Very true! I have a 2016, 2018, and 2020. Just smelling the atomizers you can tell! My 2018 does something magical for some reason❤️ , I think sauvage EDT is still way worth it!
It’s always difficult to compare fragrance batches because the older batches have matured(macerated) more and become more potent…. Maybe if spray a bit and allow the new batch for same time you would get similar performance… I experience that often
@@BigBoss-bi8qd use like 50% of the perfume over 4 years .. by this time the remaining 50% will be very potent than when you started using it….. when you spray and air gets into the bottle to fill the space it makes it mature over time

I'm not too sure if it isn't just maceration. I have a new 2024 batch (some months old) and now I just got a used January 2018 Batch with 190/200ml left. The older batch is a little bit stronger and it misses the citric opening. But that could just be because it is 6 years old. My 2014 Bleu de Chanel edt almost has no citric notes in the opening anymore compared to newer ones but I remember it being very citric in the opening. It's just that the top notes fade over the years. Vintage bottles that are decades old usually miss the fresh citric top notes, too. So basically I think it is either just maceration or dior reformulated dior sauvage before 2018 (which I highly doubt)
It seems like they are doing what Versace Eros did the edt is less strong and the edp is basically the first batch of edt when it first came out and it was beast mode
Hey I got the original dior Sauvage EDT from Sephora, but I was really shocked after trying it out that it will only stay 3-4 hours on my clothes, projection like 10-30 mins but scent was great. Even tho everyone else in youtube and everywhere where saying that sauvage EDT stays 8hrs+ and projects for 2 hrs. I never got that with me, it would be gone quickly. I tried it also on my friends, I sprayed it on my clothing in the closet also sprayed it on napkins and left it inside my closet. Came back after 5 hrs and the smell is gone. I thought I had the fake one, I went to sephora to make a complaint saying that they could’ve sold me a fake dior sauvage. And upon checking badge number, it turned out that mine was made on September 2022 so that probably could be the reason. Really bad experience not buying it again
I experienced this as well. If I'm going for a designer blue scent id rather get dylan blue 200ml for $65 so i can spray however much i want and not worry about it
When I first smelled Sauvage EDT I was comparing it to Bleue de Chanel EDT, and in fact I liked Sauvage a bit more. It reminded me and still somehow reminds me of some melon mojitos I have had in the Canary Islands.
Sauvage edp completes the dna imo. The pepper compliments the sweet nutmeg in the edp. Sauvage overall with its spicy vibe is best for colder months which is why the nutmeg vanilla in edp masters the juice. Id much rather wear BDC the warmer months as its fresh and uplifting over peppery.
To be honest the Edp is the musky type fragrance and the girls who loves and attracts to musky men are more like to smell that fragrance more and for those who live the edt they are like of the boys type fragrance. (Not for men) And sill-age of edp>>>edt as it depends on the situations too. In winter time, no one can beat Edp sillage in comparison to edt
The new batches are weak sauce. I bought an old batch of edp it was one of the best things I've ever smelled. BUT it went rancid and off in a month. I sprayed it once because I was trying to save it... Two days later it went off. They replaced the bottle with a newer batch. Boring. It is so boring. Get an older batch. But bare in mind you're risking it

Maybe same as aventus?not sure. My aug 2020 batch was a beast in longevity and projection and the smell itself. My nov 2020 smells like a mess. And my dec 2021 is very citrusy which i dont prefer, less projection ,ok longevity. Maybe they tamed it a little bit so it can be wear in an office setting. Like joy said, less peppery and lavender. I keep buying it searching for the same smell as my aug 2020. But i just wasted money.

try gentle elsatys for instance. Lasts the same time as current formulation for sauvage edt. Think about it, cheaper, lasts the same time, smells the same (don't lie to yourself). It is objectively better.

From what i understood, they transformed the edt into very cool spray.
The newer batches lost their spicy sweetness, also I feel like it has lost a lot of the expensive ambroxan
