Just wondering why you use Garage Band and not Logic Pro X?
Ease of use and because I am working on finishing an album that I started entirely in garageband. I’d rather not mess up my creative flow in the middle of a project to try and learn a new DAW.
Cool, makes sense, I love how quick you reply!!! Thanks you are great! BTW, I found your video in China super inspiring.

Great video, well explained. Many thanks
I know that I’ve been in music production since I was 12, as I started in the summer of 2017. (I just turned 19 this past October)

1. Same as my TH-cam: @iamlxgend
2. I don’t have Antares nor have I ever used it so I wouldn’t know. I use wavestune.
See this is what I mean bro, you make something like this n I go offline because you've just opened so many doors for me! Thank you!!!
How do you switch from making music on a computer vs performing live if you’ve used a DAW?
What do you mean? Like using live instruments or playing your studio productions at the live show?
Woooow
Good explanation.
I’ll be in San Fran on the 21st - 24. Let’s link bro idk how far that is from you
Shit you 8 hours away lol
