Hoi, also das was du hier ablieferst, verdient einfach nur Respekt! Es ist einfach nur schön zu sehen, wie eine Landschaft entsteht... Ich kann mir hier sehr viel Inspiration für meine Anlage holen. Danke, das du uns mitnimmst. Gruss Patrick
It is always amazing to see how a "touch" of green changes the whole perception of a scene. Looks brilliant again. Can't wait to see the scenery completed !
Not everyone can naturally make things look so realistic without overdoing it, or paint background scenery like this with wide and easy strokes, choosing colours and shades to look so good. Same goes for the layout elements, materials and how much and where to use them. You have to be artistic to do it. Beautiful work. You got me! Subbed to see the rest.
Lewis, I learnt a lesson tonight. As I got worried about spraying water on metal once I'd ballasted I attempted to clean the rails and of course cus the track was only glued down with PVA aswell it decided to pop up. Still, got there in the end and I wouldn't have ever attempted it if it weren't for your videos. Thanks 👍
@@MouldyRaspberry I'm basing on polystyrene which was a bit of a test to see if gives good sound deadening... It doesn't... :) I'm probably going to go to a full board of insulation foam, to make it easier to lift about. This was just a tiny tester to try a few techniques. I've just this minute finished a cardboard kit from super quick, first ever... But cheap and I needed a bridge. Not sure weathering cardboard will work well mind you. Hope you are ok.
A great clip and so relaxing to watch ,I just love your work and the effects you get.....await the next update.......cheers for sharing your building of this NEW layout.
Bonjour Lewis, You make fantastic progress! Interesting products you're using. It all blends naturally in a wonderful peaceful scene. Very well done & love it ! All the best. Cordialement, Filip
Excellent job - as expected. Great initiative to present your skills to the general pundit - gives us all more options, ideas, and a platform reference to assist all building projects. Very nice. Al.
Fantastic! The grass falling on the walls made them look mossy and blends them in even more and they look even more realistic as a result. The music in the background is superb too.
Dude, you have a breathtaking sense of place. Whoever wakes in England sees it unaware. That is a most convincing road. Where I'm from, it would be khaki tan, but the texture is spot on...
What a wonderful beginning, and so much more to come! So much of what you do is truly museum quality work, from the concept and layout, right down to the finest detail. A joy and a privilege to watch.
Excellent work as always. Great attention to detail. Your work gives me loads of inspiration for my layout. Keep up the good work and look forward to seeing the rest ☺ 👍
I’m amazed how quickly you managed to pull it all together. I’m sure there was plenty of preparation that went on in the background to allow this to happen. Is looking amazing, always liked the original layout and wondered how you went about creating, thank you for allow me the insight how it was done. Cheers, Rich.
The ballast looks very realistic Not all cleaned off the sleepers and blended in nicely at the edges The Geoscenics look good thanks for the link. I like the back scene dark and light giving it some depth. I know it will mostly be hidden by trees in the end so no need for an expensive photographic one. I also noticed the station name board that disappeared later You tease LOL. A beautiful layout in the making and some lovely music you have chosen adding to the relaxed atmosphere of the countryside.
As a lover of fine detail I can appreciate the hours that go into something like this seemingly simple scene. It's shaping up to be quite stunning. Hats off to you sir! Cheers, Jim
Hello. It’s always a pleasure to watch you create. Thanks for introducing me to Geoscenics. It seems to be a good line of products. Thanks for the update. See ya next time.
Wow it's coming along nicely - the detail you apply to scenics is just fantastic and amazing superb work -can't wait for the next instalment -absolutely love it 😎😎😎
This series has been fascinating and I can't wait for the next episode. You show us how you do things and how each bit builds the layout to be something that looks real without preaching at us. I just wish I could do what you make look so easy to do when I know it's anything but easy.
Hi Lewis. This is coming together really well. It's easy to see at this stage that so much attention is being paid to getting everything blending in together, thus creating a realistic overall effect. The buildings look really good and should blend in well with the scenery. As always another enjoyable video. Cheers Chris.
That's really beautiful. When you were painting the backdrop, it made me think of the late, great, Bob Ross, for a moment. I love watching other peoples' model railways because there's no way I can have one, for two fairly good reasons: (i) I haven't the room; (ii) Even if I did, there's a small child in my household who has not yet grasped the concept of looking, not touching. So I'm happy to be fascinated and delighted watching your videos. Thank you!
Great scenics in progress, I love them all ! That makes me want to go there for my next summer hollidays... I guess you have some nice idea for scenicking the underpass, leave us the surprise, I'm sure it will be splendid as usual ! By the way, great trackplan, simple without being simplistic, and with a prototypical look that's fine. I want the same ! Let's wait for the next issue, this work in progress is pretty addictive if you are train-minded.
@@MouldyRaspberry One possible idea : a painted or drawned false perspective tunnel exit, maybe with a combination of forced perspective and low relief to get a 3D effect. I have the idea of a half conical-shaped like bricked wall to simulate the whole tunnel lenght and paint an half-size, or smaller, tunnel exit at the centre to simulate the whole lenght of the work. I think you can simulate a 200/300m tunnel on a setting as shallow as 5 to 10 cm this way. Something to try...
Mr Raspberry !! Your at it again, thanks for the insight. Scenery is one thing in model railways I feel is the most challenging. You have cracked it. Thanks again showing your methods. Regards Alan at Buckland Junction :o)
Wow... you must have the patience of a Saint! And you're clearly extremely talented. I wonder if you can get into doing this professionally? (Well... I work for Network Rail and I'm on the Trans-Pennine Route Upgrade team so in a way, I do!) Anyway, that was a pleasure to watch! Amazing stuff. I just wish I had your abilities! Bravo!!!

Some good reminders of what I should be doing and should have been doing for the last three or four years. Thank you.

You make this look easy but I’m sure it takes much skill to create such natural looking landscape.
Thanks Graham!

My wife and I love your layouts so much because they have so many charms!!!
Thank you both!

Many modelling questions answered just by watching your video, well done and many thanks, great work 👍

Beautiful, so natural seemingly with out effort. Are you an artist, your ease of motion with the brush and the way you hold the brush hints at that.
Thanks you, appreciate it. No I’m not much of an artist!
As fascinating and impressive as ever. Thanks for sharing it.

Beautiful work. Your layering of the grasses really turned out nice. Great work. Thanks for sharing and stay safe.
Thanks Larry, you as well.
Nice indeed! Thought that was going to be a water feature of some sorts, but the road works as well., ( really like the road material used )
Thank you 👍🏻 I did think of going for a canal, but I wanted to get the cottages in there somehow.
Road is brilliant - that Geoscenics stuff produces probably the most rural English road I think I've ever seen on a model
wonderful to watch it grow ......that drystone wall looks really effective . Your painting and use of colour is spot on . Wales UK.
