    Strange that someone would give thumbs down 🤨. Sometimes people are very negative. Thank you Terry for this video. It answers a lot of my questions

      No worries. There are people who don’t like a video because they do something differently.

    Thank you for the video Terry! I am interested in a ScanNCut, but would like to know if there are videos that show the next step of attaching and sewing the cut appliques on to your fabric. In other words, what is the best way to hold the cut piece in place before sewing? Do you do the outline stitch, iron with the heat and bond, and then sew in place? TIA

    Can you use heat and bond on the fabric mat?

    what does it mean when no cutting line data is shown?

      It means that the design doesn’t have the Brother thread color coded as an Applique Cut Line. This thread color appears in the Brother Country and Brother thread chart on the Luminaire, PE Design 11, BES 4 and other machines and software.

    Hi. Im new to the ScannCut. Im learning watching videos on how to do it. I have the same machine that you have. I watched your video because I have an applique with different parts and need to be ungrouped. Just like the one you have. However, how can I convert the .pes file of the applique that I have to .svg to do it on Canvas? I will appreciate your help.

    Hi you did another great job, I have multi needle machines and the Scan and cut 330D. I did not take up embroidery until November 2020 at age 65. It has been fun and a great hobby. I served 20 plus years in the service and am 100% disabled vet. I used to play golf and sports but after 17 surgeries I needed a hobby that did not require to much movement. Your videos have helped a lot. thanks

    Do you enlarge the designs at all? I am afraid they cover stitching would miss some part of the piece.😊

    Thank you for the video - I just received my scan and cut DX and it came with the standard mat. I removed the backing of the heat n bond lite instead of leaving the paper on -and put it directly on to the mat and all the adhesive is now sticking to the mat and I can’t use it anymore. I tried leaving the backing on and nothing is sticking now and keeps bunching up and stopping the machine. I used some baby wipes try to clean it up but that’s not helping. Do you know how I can clean off the adhesive and salvage the mat? Thanks!

    Ok so hep… I just got the DX and am planning on cutting my first appliqué tmrow… I have a fabric mat Nd fabric blade… so all I need to do is ‘starch’ my piece vs. heat and bond? LOVE IT thankyou! I’m putting the appliqué on a pillow case!

    Terry I love your videos. Can you please do on on cutting wool with the scan n cut..How do you stabilize the wool so it does not shift around

    • @spons115
      @spons115 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I would like to know that too. Can you use wax paper to stabilize the wool felt?

      I just tried wax paper and parchment paper and neither one worked. 😊

      @@spons115 I have used heat ND bond light on the standard mat..with the paper heat and bond facing the mat and works ok..sometimes I have to cut it twice.

    I don't have an actual file, I just have sizes of all my pieces that I need to cut multiple pieces, is there a way that Brother ScanNCut can take picture of the design & I can put the sizes in the edit?

    Great Video, could you possibly do a video on incorporating the simply applique module part of the BES4 software, canvas and scanNcut please x

      I don’t own Simply Applique but I can produce a video showing how to use applique with BES4, canvas and ScanNCut. I also recommend watching the free videos from Cindy Hogan from Brother. Follow Brother Sews on Facebook.

    Are you saying if I use the fabric mat, you can’t use Heat n Bond?

    • @terrymaffitt4012
      @terrymaffitt4012  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can use Heat and Bond with the fabric mat but I wouldn’t remove the paper. I would test it with a built in image and try it paper side down and fabric side down (reverse image). The paper will dull your fabric blade quicker than just cutting fabric.

    I used my fabric mat and the paper from the heat and bond stuck to the mat. So, I took care of that problem and then tried it without the paper and the gluey stuff stuck to the mat. Do you know of a good way to clean that up?

    I am yet to purchase a machine, as I wanted to know that it could fussy cut flowers from a floral material. Of all the videos I’ve watched, yours in most informative

    • @tampabaylisa6151

      I did a class once where we scanned in a piece of floral paper and then selected a flower and cut it out. It was so cool! You can do the same thing to fussy-cut fabric!
