Just using backwards jumps to get speed is easy/a good technique everyone should use in these games honestly. It's completely perfect fast accels in speedruns that are hard and precise

The sign after the first pipe reads "deguchi", it means "exit" in japanese. (You've got this everywhere in japanese train stations, malls and shops. ^_^)

I assume the Goombas that act like Koopas are supposed to be like Galoombas from SMW. Interesting idea, and it works, especially when the game has no grabbing, although best way I could see would be to have Mario kick it a short distance. I also prefer it to how they work in 3D world since they die if you touch them at all when flipped meaning you can’t throw them at all.

20:25 Watching live, it looked off to me, like I thought they were blocks, but I had to slow it down for me to pinpoint why I was seeing those blocks as different (they were shimmering slightly in motion, i.e. the solid white shading).
World 2 seemed like near-Mario Maker SMB1 Super Expert kaizo jumps, or as much as possible with one window-high screens. Imagine invisible enemies in SMM (21:00). XD
